Ginny was a dream to work with. From booking the venue to the wedding day everything was seamless and stress-free. The food was phenomenal and Ginny made sure my husband and I ate all appetizers and that we were able to sit while our food was still warm. She came outside to find us to let us know dinner was at the table! A detail I think is often overlooked. Ginny went so far beyond what I expected with other details as well. All tables were set and decorated exactly as I asked. She worked with myself, my husband, and my mom to meet all of our requests. We were planning to make our own cocktail signs and it didn’t work out, Ginny had a back-up sign made already and it was set up when we arrived. I didn’t need to ask! If I could give more than five stars I would. Thank you Ginny and all of the Ginny Lee staff for making our day absolutely perfect.

If you’re looking for views, service, great food, a broad alcohol selection, and AMAZING service, then look no further. I was blown away by all of the above, but especially by Ginny and her team. They had every little detail covered and helped us have a smooth wedding day. I was blown away by how helpful they all were and am forever thankful we chose The Ginny Lee Cafe as our wedding venue. Thank you again Ginny!

    Virginia “Ginny” Lee is the granddaughter of Wagner Vineyards founder Bill Wagner and manages the restaurant and event venue named after her: The Ginny Lee Café. Ginny has worked at the Café since middle school, taking over event planning and restaurant management in 2011. She has planned well over 500 weddings and has been involved in coordinating more than 1,000 over the years. Ginny is highly organized with a strong background in customer service, timeline management and attention to detail, which allows Ginny and her team to create one-of-a-kind events for our couples and always exceed expectations.

inny exceeded all expectations. She was amazing from the start. She provided us with a handbook with every little detail we could possibly need. She even knew the average sunset time and weather for our wedding date. After a year of thorough planning with her, the actual day went off amazingly. She was there from beginning to end. If you needed a recommendation for something, she would give you sound advice from her many years of experience. The new arch and walkway are beautiful, and I can't wait to get our pictures back. The food and bar service were amazing as well. You really can't go wrong with the Ginny Lee.

One piece of feedback from the planning process was that after our tasting, we provided some gentle feedback on the food and our follow-up conversation with the chef felt more defensive than collaborative, which made us hesitant to share additional feedback. That said, the food on the wedding day exceeded expectations and many of our guests noted it was the best wedding food they have had. My only other disappointment is that although Ginny had assured me I would not need to keep track of timing or worry about the timeline on the wedding day, I still felt like I was managing timing and logistics as the bride. I wish there had been more hands-on coordination day of so that I could have been more present and less focused on keeping things moving. Overall, the venue itself was beautiful and many aspects were executed really well, but I would have appreciated more support with day-of coordination.

g! She makes time to talk with you and/or your vendors to make sure to get all of the little details right. Wedding planning from afar I felt so secure knowing everything was in Ginny’s hands! It was also great to know that they provided everything we needed for both the ceremony (arch, chairs, barrels) and the reception (food, bar service, tables, linens) and that they had a built in rain backup plan (ceremony inside the cafe in the reception area). The food was amazing and we got lots of compliments from the guests! Ginny was able to easily add a meal option for my few vegan guests. She also did not charge us for “ghost guests” when we didn’t meet the minimum for Saturdays but instead added a grazing table to our cocktail hour to make up the difference in price. We got to meet the chef at our tasting (included in the wedding package) and he was happy to make the few changes we asked about. We were able to select 6 Wagner Vineyard wines to serve at the wedding during a private tasting. They were all great and my only regret is that I didn’t have more at the actual wedding! We also got to have all of their craft beers, non-alcoholic root beer, and a few standard beers on tap. We selected the consumption package so we only paid for what our guests drank, beer & wine only (although guests could purchase liquor drinks), which saved us money. Overall working with Ginny was amazing and the venue was perfect!

enue knows exactly how to put on a wedding. I got so many compliments on the location and how well the wedding went. The food was amazing and not your typical dry bland wedding food. Everything had flavor and was perfectly prepared. Even the bar was amazing and ran so smoothly, there was never a line and everyone always had a full glass. Most importantly at the end of the night we just left and picked up our decor the next day. If you are looking to have the perfect wedding this is the venue for you.

special order day was extra special. The food was outstanding, and who could complain about all of Wagner's award winning wine and beer! And let's not forget the amazing view of the vineyards overlooking Seneca Lake. It was an absolutely magical experience, me and my wife are so thankful that we chose the Ginny Lee Cafe and Wagner Vineyards/Wagner Valley Brewing company to host our wedding and reception! y first day that we met with her, Ginny was excited for us, immediately started investing in our vision for the day, and had the organizational skills to make it happen. It is obvious that she has the experience of planning many weddings, since she was able to guide us on things that we hadn’t even thought of. Ginny and Chef Mitch are a perfect pair! From the food choices, to the timeline for the night, everything was planned out in advance and went off without a hitch. Her staff was well trained and thoughtful, even providing non-alcoholic toasts for specific guests. The food was incredible, making it difficult to narrow down the choices for our meals. The grounds and scenery provide the perfect backdrop for pictures that will last a lifetime. Throughout the ever changing Covid19 restrictions, Ginny kept us up-to-date as soon as she heard anything. She was willing to modify or postpone our event, if we wanted to, to make sure that we had our dream wedding. Her flexibility and communication throughout the process was exceptional.

amazing, she has got events down to a science. She is always quick to respond to emails regardless of all my silly questions. Ginny and her staff go above and beyond to make it less stressful on the couple. They have preferred vendors which the way we went and they do all the set up and take down. The food is amazing and there were so many choices to pick from. All of our guests absolutely loved the wedding and raved about the location and food. A huge thank you to Ginny and her staff because we couldn't have planned our wedding without your help!

The food was some of the best wedding food i've had. Everyone loved the Wagner wines/beers and top shelf cocktails. Ginny herself is extremely organized, responsive and reliable. She set up the room exactly like the pictures I sent her. I also feel like this venue is very reasonably priced.

self; her attention to detail and immediate response was TOP KNOTCH! The food was great (we went with a buffet) and she even assisted in providing us with a great gluten free menu. I'd recommend this venue to anyone looking for a winery wedding... and go with the garlic mashed potatoes :)
