I am very Type A and worried I would miss an important detail but it is almost impossible to forget or miss anything important with GME. They send out monthly reminders with things that need to be completed and deadlines. Another thing I loved about working with GME is that I could always set up a call or meeting to discuss anything - brides, this is very important because other planners I spoke to had a very defined and limited amount of meetings/calls they would allow as part of their services. I cannot imagine having only 2-3 meetings with an event planner when there is SO much to discuss! Wedding planning became more challenging when my work life became a lot busier, especially the weeks leading up to the wedding. I was worried I would not be able to reach out to Gina as much or keep up with emails. But Gina went out of her way to make sure we could continue communicating whenever it worked best for me, even if sometimes she had to be flexible with her own schedule, which I very much appreciated! Leading up to the wedding, Gina handled all communication with vendors. This might seem like a small detail but it was HUGE because it is not easy to keep up with emails with 10+vendors at once, especially towards the last few weeks. Gina coordinated everything and if there is anything that went wrong during the wedding day, I did not even find out because in my experience on my wedding day, everything went SO smooth! But I TRULY realized how much EVERYONE needs a wedding planner/coordinator once the big day arrived. It is physically impossible to be a bride and try to be everywhere all at once. The day of the wedding I did not have to lift a finger. Gina took care of EVERYTHING (coordinating, setting up the things I had DIY’d on my own, making sure every other vendor was doing their job, etc). The best part is that at the end of the night, GME also took care of packing up everything that was mine including everything I had DIY’d, which I was not expecting (this is a service that some planners don’t have or that they charge extra for)! I had the luxury of enjoying my wedding day and at the end of the night, I was able to attend my after party without having to worry about picking anything up because GME did it all! Additionally, Gina has a great eye and I had VERY big dreams. I wanted a fairytale wedding. Gina was always very supportive of my ideas and tried to work with me as best as she could while still advising me on budget and giving me recommendations based off her prior experiences. Needless to stay, I got a fairytale wedding and I am still in awe of how beautiful everything came together. I was very nervous about certain aspects of the decor, especially about having a reception with a tent (I was afraid it would look tacky) but I ended up trusting Gina and it honestly turned out to be the most beautiful wedding and even more gorgeous tent reception I have ever seen. It looked like it came straight out of a Pinterest board and it would not have been possible without Gina’s support. I was not an easy bride to work with and I am so thankful for her patience with me throughout this process! I highly recommend Gina and the GME team for all wedding planning events!
