This venue has so many things going for it! There is a breathtaking view of the valley, an indoor reception area (ballroom), catering that is delicious for a very reasonable price,...
a bar (or a choice not to have one, which is what I did), linens/tables/cutlery/dinnerware, and an amazing coordinator.
I was actually going to get married at Vasona Lake Park in Los Gatos originally because it was so inexpensive to hold the date for the wedding. However, after all of the things we were going to rent plus catering and delivery charges for catering, it was going to cost more than the Lodge on the Hill AND would have been a lot more stressful (at least for my honey and I).
On the day of, the coordinator kept things humming along smoothly and the whole wedding looked so beautiful and cohesive. Other than the stress of mingling with my huge guest list, the whole day was amazing and wonderful!
I definitely recommend this venue. I was on a really tight budget and was able to pull this one off. It was about 7000, but I actually had a relatively large guest-list (about 130). Compared to the venues around Hollister, which is where I live, the pricing at the Lodge was very reasonable and so worth it.

ld all the people at tables surrounding the dance floor with room for the dj and a separate room with the bar/lounge, nice large bathrooms and a sitting reception area as well, and a large foyer sitting area and a separate room for the gifts which was locked at all times;we paid for the food, but were not able to take it with us afterwards, and after they cut the cake and served it, they took it back to the kitchen area and personnel consumed it, instead of leaving it for us to take home. I didn't even get a piece of my cake, except for the tiny bite i had for the picture of us feeding each other, i thought the cake had been eaten by guests and found out a year later that the staff had eaten it in the kitchen. I thought that was very tacky.
