The folks at Georgetown Bride are incredibly nice and professional. The main reason that I am giving them four instead of five stars is because my hair (and my bridesmaids' hair) ...
really didn't last long. Obviously we expected curls to fall over time--especially because it was sprinkling on my wedding day--but I at least expected my bun to make it through the ceremony. It didn't. One of my bridesmaids had to keep putting my veil over my hair during the first look photos to hide the fact that my bun was coming completely undone, and another had to tie my hair in a normal bun after first-look photos so that I could walk down the aisle with an up-do like I wanted. It could've just been a one-time quirk (because really my hair trial went SO well), but I was quite disappointed that the bun lasted like 2 hours on my wedding day, and I am bummed that all of my reception photos will be me with a ponytail (which was just the anchor from my bun--luckily my sister was able to hide the rubber band with another strand of my hair).
Melissa and the Georgetown Bride team are so wonderful! Melissa and Tamara did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, mother-in-law, maid-of-honor, and grandmother at my wedding in Ju...
ne 2022. They were so accommodating — even adding an extra person onto the list at the last minute — professional, and fun. Melissa and Tamara both took into account what we each wanted to look like and made sure that their hair and makeup designs matched what we all envisioned and that we all felt comfortable.
After my hair and makeup trial months before the wedding, I had asked Melissa if we could make some changes to the styles I thought I wanted, and she executed all of the changes perfectly on the day of my wedding! I felt like me, but 1000% more glamorous. I was confident and happy walking down the aisle due in large part to Melissa and Tamara's magic!
Melissa and her whole team were AMAZING. Seriously so easy and flexible to work with. They traveled out to my VA winery wedding early in the morning and were set up and ready to go...
well before our start time! I was a bit stressed with my whole timeline and they finished ahead of schedule - gave everyone a lil touchup before they left and made it a BREEZE to get everyone through. Melissa had a handy chart for me to give ladies so they knew exactly how much time they needed and what time they needed to be in the chair. My gals all looked so fabulous and even with the insane heat we had that day they stayed flawless all through the evening.
Kelly and her team were a dream to work with. I had spoken to a handful of other hair and makeup vendors prior to contacting Georgetown Bride, but as soon as Kelly called me for ou...
r initial consultation, I knew she was the one we needed to book. She was so easy to work with and was incredibly understanding and supportive throughout the minor snags we had in the planning process. I had a small wedding party (3 ladies total including myself), but the team at Georgetown Bride was accommodating and never put us on the back burner despite our small group. Our artist Andrea was so fun - I had my trial about 4 months prior to my wedding, at which time Andrea took lots of photos and made notes about my final choices. It was like we had known each other for years, she was a blast to work with. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on the day of my wedding, all thanks to their wonderful team.
Anthony and his team of stylists were so fun to work with, before and during the big day. He was very patient with me and worked to make sure we achieved the exact look that I want...
ed, even when I wasn't sure what that meant. I felt stunning. They did a great job making me look classy, but still myself. And my bridesmaids and family also loved their looks.
I first emailed Kelly with Georgetown Bride less than 2 months before my engagement shoot in DC. She responded immediately, answered my questions clearly, and made it so easy for m...
e to get the contract signed and deposit paid. As our engagement shoot got closer, we started to panic about the weather forecast. I emailed Kelly as I was leaving for the airport to fly to DC, and within an hour she had moved our 3PM start to 6AM so that I could avoid the rain. All handled before I got on the plane! She never made me feel like I was asking too much. But, of course, none of that would've been possible if my hair and makeup stylist, Sunnie, had not been so flexible. Sunnie showed up with a smile on her face at our hotel at 6AM. We chit chatted the whole way through the appointment, which made me feel so comfortable. I had never had professional hair and makeup done before, and I am someone who doesn't wear makeup on a daily basis. Sunnie totally honored my vision and made me feel GORGEOUS while still feeling myself. I was so pleased with the results, and I enjoyed the experience. Everything about my experience with Georgetown Bride was flawless! Thank you!
Georgetown Bride was wonderful to work with and did a great job on hair and makeup for me (bride) and 4 others. They were timely, super friendly, and responsive to requests for ad...
justments. I would highly recommend Georgetown Bride!
Georgetown Bride did hair and makeup for myself, my three bridesmaids, and my mother on my wedding day. I wanted a soft-glam/romantic look that Audrey and Stephanie were able to ex...
ecute PERFECTLY! I have never felt so beautiful and it was exactly what I wanted for my wedding day.
They also did amazing work on my bridesmaids and mother, working from their inspiration photos and making them look incredible as well. All day they made us feel so comfortable and we had so much fun with them!
I can't recommend their work enough and would highly recommend them to any other bride!
