About this vendor
Ginella the MUA offers wedding makeup services in Miami, FL. My name is Ginella Mir but I am known as Ginella The MUA. I love seeing the transformation that occurs for my clients as I get them ready for their special day. I'm a certified makeup artist that takes great pride in my craft for every type of event, may it be for weddings, birthdays, or special events. I started my makeup artist career many years ago at a retail store called Ulta as a beauty advisor learning about many different products and services. My love for makeup work continued to grow even more after I left Ulta. My next opportunity in this industry was to work as a beauty consultant for Sephora.
I learned how to adapt and love makeup artist work even more with the culture Sephora embraces. As I continued to grow and learn more about the makeup artist industry over the years, I decided to go on my own and become a certified freelance makeup artist with institutional school, Artist Makeup Academy. I have now been in the industry for about 7 years. I love glamming on wedding day because it is such a special moment not only for the bride but also for everyone involved on the wedding day. Being able to see the reaction after makeup is finished is priceless and such a memorable moment on the day of the wedding.

This is not an isolated incident — we’ve since learned that this has happened to multiple brides. Legal action is currently being pursued, but I felt it was important to speak out to help protect others from being taken advantage of during what should be one of the most exciting times in their lives.
Do not trust this vendor with your wedding day or your money.
Do yourself a favor and avoid engaging with this vendor. She collected a large deposit and then ghosted and blocked the bride. She refuses to return the deposit although she failed...
to perform her end of the contract. Legal action is being taken and we want to ensure no other brides face this hardship done by Ginella and her mother.
Con artist, professional scammer, family affair specializing in ripping people off.
I booked Ginella The MUA in April and paid an $875 deposit. When I later reached out to schedule a makeup trial, I discovered I had been blocked. Her phone number was disconnected,...
and she began using different Instagram accounts. I attempted to contact her multiple times with no response.
After speaking with other local artists, I learned this is unfortunately a pattern of behavior — Ginella has a reputation for ghosting clients and canceling last minute. When my fiancé was able to message her on Instagram, she told him to stop “harassing” her and claimed the deposit was non-refundable — despite having never provided any service or communication.
To this day, I have not received a refund or a single message from her directly. Her mother, who is listed as her financial assistant and received the payment via Zelle, has also refused to return the money.
I have filed complaints with the FTC and Florida Attorney General. I strongly recommend avoiding this vendor. I don’t want any other bride to go through this experience.

kings and confirm everything—but once the payment is made, she ghosts. No follow-up, no service, no refund. This seems to be a recurring pattern, not just a one-time issue. Do yourself a favor and steer clear.
Warning: Do NOT book Ginella.

nally spoke with her, she tried to cover up her absence by falsely claiming that the artist I hired on my own was part of her team—which was absolutely untrue. Despite not providing any services, she refused to refund my payment. The entire situation was incredibly stressful and unprofessional, and her lack of accountability made it even worse. The irony is that she often says “Jesus blesses her hands,” yet her actions were anything but honest or respectful. Save yourself the stress—I would absolutely never hire her again.
Will cancel on you and will not return refund although her contract states that refund will be returned if she cancels. RUN! You don’t want that stress on the most important day o...

I was extremely disappointed with Ginella The MUA's service for my wedding. Her communication style was unreliable, as she often cancelled appointments with excuses like being sick...
or having other plans. In fact, she cancelled on me 7 days before my wedding, leaving me no time to find another makeup artist. Even though she refunded me, I cannot recommend her services, as her last-minute cancellation caused a lot of unnecessary stress during an already hectic time. I never even got a chance to experience the quality of her work or see if she provided good value, since she never showed up. I would advise other couples to look elsewhere for their wedding beauty needs.
She is the best! She has been doing my makeup for years for all my big events! From my wedding to my baby shower 🥰It looks flawless every time ❤️
Love G! Best MUA in town. Attentive, professional, flawless makeup that last for hours!
