I found Dawna on The Knot vendor list under make-up artists. I was very impressed with her photos and asked to receive a price list. Her prices were very reasonable and I decided to book her and I am so glad that I did! Dawna does airbrush make-up application, it makes your face look flawless without feeling like you are wearing make-up. After my trial I had two things I wanted to change and the day of my wedding Dawna made the adjustments I asked for. My bridesmaids were able to pay her the day of the wedding and she even took cards right there on site making it easy for everyone. We got ready at a hotel and Dawna brought a make-up chair and a make-up light and I did not need to supply anything she had it all. Dawna was an amazing makeup artist. She completed my makeup as well as my mother, mother-in-law and MOH. My mom and I did a trial with Dawna pre-wedding and she was very helpful and reassuring, answering all of our questions for the wedding day. On the day of, Dawna was incredibly professional and very open to feedback that any of the women had. I LOVED my wedding makeup! Everyone was a big fan of the fake eyelashes. I would definitely recommend her as a great makeup artist!

Working with Dawna was hands-down one of the best parts of my wedding day! Throughout the months leading up to the big day, Dawna went above and beyond my expectations. When I met with her for the makeup trial she walked me through the process, listened to my ideas, and provided a look which was exactly what I was going for. When I followed up with her the next day to tell her that I was hoping for a more natural lip color than the one we had chosen at the trial, she immediately responded with a suggestion of a new color which was exactly what I was looking for! In the days leading up to the wedding, she checked in to ask if there was anything I needed, and it really helped put my mind at ease knowing that she was so on top of things. The morning of the wedding, Dawna showed up bright and early to start the makeup application for all of us. I really appreciated that she made a point to arrive 15 minutes early, just to have piece of mind knowing she wouldn't be late. Dawna did an excellent job talking to each person before applying the makeup to explain the airbrush process and customize their look to their specifications. It is clear that Dawna takes pride in her work, and she made sure that everyone looked their absolute best. When it was time for me to get my makeup done, she did an amazing job and even talked things through with me to help keep the wedding jitters away. We had so much fun laughing and talking together, Dawna really became one of the girls. Dawna did such an amazing job providing natural looking makeup that accentuated everyone's best features! I was getting married in Western Massachusetts and didn’t trust finding an artist in an area I wasn’t familiar with. I found Dawna and had a trial with her at her professional studio in Braintree a couple months before my wedding. She listened to everything I wanted and perfected my “day of” look before I walked out the door so I felt confident and calm the day of my wedding. She was communicative and professional in helping me plan her start time, and she showed up right on the time the day of the wedding. She did makeup for several of my bridesmaids and my mom, all who had different concerns and looks – everyone was very happy with their finished look. Dawna prepared me just had we had planned during my trial, and gave me some makeup to touch up throughout the day. She was a calming influence the day of, and a pleasure to spend the morning with. Dawna is amazing!!! For starters I am VERY picky about my makeup! I had tried a few other makeup artists for friends weddings and I didn't like any! After each one I would go home and fix my makeup. Then I found Dawna! I went and had a trial with her and FINALLY someone that got me! I told her what I like, what I typically wear, and what I thought I wanted and she got it! The entire trial I was so relaxed felt like I was talking to a friend and before I knew it I was done and LOVED my makeup! I booked her on the spot for my wedding and never looked back! I had an amazing experience with Dawna doing my makeup for my wedding this past July! Dawna did my sisters make up three years ago and we loved her and just had to have her for my own wedding! She was easy to get a hold of when I first reached out to set up a trial and was very accommodating to schedule a trial. I got married in Maine which is not close to where Dawna lives and she traveled and was at my house at 6:00am with a smile on her face and ready to work! What I loved most about Dawna is she really listened to me and what I wanted as well as listened to what each of my bridesmaids wanted. My husband usually likes when I don't wear makeup and when we first got engaged he actually said, "can you get the lady that did your sisters make up to do yours? It was so natural." I have recommended Dawna to all my friends who are getting married. She is definitely worth it and you can completely trust that she will make you beautiful on your special day.

