Gilded Vocals brings live wedding singers and musicians to ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, and rehearsal dinners across Salt Lake City, Park City, and the Wasatch Front. We're based in Utah and happy to travel wherever your wedding is.
I'm Jacob Kenison, an award-winning lyric tenor and the founder of Gilded Vocals. We build every performance around your day: the processional as guests find their seats, a first dance song learned just for you, and a cocktail hour with the warmth of a jazz club instead of a playlist.
WHAT YOU'LL HEAR
Jazz standards, French classics, R&B, today's pop, wedding ballads, and classical, sacred, or traditional pieces. Have a song or a family tradition in mind? Tell us, and we'll build it in.
CHOOSE YOUR SOUND
Book a soloist, a duo, or a vocal ensemble, or add a live concert pianist for a fully live ceremony and cocktail hour. Guitar and other instruments are available on request.
WHERE TO START
- Want one song for one moment, like the processional or first dance? Start with The Moment.
- Want music for the whole ceremony? The Ceremony covers prelude through recessional.
- Want cocktail hour covered too? Ceremony and Cocktail Hour is our most popular package.
- Want live music from prelude through dinner? Choose The Full Celebration.
- Want a pianist alongside the vocals? Choose Live Piano and Vocal.
QUESTIONS COUPLES ASK US
Q: Is it all classical, or can you sing pop and jazz?
A: All of it. My classical training is the foundation, and the song list is yours.
Q: Do you bring your own sound system?
A: Yes. Professional PA and microphones are included, and we're liability insured.
Q: How do we choose songs and plan the timeline?
A: You'll get an online portal for song requests and timing, plus a conversation about your venue and the moments you most want carried by live music.
Q: Can you perform outdoors or at a mountain venue?
A: Yes. A solo vocalist with our sound system works well where a piano isn't practical.
Q: Can you learn our song?
A: Yes. Our ceremony packages include one song learned for you, and custom song learning is available as an add-on with The Moment.
Q: Do you speak Spanish?
A: Yes, we speak English and Spanish.
ABOUT ME
I've performed with Utah Opera and Park City Opera and at Culinary Crafts' Toasts & Tidings at Kimball Terrace. I've sung principal roles including Tamino in The Magic Flute and Fenton in Falstaff with other companies, and I've placed at the national level in the NATS and MTNA competitions. For your wedding, that means professional performers who can read a room and adapt in real time.
WHEN I'M NOT MAKING YOUR DAY SPECIAL
I'm usually outside with my very adorable Vizsla, Nutmeg. We run, hike, and compete in agility trials together.
Tell us your date, your venue, and the moments you want carried by live music, and we'll suggest a song plan for each part of your day.
