(1 1/2 hours from Portland). I was certain that I wanted to have a photographer capture the moments of proposal but not knowing anyone in the area, I reached out to multiple photographers who advertised work in the area. My plan was to hire a photographer who would secretly take photos without my fiancés knowing without compromising the surprise. I was extremely thrilled when Georgy told me he liked the idea and would do everything he could to capture our special moment. I have to say there was a huge relief for me when he offered to make his time available for me between several days of our trip, as the date of the proposal was not certain until 2 days prior. I generally had an idea of where I wanted to propose to her in Canon Beach but Georgy even dropped a pin for us to rendezvous at, which I have to say was the most beautiful location to capture the surrounding beauty. With date and time set and never meeting in person, he kept great communication on what each other would be wearing this day. I have to say to me this was a MISSION so I didn’t spoil the surprise and Georgy was dedicated to seeing this mission through! Lol. Well the date of the shooting my family and I were running behind schedule and I didn’t want to pick up the phone to notify Georgy as the first thing my partner would ask me is who I was texting lol, so I didn’t want to risk anything. Once we got to Canon Beach I texted him I was a bit late and he replied that he had ran to make sure he was ready and in position lol. I was extremely nervous and couldn’t think very straight but it was really nice knowing that I had him there, it felt like I had a friend in my corner with their full support and dedication to have the moment go through flawlessly. After the proposal I told my fiancé that I had Georgy there to take photos of the moment and we used the time I scheduled to capture additional photos of our family. I have to say after reviewing the photos of the day, he really has an eye for capturing a beautiful love story. As advice to anyone who is going to be working with him, listen to any ideas he has to share with you. He captured us in beautiful settings and I am extremely glad he provided the direction he did. I’m not very photo friendly, but he found a way to capture us so elegantly. Even though he was near us, it did not feel like he was even there. He has a way of blending into the environment and capturing those real moments while providing input. He was great to work with, extremely friendly, and I did not feel like the photos were forced in any way. Due to the weather and our son not being very comfortable we had to cut the shooting short unfortunately but even with that the photos came out great. My fiancé and I love them, and I am adamant about having him shoot the wedding or any other opportunity we may have to hire a photographer. Georgys work speaks for itself, but the person behind the camera is an absolute pleasure to work with.
