Gertie Mae's Floral Studio

The florals done by Gertie Mae's for my wedding completely stole the show! The best part was that this was BY FAR the easiest vendor for me to work with. I gave the owner, Sherri, my budget, told her the basic colors and style I wanted (mix of pastels with a "fresh from the garden" feel), and that was it!! I gave her total creative freedom, kept her in the loop with my styling (she was great about meeting with the vintage decor stylist I used and was really hands-on with helping us decide vessels and styling for the reception tables), and then sat back to see what she created. On the day of the wedding, as I bustled about setting up all of my many DIY projects, I caught site of the flowers being unloaded and almost started crying. They were so incredibly beautiful, seeing those flowers was literally the only thing that brought tears to my eyes the entire day with the exception of saying my vows. I still can't believe she was able to do as much as she did with my budget. Sherri truely loves what she does and it comes through in the incredible florals that she creates!!

Gertie delivered when it came to flowers!! I created a pinterest board for inspiration and she delivered my dream flowers for the wedding. Also, you get A LOT of bang for your buck!

Gertie Mae's did an amazing job with my bridal bouquet! It was so beautiful and the colors of the flowers made the dress and pictures pop just right.

Sherry is truly amazing at what she does!! We could not have asked for more beautiful flowers!! She got our flowers exactly how we asked. We couldn't have been happier with the results!!

Just wanted to quickly say that Gertie Mae's really impressed us and the entire wedding party with amazing and unique bouquets and arrangements for our special day. I was totally impressed with the results of only two discussions with Sherry. She envisioned our day as we wanted and made it happen! She and her staff are artists. We had a fall wedding (October) and the flowers she recommended were gorgeous and perfect for our event. Not only were the centerpieces, etc. beautiful, they lasted over a week later in the same condition. Gertie Mae's is a very knowledgeable, professional and creative florist that we highly recommend!!

I was able to work with Gertie Mae's at The Not Wedding this past July 2011, and I was blown away by the artistry and taste level of the flowers. Every table was perfectly put together and so uniquely show-stopping. I have seen lots of flowers (also being a wedding vendor) and I can honestly say I was very impressed!

I cannot say enough about Gertie Mae's!!! My flowers were not only what I had invisioned, but more beautiful than anything I could have dreamed of. The service and communication throughout the planning process was great as well. I never had to worry about the flowers during the entire process because they made me feel so comfortable and like I said I was not disappointed at all in the end!!!! I will actually miss chatting with the owner because she is such a sweet and wonderful person!!!

I decided to meet with Sherry, the owner of Gertie Mae's, after seeing what an amazing job she did on the flowers for my friend's wedding. I don't know a lot about flowers, and though I wasn't sure what I wanted the finished product to look like, I had some pretty definitive ideas on what I did and didn't like. Despite my countless contradicting examples I printed offline, Sherry saw what I wanted... somehow she knew what I couldn't define and made it happen. I mean really made it happen, and within my budget. When I arrived for my wedding she was already there, already set up and waiting with a smile. What i saw were the most beautiful flower arrangements I had ever seen in my life. She had managed to pull in all of the elements I had loved, and then some. She went above and beyond, and I could not have been happier. She is a true artist. I would recommend her to any of my friends.
