Absolutely fantastic reception! I’m so glad Wendie was there to help navigate my reception, finalize details, and be overall great support! We got married during the blizzard, and ...
wendie kept rolling with the punches. She got the place plowed, made sure all vendors were there, and assisted in everything. The place was beautiful, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice!
My fiance and I got married at a venue nearby and were struggling to find an affordable reception venue in the area. We found the Gillespie center via google and decided to check i...
t out. The venue is pretty nice (nice woodsy feel), especially for the price. At the end of the day, due to price, we went with the Gillespie Center. Overall, we did not have a very good experience... I don't think they hold weddings there very often, as it is really a senior community center. The woman who runs the venue was EXTREMELY OPINIONATED and not very accommodating with us. She would try to tell me that I couldn't have certain colors or things because they didn't go with my "theme." She also tried to go back on things that we had already signed for in our contract. Planning a wedding is already a very stressful task and she made it MUCH more difficult. Decent looking venue, but totally not worth the hell we went through in planning our reception with their coordinator.