Dawna was fabulous! From initial contact to the wedding, she was super communicative with me and listened to my input and what I wanted. She was able to offer suggestions from her professional experience as well to help me look my best on my big day. She was friendly, funny, and fit right in with my bridal party while we were getting ready. Dawna provided makeup services for myself and 7 of my bridesmaids for my wedding day (December 2016). After I initially had a trial with her, I knew she would be perfect. She is a perfectionist and it shows in her work!! I loved everything about my makeup on my wedding day and my bridesmaids got so many compliments as well. Although we had a super early start, due to an earlier ceremony time, Dawna made the morning stress free and seamless. There were some communication issues that were solved rather quickly. I was fortunate enough to meet Dawna as the MUA for one of my close friend's wedding. At that time I was going through some low self esteem/confidence issues due to a case of adult hormonal acne flaring up and I had a lot of blemishes I was sure would be noticeable. Let me tell you, when I looked in the mirror after I was done it took everything in me not to cry. Not only did my skin look clear as if there weren't a single blemish, but I felt gorgeous. I almost didn't recognize myself. Their features were naturally & realistically accented and they didn't look fake or hidden under caked on makeup that I've happen to come across with other wedding MUAs in the past. Dawna is an extraordinary person. She kept me from despairing multiple times through the whole wedding process and was wonderfully kind and professional through the whole thing. When I first went into my trial with her, she should have told me to walk right back out--I was in a terribly discouraged mood from having my last TWO MUAs tentatively agree and then cancel on me. Dawna was a rare find of my sister's, who booked the appointment. Dawna was kind and tenacious though; she worked with me regardless to get my perfect wedding look and left me smiling and more positive about everything left to finish! On the big day, she came in early and started on everyone's makeup immediately. She'd actually finished my makeup before I'd gotten my hair done, during which there was an accident. My forehead got burned by the curler, and Dawna was amazing in ushering me off to the side, keeping me calm, and fixing it so no one would be able to see--and in pictures, you really can't! It was a bad enough burn that it did darken and peel, but she was perfect in making sure I didn't have a reminder in my photos of it. Dawna is wonderfully compassionate and friendly, while also being quite professional. She's very quick to understand just what type of look you want as well. You can't go wrong with her; you won't regret booking her!

Dawna was NOT your average wedding vendor. She really took an interest in me and my special day. During the planning process, she often gave me wedding advice that was entirely separate from anything makeup-related. She was patient and helpful through multiple pre-wedding panic sessions, and even went above and beyond to help me when I lost my engagement ring the month before my wedding. Your makeup artist is with you and your girls for many hours during your wedding day, so it's important that you choose someone that is pleasant and fun to be around. Dawna is DEFINITELY that person. Choosing Dawna to complete wedding day make-up for myself and my bridal party was one of the easiest decisions I made for our wedding! Back in 2013 I met her at my matron of honors wedding ...I told her I wanted a natural look and she completely delivered and I had never at that point had so many compliments on my makeup. 3 years later, as the bride, she gave me the same natural look I requested (with that pop that a bride needs to stand out). I was literally having nightmares in the months prior to my wedding about not having a makeup artist for the day of my wedding. I was beyond comforted when I finally booked Dawna for the big day. She listened to my requests to keep my makeup light and simple, to cover blemishes that had popped up on my shoulders, and when I looked in the mirror when my look was finished I cried! I have had Dawna do my makeup twice now, and she is the real deal. On my wedding day my makeup (despite my weird stressed, dry and broken out skin) looked flawless! Dawna is AMAZING! She did my and my 6 bridesmaids makeup and we looked fantastic! She's so sweet and she really listens. I wanted a soft, natural look, and that is exactly what she gave me. I used Dawna for my engagement photo shoot. It was the first time I had professional airbrushing makeup done and was nervous that the foundation would not look natural or react to my sensitive skin. Dawna did an amazing job, listened to my concerns and did the exact look I was trying to create. I received many compliments and the makeup was perfect. I kept it on to wear to a function that night and it lasted until I removed it before bedtime. She uses high quality products and my skin was fine. I would have used her for my wedding as well if she wasn't already booked. I would 100% recommend her for bridal services.

Dawna is amazing!! She took all of our looks from a picture on our iPhone and brought them to life even better than we could have ever imagined. She stayed until right before we all left for the wedding just in case we wanted any last minute touch ups! We all looked more beautiful than we ever imagined. And the airbrushing was fantastic. My make up stayed perfect all night long, even through a hot and packed dance floor all night long! Definitely cannot recommend Dawna enough and her prices were extremely reasonable too!
