Get Up and Dance

ut having all eyes on him, and Leah made him feel comfortable and confident in his ability to do a great job. Leah worked with our comfort level and taught us beginner-friendly moves that still look impressive. We got so many compliments afterwards from our wedding guests. I couldn't recommend Leah more!

er dancers than we are!

ly and helpful. In just two classes she taught us the dance, gave us confidence, perfected it after our at-home practices, and made it so much fun! She even took the time and care to make sure to tell us how to pause for great photo moments, what to do in case we messed up, and exactly what time stamps to tell the DJ. We absolutely adored Leah and are already looking for excuses to go see her again!

special day! I would recommend her to any couple who wants to make the day extra memorable with a special dance!

feeling so confident going into our big day!!

felt natural, as well as she gives really reassuring advice. I would highly reccomend leah!

good dancer. My fears melted away immediately as soon as we met Leah. She took the time to get to know us both and made us feel at ease the entire time. She choreographed our full dance for us and made sure we liked it and felt comfortable with each move. We had so much fun each lesson and couldn’t wait for the next. We were able to hit the dance floor with confidence on our wedding day and completely wow the crowd with our dance! We look forward to returning for additional lessons. Can not recommend this place and Leah enough!

ping you up and helping you feel comfortable with the dance. Absolutely recommend her to anyone getting married and looking for dance classes in the Atlanta area and we'll definitely be back for open classes with her!

for 3 lessons in a very short window before our wedding. Having zero dance experience (my now husband a little rhythm), she was able to give us some great moves that fit our first dance perfectly (and we were able to learn and achieve quickly!) she made our first dance so stressfree and fun!! would recommend to anyone :)

pful tips, and was always thinking about how to make it perfect for what we wanted. It was exactly the experience we were looking for when we booked. We highly recommend her for any type of dance class!

ld do for our special first dance! Leah was incredible at understanding our skill level and crafting a sequence that we could not only perform, but also remember! The dance was absolutely perfect. Leah could not have been a friendlier, less judgmental dance instructor. We thoroughly enjoyed our time learning from her! Thank you, Leah!!

we didn't trip over ourselves come wedding day. Leah was able to show us a couple basic steps/turns while making the class easy enough to understand and SO fun. My parents even went back by themselves for an additional class because they loved it so much. My now husband and I went back for a couple classes as well once we decided on our first dance song. To top it off, my husband is blind and Leah was amazing; she was able to guide him through everything so we both felt confident on our wedding day. I 1000% recommend!!

dding day and she made it effortless and easy. It was amazing to see our guests faces as we twirled and dipped to our wedding song. Taking theses lessons was so much fun for us a couple and it made our day even more magical .

ance that was simple yet romantic. Neither me nor my husband have experience dancing but we were able to learn, memorize, and refine our dance in just 5 lessons with her. Leah made us feel comfortable during the experience and gave us a lot of helpful pointers to refine our movements. I’d highly recommend taking lessons from Leah.

ht :) We feel super prepared and excited to show off our new moves for the big day! We highly recommend Leah to anyone looking to have some fun, we were beginners and she made us feel at ease + prepared. Thanks Leah!!!

ces and experts. We're excited to show off our new moves at our wedding!

otwork, and put together a PERFECT first dance for us. Not only was it fun and beautiful, but it was totally doable for us to learn less than three weeks before the wedding. We purchased three sessions, and assumed we would need to add additional sessions, but Leah was able to teach us the full dance in that time frame. We left each session impressed with what we had been able to learn, and most importantly, really happy and excited to practice our dance together at home. Leah, thanks for making what started as another wedding chore into a really fun, memorable experience for us!

me dance moves in there to make it special. We didn't want anything choreographed down to the second o she helped create a custom dance routine that we got to provide input for. It was absolutely beautiful! Everyone loved the dance and you can hear in the video when they are surprised where we started doing some fun moves. Leah was fun and so easy to work with when it came to creating the dance, scheduling our lessons and helping us make our dance exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend Get Up and Dance for not only wedding dance lessons but any kind of dance you are interested in!

design a dance that met our needs yet that still wowed our guests was incredible. Plus, she was very prepared for each lesson & encouraging! We would highly recommend Get Up and Dance to anyone looking for a place to learn a few moves before a first dance for their wedding!

