any concerns. The food...AMAZING...you can't beat the food that the members of the Germania make. We had Hungarian Goulash and Chicken, and it was delicious. The one thing I would have changed was allowing guests to get seconds - everyone said how amazing the food was, but it was taken away as soon as all the guest went through the buffet line once. The venue itself was exactly what we were looking for; something a little less stuffy and less formal than most wedding venues. It was a great space, and already had a pre-set dance floor and space for the D.J. We got married outside in the Bier Garden, and it was the perfect space for an outdoor venue. The Germania does provide indoor chairs, linens, and dishes, but you have to rent chairs for anything outside. Overall the price compared to other places in Columbus were unbeatable!

other places we had looked at were stuffy and just not our style. Thea is such a sweet lady and we were there for hours just chatting with her! I worked with Karin throughout the whole planning process and she was wonderful in helping me plan and answering any questions that I had promptly. We had so many compliments on how pretty everything looked and how wonderful the food was! We had the pork loin and chicken supreme and their salad was delicious! The outside garden area was just perfect for the simple outdoor ceremony that I had always dreamed of. We had a few complaints that the bartender was a little rude to some guests at times, however that was the only issue I believe we had. One tip though if you are having your wedding in the summer I would recommend getting dressed elsewhere, because it was very hot upstairs! We made it work though :)I would definitely recommend the Germania Singing and Sport Society for your simple, but unique and gorgeous wedding :)

as a big priority for us, but it wasn't something we wanted to spend an excessive amount of money on. Germania was able to provide us a ceremony and reception site and they were able to cater the event for a very reasonable price and most importantly the food tasted great! They were very accommodating as well. They were able to work with us to make sure our vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free guests were happy. I highly recommend the lasagna and chicken marsala! Their housemade salads are amazing too!

at would be very nice to use but the weather did not cooperate for us. Karin, the event coordinator, was very prompt about getting back to me with any questions I had and helped keep my stress level to a minimum. Everyone there is so sweet and down to earth. The food was great and the chef made something for us even though it wasn't officially on their menu. I would recommend anyone wanting quality and professional people to deal with to have their wedding at the Germania.
