nator, Jim, told us he would get us a quote within 5 days and then we could place a deposit to hold a date. Two weeks later we still hadn't received a quote. I followed up with Jim via email and was told it was just a busy wedding season and that was next on his list. A few weeks later we received a email asking if we would like to reserve a date because they were getting interest from other couple. I emailed back that we would and told him the day we would like to reserve. That was the last I have heard from him. I emailed him several times and have left multiple messages on his voice-mail. At this point, we've moved on to another venue that has been very responsive and helpful. I wouldn't recommend giants ridge to anyone for their wedding day, the complete lack of communication isn't worth the stress.

eeded for an indoor site. We were able to pick the spot of the outdoor ceremony with few restrictions. The only criticism I would give is to make sure to go over everything with them one more time to finalize. They had information down for us that we did not choose, and also did not tell us up front we needed to rent chairs from an outside party in order to have the ceremony outside. We also had to tear down any decorations we put up between 9 and 11 the morning after the wedding. They were very strict on party favors and would not allow us to bring in outside food such as apples for the table (we had a fall wedding). For one of our favors we had hot apple cider packets and they wanted to charge us $15 per pitcher for hot water! We would have needed at least 27 pitchers for everyone, so that would have been $405 for hot water! That still baffles me. They also charged us to have a security guard, said they would provide one, and there was not one there at all during the night. I guess in summary, we loved the venue location and working with Sara, but they were very strict about what we could or could not have.