ft so much! Leah was so fun to work with and made us feel very comfortable the whole time. She worked with us to develop a dance for our song that was fun and very "us", being sure to always ask us what we thought about the moves she put together. We were very glad that we went with 5 lessons, as it gave us enough time to feel very comfortable in preparation for the big day. Neither myself or my fiancee are great dancers, but we felt so confident after our lessons! Our guests loved our dance at our wedding. It is a memory we will share forever. We are so glad we worked with Leah!

we never really knew what we were doing so we wanted to make sure we looked good on our wedding day. And Leah delivered!! All of our lessons were so much fun and we felt so happy and confident on our wedding day!

as the perfect fit! She was patient, taught us slowly, and showed us the most fitting and romantic dance steps for our first dance. I'm beyond thankful for her! Thank you Leah!

w to do it. I danced when I was in school but, my husband has two left feet. We knew we had to find the best dance instructor and, we found her. Leah is a busy woman but managed to schedule with us through her 3 session package. In the first lesson, she helped us find our song and explain how the wedding dance would go, enormously helpful and choreographing my husband felt comfortable with. In the second lesson, we drilled the first part of the dance and, mapped the second part with a must-have Dirty Dancing Dip and kiss. The third lesson we, unfortunately, had to miss it because we scheduled it for the morning after our bachelor/bachelorette party, totally our bad, but my mother-in-law and husband were able to have a lesson right before the wedding weekend. They were able to choreograph a lovely dance while not taking anything from our first dance and drilling the steps. I truly feel like there is nothing Leah can't do. On our big day, we arrived at our first dance, and my husband and I completely forget everything past the first verse however, we didn't panic! Leah had taught us to improve in the event of a mistake and was able to end on the DD dip and kiss for the perfect wedding photos! As for the mother-son dance, I was breathless and balling. Magic happened when my husband confidently twirled his lovely mother across our dance floor. Truly magical.

ped us feel confident and ready to literally take the next step on the dancing floor.

was an absolute blast each time we went for lessons and the first dance turned out amazing. Can't recommend her enough!!

so glad to have stumbled upon this gem! We will definitely be continuing our dance journey with the GUAD! Thank you Leah!!

. It is one of the highlights of our wedding!

ome great ideas that are fun and totally doable. Leah is super positive and energetic and totally put us at ease. My daughter and I had a blast, it's definitely something that we'll remember as part of the wedding experience!

also had lessons for my father daughter dance and she did fantastic with that as well. We were pretty specific in what we wanted and she executed it so well! I definitely would use her if you’re thinking of having a fun first dance!

nvolved two different styles of dance, and she knocked it out of the park! Not only did she make the lessons stress-free and FUN, but she was a wonderful teacher and knew how to work with us so well. Our dance was one of the most memorable moments of our wedding, and we received countless compliments on the dance! If you are considering hiring Leah, DO IT!!! You will not regret it. She is the BEST!

it, making modifications along the way (as our abilities are limited). She was just a pleasure to work with - highly recommend!!

wonderful at helping us pick our first dance and teaching us some basic moves to use without over complicating anything! I’m so happy we chose her and would recommend her to anyone.

nt and made us feel really comfortable putting together our "first dance" for our wedding. We can't wait to perform for our family and friends!

ore starting our lessons were immediately squashed after meeting her. She puts you at ease and is a supportive, encouraging and incredibly talented teacher. She listened to our needs and personalized a dance that we couldn’t be happier with. We feel so grateful to have found her and highly recommend her for all your choreography/dancing needs.

we wanted to call! Leah's vision for our wedding dance was everything we wanted - a challenge, as well as an elegant performance as our first dance as husband and wife! We can't recommend her enough!

if you take some lessons with Leah, you will be SO glad you did! She is such a warm and lovely person, and has such a gift for both dancing and teaching people to dance. She's amazingly flexible and a great listener in terms of what you want. We picked an upbeat / unusual song AND decided to do it to a live band (normally not recommended), and she was happy to work with us and give us the perfect combination of moves. We did 4 lessons and loved every one - she makes the most of the time and makes sure that you are comfortable and confident. We'll be using these moves for the rest of our lives and it was great to feel like we were on the same page before dancing in front of all our friends and family. We got a ton of compliments on the dance as well! She was easy to schedule with, accommodating, and just a joy to be around. We're sadly moving away from Atlanta, but otherwise we would have loved to continue lessons, and also wanted to just hang out regularly with Leah. Don't think about it any longer - reach out and get dancing.
