I booked get your groove on for me wedding and let me say they did not dissapoint! Harry and his team are so great to work with and truly executed exactly what I envisioned!! My dance floor was packed the entire night and I still have guests raving about how great the music was!!

Harry and his team were incredible! The dance floor was packed the whole night and everyone said how great the music was! They played all our requested songs and only took guest requests if they were approved ahead of time by the bride/groom. The music was a good volume and the team was fun while also being very professional. Highly recommend!

Harry from Get Your Groove On was an absolute pleasure to work with. Prior to the wedding he made sure he was prepared and did everything to meet our needs. The day of the wedding he arrived early, took note of all our requests, and made sure to check in with us throughout the entire evening. His energy was contagious, and the music he played got everyone up and on the dance floor!! It was everything we hoped for. He truly made our wedding night one to remember!

Harry was truly amazing from the moment we met him before our Wedding ceremony. He went over how the day would go from the ceremony to the end of the reception and helped us with any questions we had. Our guests loved the music and they all had a great time. We used them for my daughters sweet 16 party and they were great. From the DJ to the MC to the photo booth and the photographer. All phenomenal and a pleasure to work with.

Get Your Groove On was recommended to us by a family member and we met with Harry the owner and immediately clicked with him. He was so easy to work with and we honestly just loved his enthusiasm and personality. The entire booking process was a piece of cake. We did DJ, MC, Zap Photographer, the photo montage and the entire planning and getting everything together was seamless. I got married at Saint Clements Castle, and Harry and team were More than willing to travel from Long Island to CT on a holiday weekend which was such a relief off the bat. I have to give them so much credit I got married outside in the pouring rain and literally they just made it work, they set up with I’m umbrellas and just made it happen. I still had the ceremony music and they didn’t complain at all just did it! Now for the wedding reception, this did not disappoint. Literally everyone was dancing the entire time, we’ve gotten so many compliments on the DJ and the music. The party just kept going. I have some tough family member to please but everyone from 21 to 84 was up and dancing. They kept everything going. My father and I did a softball catch halfway through our first dance and they just made the transition so fun and for everyone really involved. I will honestly recommend them to everyone from this day forward. You literally don’t need to look anywhere else, this is the team You want!

Harry!!!! Harry is the man. After seeing him DJ at my brothers wedding we knew we wanted to book his services for our own. Being type AAA with my wedding, I was relieved that Harry used my playlists and ideas with no questions asked. He wasn't intrusive during the reception like some DJs can be, but still took the time to check in with us to make sure we were happy. We also used his contact for the photo booth, which was a big hit and affordable for our budget. Harry is a fun loving Long Island guy and we couldn't recommend him more!

There really isn't much to say other than that this guy was fantastic. We went to the website, basically liked all of the music he had playing on their website, and his music at the wedding was just as great. We love 80s music as well as current music, and he played it all. People at the wedding all said they had never been to a wedding that had so much dancing and they had never had so much fun at a wedding. Really, this guy was communicative, able to deal with last minute changes, and was generally a nice guy. Definitely would recommend to anyone else.

Harry is amazing! He played music we asked for, got my guests up and dancing! The giveaways Harry had was great and my guests loved them! He found all the music we wanted for our ceremony and played it perfectly! He did such an amazing job announcing our wedding party and parents and helped make our day special! He is awesome at responding to emails and phone calls and gives you 100% of his attention to you and your needs, wants and even if you don't want something played he will make sure it doesn't happen. We just wanted to take the time to thank you for the outstanding job you did at our wedding. From your professionalism, thoroughness, and attention to every detail it all came together perfectly for the people on the dance floor. It was so easy to see that night that we made the right choice by having you as our DJ at our reception. You played all the songs we wanted and you made sure you did it in the way that we asked. We also loved your suggestion of using props and have great pictures of our guests wearing them as they danced the night away. We both could see your love for your job and the respect you have for your clientele. We definitely will be suggesting you to friends although we're sure they have beaten us to it. Harry was way more than we ever expected. He has the persona, professionalism and warmth that every bride dreams of. Our crowd was not a dancing, excitable crowd. However, Harry had the whole room on their feet, dancing, singing and having a ball. People are still calling us asking about him and raving all about our DJ. Where do I begin...Get Your Groove On was absolutely incredible. As a bride on a budget, Harry worked with me and offered me an exceptional package at an unbelievable price. Harry kept in touch with me via email and phone with any questions I had. He even called me several times just to check in. A few weeks before the wedding Harry came to my home with his computer to discuss our music selections and show us his music library. We were extremely impressed by this! We had expressed that we wanted to have a slideshow, and we were going to bring our tv to make it happen. Harry would not have that! He did not want us to have to do anything on our special day...so he made a few phone calls and within minutes Harry had a huge tv/dvd for us to use for our slideshow. At the wedding, Harry and his assosciate were perfect. Our wedding was outdoors on the hottest day of the year. Things were going wrong one after the next. I can honestly say Harry/Get Your Groove On was what turned the party around and made everyone forget the heat and just have a great time. People actually said "the sweat was running down my whole body, but the music was so good we had to get up and dance". And to comment on another review (as requested by me) Harry did not play any guest requests without my approval...and I was thrilled about that!!! Get Your Groove On DJ made my party perfect and my guests all felt the same way too! I highly recommend them to anyone getting married for a perfect wedding!