I am SO happy I had Georgetown Bride for my wedding for both hair and makeup. Kelly was AMAZING. My make up was flawless. Even relatives I had that work in makeup said my make up c...
ould not have been any more perfect. All my bridesmaids looked natural but gorgeous, and they all felt like themselves, yet prettier. The staff that came with Kelly was excellent as well, super friendly, and very talented. Any hair style my bridesmaids asked for, they were able to do, and did it very well. Working with Melissa to coordinate everything was seamless and easy! I cannot thank Georgetown bride enough!
Georgetown Bride is a one stop shop for all your wedding beauty needs, and their experience and expertise makes the entire process go smoothly and stress-free. My main priority in ...
picking hair and make up professionals for our wedding was quality of products and the ability to have multiple people help and come to me. Georgetown Bride was an easy choice. I had the privilege of primarily working with Kelly (make up) and Christian (Hair). For my trial, they came to my house and we immediately were chatting and having a great time together. They made me feel comfortable and excited for my wedding- I couldn’t wait to get to hang out with them again! They made it stress free and gave me a natural look that was just dolled up enough for my wedding.
For our wedding, a team of 4 people from Georgetown Bride came to my hotel room, promptly on time and immediately got set up and down to business. They had a streamlined process and knew what they were doing. They had the schedule ready to go and even knew when we were running a little ahead and gave me some more time to hang out rather than just rushing through everyone. They made us all feel comfortable and beautiful. Even the little flower girls had a wonderful time. I am definitely not someone who is accustomed to a lot of make up or anything, and I had no idea what I was really getting myself into, but they made the entire process go smoothly and made sure we were all ready on time and looking our best. They even saved time for any touch ups and did not leave until every single person was 100% happy with their hair and make up.
I know a lot of people will search for individual make up and hair artists and worry that the bigger groups can’t do as good of a job as someone who is solo, but that can’t be further from the truth. Every professional with Georgetown Bride is EXCELLENT- and multitalented! One of the designated make up artists actually took on someone hair at one point and it looked fabulous. We got endless compliments on our hair and make up all night - not a single hair was out of place, and even after my now husband slammed cake into my face at the reception, even my makeup looked totally untouched. I couldn’t have been more impressed with them and their skills. We highly recommend them, especially for big groups!
I absolutely loved working with Melissa and her team from Georgetown Bride! I planned my wedding from a distance and did not have time to schedule a trial before the big day, but I...
could tell that this would be no issue at all with Melissa. She was fantastic about being flexible with creating the final look, and I've never felt more beautiful!
Melissa and her team were so amazing. They were so much fun on my wedding day, and they really helped keep my stress down. They were on time and so professional. I could not imagin...
e having another else doing my hair or makeup. All my bridal party LOVED their makeup and hair. I never wear makeup and was apprehensive on whether I would still look natural, and Melissa perfectly balanced that. I still looked like me at the end of the day but just a glam version. You will not regret booking her and her team! <3
I booked my engagement shoot with Georgetown Bride in January and at the same time asked about my wedding day for the fall 2018. I was told they would get back to me with informati...
on but despite confirmation about my engagement shoot, I was never given information about my wedding day.
At the end of March, I emailed twice to confirm about my wedding day and was just told today that they were completely booked. I wanted this booked in January but now I am left finding another stylist for my wedding and since I am out of town, I cannot have a trial.
Needless to say, I am very frustrated with the lack of communication and disappointed that it turned out this way.
On a positive note, my stylist for my engagement shoot, Kelly, was so nice and did a great job with my hair and makeup
Melissa and her team at Georgetown Bride are absolutely amazing! I originally reached out to Melissa to have her do my hair and makeup for our engagement photos - As soon as she wa...
s finished I knew right away that there was no one else that I would trust to style me on my wedding day. She is professional talented and a ton of fun to work with. I truly cannot say enough amazing things about this her and her company. Book them! You won’t be disappointed =)
Absolutely recommend Melissa and her Georgetown Bride team!!! I was so compelled by her website, portfolio, and social media presence that I booked her before even doing a trial! S...
he made the effort to come to my house TWICE to do two different trials (one with airbrush and one without). I was completely THRILLED with my hair and makeup on the wedding day! I used her services for my entire bridal party plus MOH (she had a great package deal). You will be so impressed by Melissa's professionalism, talent, and wonderful personality. She does AWESOME work. Thank you, Melissa!!!!
Melissa did my wedding hair and makeup, as well as the hair and makeup for my one bridesmaid. After my initial trial, she was very accommodating as I kept going back and forth abou...
t the hairstyle. Ultimately, I ended up with something different from what we had done at the trial and she did an amazing job. Throughout the whole process she was very patient and flexible. She never tried to push anything on me, rather she really wanted to make sure that I was 100 % comfortable and happy with the look. On the day of the wedding, her calm demeanor was a pleasure to have in the room
So amazing!!! I gave her a general description of the style I wanted and she made my hair beautiful! Super easy to work with. I highly recommend Georgetown Bride!
