y. They were always quick to respond to emails asking for help or suggestions. They had a well-coordinated team to help keep all of our vendors, detail items, and desires organized and ready to go for the wedding day. On the day of, they came prepared. They knew the ins and outs of our ceremony and reception and kept everything moving to keep us on time and ensure we had the wedding of our dreams. We had the best night of our lives and didn’t worry about a single thing. Hands down this was the best investment that we made in our wedding planning. A few things that we really appreciated: The little red wagon they had on the day-of was super useful for us and our parents to hold any items that we might need for the day. Especially having a second line, the red wagon helped to ensure everyone had a backup pair of shoes to make our parade around the French quarter magical and not painful. The magical apron of holding (our name for it) was amazing. It had all of the small items that one could need at a moment’s notice. This came in especially handy during our first look and family photos. They always had a pin or a comb to adjust hair, a tux or even a boutonniere. They even had tools to help with the wedding dress during the bustling process. At one point in the night a button of the bustle popped off and they had the dress fixed in a matter of seconds using extra string and wiring from the magical apron. Knowing what to do at all times and preempting solutions to problems before they can happen. Our wedding had a tight time line between the ceremony and the start of the second line in which we wanted to take photos at the church. To facilitate this, Jamie ducked down and hid behind the bride to bustle her dress while we were taking photos to ensure we made it to the second line. This was an amazing idea and saved us so much time. You could not even tell that she was there in the photos! Water! New Orleans can be very warm and being outside for hours to take photos in wedding attire can rapidly lead to dehydration, but the girls in black always anticipated this and helped us to keep water available and organized so that no one over heated or got dehydrated. Additionally, at the reception they always brought my husband water when he was looking dehydrated/hot and running between photos we needed at the reception. End of night! At the end of a long wedding day and night, it was so magical not to worry about picking up, returning items, or really anything! The Girls in Black packed up everything at our reception venue seamlessly and returned it all to our hotel room before we could even make it through the door. They had all of the items cleaned, packaged in the original boxes, and shoes lined up and waiting. They even brought a floral centerpiece to our room to give us a little bit of our wedding night to enjoy the next day. Every detail was immaculate and thoughtful. Overall the Girls in Black made our wedding day perfectly enjoyable and memorable. All of our family members told us how amazingly organized, timely, helpful and kind they were. My brother in law who had just gotten married months before even said “I have never seen this level of organization, I wish we could have had coordinators that were this organized and on top of everything at my wedding.”

We were running late for our rehearsal and they were incredibly patient and interacted seamlessly with our wedding party and guests. They went above and beyond making sure we had water, coolers, signage, and more. Thank you Jamie and Kerrie making our wedding day so special!

The week of the wedding they both went above and beyond to make sure everything we could have imagined was taken care of and especially on wedding day! I will never do another event without the GIRLS!!!

They know so much (I actually wish I wouldve taken their advice on how much to spend on party favors, whoops!), and are very frank and quick with all of their advice, which is really what a bride needs when there is so much going on and SO many different options. They also are very well connected and are sensitive to budget – we had somewhat of a tight budget and they were so helpful with accomplishing that without any sort of judgment or disdain. I gotta say, the thing that is making me write this how they showed up day of at our wedding. I honestly get teary eyed thinking about it - they are so thoughtful, and everyone kept commenting on how thoughtful they were (so that sentiment is completely unbiased). I didnt know many things, but they would go around making sure my family and everyone else at the wedding was ok and if they needed anything. I wont get into details about everything that they did for me, but I can just summarize it by saying the following - think of everything that you’d want your best friend, now husband, mother to do – they helped me with it and not just like met expectations but went ABOVE AND BEYOND. I kept telling them afterwards, and I mean it still, that they’re kids are incredibly lucky to have them as their mothers because that help was a key component to helping me enjoy my wedding. Not to mention, I have no idea about design - like I wasnt the person with an organized pinterest before I got engaged, and it was really difficult for me to imagine the design of our wedding and holy moly - probably one of the prettiest weddings I’ve seen at our venue. They did an awesome job on that front. Lastly, my husband and I had a wild last minute idea that I thought would never work out - and they made it happen and I will be eternally grateful to them for that. If you’re thinking about it, just do it. It will be worth every single penny :)

