Gigi was great to work with. I reached out a few months prior to our wedding because I knew I wanted to walk down the aisle to a specific, non-traditional song, which she absolutely nailed. Gigi was very responsive to all my questions, was kind and very professional. She even asked me what I wanted her to wear for our ceremony during our rehearsal, so respectful and thoughtful! I have already recommended Gigi to personal friends and would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking a pianist for a wedding event.

Gigi played the music at our ceremony and our rehearsal dinner as well. It was everything I have ever wanted for my wedding and more. She is the most versatile piano player, elegant and fun! Our guests absolutely loved her. Not only is she prompt in response and professional, she is such a genuine, warm, and kind person. It felt like working with a close friend rather than just communicating with a vendor. Her music was beautiful and made our special day musically memorable. Gigi was absolutely wonderful! My husband and I had a lot of anxiety about hiring a pianist. We had already hired a student from the WashU music department, but he canceled on us last minute, and we found ourselves scrambling to find a pianist one month before the wedding. We were so fortunate to have been able to book Gigi. Both my husband and I have played piano for about 10 years (in addition, my husband composes piano), so we both had fairly high expectations. Also, most of our wedding guests grew up playing piano as well, so overall, we really wanted someone good. We had a list of 8 songs already picked out and we were worried that one month would not be enough time to master these songs. Gigi ended up playing wonderfully and blew ourselves and all of our weddings guests away. We loved the fact that she played with a lot of emotion and also just the right pace. She was also wonderfully responsive during the whole planning process, and this definitively decreased our anxiety (especially after our last musician suddenly quit). We are so glad that we hired Gigi and would definitely recommend her to anyone!

I recently got married in July and had so many problems with the church organist and finding a pianist, but I found Gigi Darr and I was so lucky that I did! She was so wonderful to work with and really cared about everything that I wanted throughout the ceremony and even got in touch with my singer to set up a rehearsal. I didn't even get a chance to meet with her before the wedding because my schedule was so crazy, so I met her the day of. She was extremely professional and played the music beautifully. She was able to do everything I wanted and the music was extremely beautiful. She did a wonderful job and I would recommend her to anyone who is getting married soon.

Gigi Darr is an absolutely top notch performer, and just lovely to work with. She cares about what you want and will tailor the wedding music to you and your partner's wishes. We didn't want traditional wedding music, and found a piece online. She ordered the music and played it perfectly at our ceremony. It was a longer piece, which needed to end sooner than the sheet music ended, and she made it blend perfectly with the timing of our processional.