First off I would just like to say that Harry and the gang made sure that the music on our wedding day was great! He personally sat down with us to show us differnet packages and then a few weeks before the wedding he went above and beyond by visiting our home to create a song list with us for our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and other songs (cake, garter, bouquet toss). Throughout the night Harry checked in with us to see if we wanted or needed anything and if we were happy. All of my guests were raving about him! Its safe to say that our families were pleased with the DJ! Harry even had my dad up on the dance floor and my dad hatessss to dance!!!! WOOT! I went to my best friends wedding a couple of months ago and I have to say out of all the weddings I've been to this was the greatest. Harry the DJ was the best, he played all my friends music from start to finish. The place was rocking and he got everyone up and dancing, even showing us how some of the moves went to them. Was the most FUN ever. I know when I choose a DJ it will be him. Kara

I had heard this DJ at a few other parties and liked his work. He's also an acquaintance of a very good friend of mine who hears him regularly and highly reccomends him. What sealed the deal was that he has been in the business for 2 decades, worked weddings, and promised us the style (minimal dj), music and props we wanted (fake roses, glow necklaces and streamers) for at least a few hundred dollars less than any other pro DJ we saw. Before I get into my gripes, I must say that the style & props were exactly what we asked for, the volume level was just right, and he played the vast majority of the songs on our wedding playlist. He was for the most part courteous, friendly, and professional, as was his co-worker. He did both our ceremony and reception music; the ceremony was flawless. However, and this truly pains me to say, I can't in good conscience give a wholehearted, "two-thumbs-way-up!" endorsement of this DJ because: 1) He had to be told at least three times during the night that guest song requests had to go through me first. Once is forgivable, twice we can let slide, but more than that appears to be willful "forgetting" of our wishes. We picked each of those songs for a reason and wanted to make sure this music, that we still paid good money to hear even with a discount, was not crowded out by the same songs you hear everywhere, at every wedding. We did, and do not, feel this was unreasonable (and, in previous meetings, neither did the dj find anything wrong with this), and I did "ok" a few songs that guests requested. 2) By far the biggest screw up that night - playing the father daughter song early into dinner, without letting me know or asking me beforehand. When I went to him and asked why, he said it was because a guest requested it and insisted it be played at that moment, even though he told this guest that was the song I wanted to dance with my father to. Regardless of whether or not this is true, I feel this type of mistake is absolutely unacceptable for any DJ, especially one in business for so long-- to so blatantly ignore a bride's wishes on such a special moment. His reasoning when my husband brought it up after he cut the song short (i was too angry and have a hard time talking calmly when I'm fuming) was "I'm sorry, I was only trying to make your guests happy." Well, I'm sorry, but I can't for the life of me understand how ignoring a client's *clearly expressed* wishes (the song was written down as the father-daughter dance on the important song list sheet, i.e. - our choices for processional and recessional music, parent songs, etc.) to satisfy one jerk counts as a virtuous effort to make guests happy. I understand and appreciate that DJs have to read the crowd and so forth, but this was ridiculous. Thankfully, seemingly noone noticed the song played twice, but it shouldn't have happened. To be brutally honest, had we known that we would go through all this we would have spent the extra 200 - 500$ to guarantee a DJ that respected our wishes fully. There were a couple of other gaffes, but they were relatively minor and didn't really impact the wedding or our experience negatively. Everyone makes mistakes, and I try my best to be understanding and forgiving. It's just that some mistakes are not understandable or easily forgivable. I thanked him for his time at night's end, but, sadly, that may be the last time I hire him.
