Prior to signing, she provided details about the photographer’s experience and explained the process to lock-in that photographer. Based on that information, we signed the contract and paid a $500 deposit. After signing, we were transferred to the Chicago coordination team (our main contact was Nora). When we followed up to confirm the photographer’s appearance in our client portal, we were told (about a week later after signing) that the photographer was no longer available. We were surprised, as this directly contradicted what we were told by sales. Nora then explained that the company is not responsible for any statements made by salespeople. Despite this, we decided to continue forward, and also asked for clarification about the cancellation policy. Nora stated: “as per our cancellation policy, since it has been more than 7 days since you booked with us, we will retain the $200 deposit and refund the remaining amount.” Two weeks later, we received a list of two available photographers. Nora confirmed in writing that she had personally verified their availability and that they were reserved for us in the system for 48 hours. Within that timeframe, we confirmed our choice. Shortly after, Courtney emailed us stating: “I’m happy to officially confirm that we are locking Nebojsa in for your big day on July 5, 2026.” We were relieved and excited to move forward. However, when we called a few days later to check on portal updates, Kate (a manager? overseeing the Chicago coordinators) informed us that the photographer was not available after all. She also stated that Courtney’s confirmation email should never have been sent and that Nora’s earlier explanation of the cancellation policy was also inaccurate. Kate specifically said that George Street is not responsible for the accuracy of the statements made by its salespeople or coordinators. At this point, our trust in George Street was irreparably damaged. Even if we chose another photographer, we had no confidence that the company would honor the selection. Given that available photographers reportedly had cancellation rates of around 10%, we felt we could not rely on the company for our wedding. We terminated our contract. Unfortunately, our experience with George Street Photo & Video has been one of repeated misrepresentation, lack of accountability, and internal miscommunication. We were given multiple written assurances that proved false, and company representatives have consistently disclaimed responsibility for their own employees’ statements. We cannot, in good conscience, recommend George Street to anyone seeking reliable, professional wedding services.

She listened to our requests and followed through with everything we asked for. She kept everything flowing when we were taking all the posed family pictures before the ceremony and selected excellent backgrounds for these pictures. During the ceremony and reception, she worked in stealth mode, never getting in the way of anything but capturing great shots. The photos came back quickly and we were very excited with the finished product. Do not hesitate to go with George Street on your special day and make sure to request Terri. She’s great!

I’m disappointed that we entrusted the photos of this important day to George Street. If I could go back, I would not work with George Street. Update: we have now been trying to remedy the situation for OVER TWO YEARS with George street and they haven’t offered any constructive solutions. They did not deliver on their promises in the contract we had with them, they misrepresented their photo quality and photographer’s skill level, and they are essentially scammers. We were forced to pay for a different photographer out of pocket to take better photos of us, with the obvious disappointing caveat that the new photos aren’t from our actual wedding day. Please save yourselves the disappointment and sadness and don't work with this company!

George Street was absolutely amazing when it came to working on the best package for what we needed, sending out a day of schedule (which actually helped me with all of my other vendors), and you have the option of a single or double photographer day of. The turn around time is absolutely AMAZING & the prices are so fair. We are over the moon about how everything turned out!

It took 3 months of editing and the editing was blurring, shaking camera and not a good overall video. During the wedding day the videographer was not personable. I usually never leave reviews, but after just now receiving our wedding video in November, we are disappointed with the quality.

Our photographer had experience in the area we were having our reception and was able to help us find a beautiful location. Our photographer, Gina, is amazing. Super chill, kind, gave great suggestions and was very friendly. One suggestion she gave saved our cutting of the cake photos and our first dance photos. She had experience at our venue and knew that they have a spotlight that they like to shine on the cake and couple, however the lighting is really bad for the photos because it causes shadows. Because of Gina, we were able to have that light kept off and our pictures are amazing. Absolutely beautiful. Each one is like a work of art. It was very hard to narrow down photos for our album. I highly recommend George Street. The quality and the service will exceed expectations.