They ensured vendors was on point and that we had everything we needed. Even delivering my items from the house to reception hall, from hotel to ceremony and venue, and from reception to my house after!!!! BEST MONEY I SPENT FOR THE WEDDING. If you are planning a wedding, DO NOT do it without these professionals!!! They are the bomb!!!! So sweet to work with. Didn’t leave one stone unturned.

ie and Kerrie handled EVERYTHING for us! Leading up to the wedding, the coordinated all of our vendors and were overall SO knowledgeable about the planning process. They had the answers to all of the questions I didn't even think to ask. When thinking about the layout of the venue, they thoughtfully suggested we do our cake cutting privately, as they knew I was feeling very anxious about a lot of people watching me (lol). Their attention to detail carried into our wedding weekend where they provided us a very detailed spreadsheet/timeline, which I loved. During the actual event itself, Jamie and Kerrie kept EVERYTHING running smoothly, not to mention they made sure I always had a drink in my hand!! Really, these girls are the real deal, and worth every single penny and more (although super affordable too)! Jamie and Kerrie - THANK YOU for everything!!

to write them a review”. Literally, the GIB were my life savers. From the first meeting we had at a coffee shop, to the sad moment I told them goodbye the wedding night, they were there for me. I hired them for month of for one wedding. Needless to say, Covid hit, and they planned two weddings. Everything had to be re-thought out, completely changed, and we didn’t know what we were up against even the week of the wedding with all the phase 2 restrictions. I knew I could put it in their hands to just make changes as needed. They did that, and did it PERFECTLY! They made my vision come true and then some. My Dad still to this day talks about how amazing they were and that’s coming from the guy who at first said he just doesn’t understand why we need a wedding planner. LOL. Trust me, YOU DO! I was able to sit back and enjoy the day, knowing that they were downstairs creating a masterpiece. The attention to detail throughout the entire day was amazing. They didn’t only tend to my husband and I, but also all of our family and bridal party. My parents were so thankful. We’d be taking pictures in August heat and next thing you know there is Jamie with a tray of waters. This is one example of so many things they did. They just thought of every little detail. And that made my Type A personality so happy. I also feel like I gained two friends :) but maybe I’m just fan-girling two total ROCKSTARS!!! Hands down. Hire the Girls In Black. It’ll be worth every penny!

I got a taste of what it was like to be Kim Kardashian for a day... being the bride you have 1,000 things of your own to do on your wedding day and 500 more that pop up throughout the day. They help manage and keep you calm. They took such good care of not only me, but my fiance and our parents and wedding party throughout the day and night. They handled every little task which enabled us all to be present and soak everything in. Our rings got stolen the morning of our wedding and they calmed us down and became the guardians of our stand-in replacement rings. I woke up with a swollen knee on my wedding day and they kept getting me ice and even came prepared with some backup flip flops I ended up needing when I just couldn't wear my heels anymore. I could go on and on about all of the different things they did for us that had such a big impact on our day. These ladies are the definition of professionals!! They seem to know what you need or what to do with only a look. They took care of transporting and setting up all of our personal items for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding.. just TRUE MVPs. They are the biggest and best support you can have on your wedding day to make it a happy and streamlined day for you and I cannot recommend them enough. I will TRULY be forever grateful to GIB and never forget the part they played in our big day. It's been two months since my wedding now and I still think of them often and just how amazing they were (and fun too!!! (: ) They are literally the best ever!!!

I’m a very type A person and organization is what gives me peace of mind, and they were ON IT for every small detail I had planned - they executed. They gave me genuine advice and supported all my decisions. They showed excitement and eagerness to be working with me and that really meant a lot to me. The girls took care of everything even at the end of the night by making sure all our belongings were delivered to our airbnb and that we had water and food to come home to! I will forever be indebted to them as they really made my dreams come true and I couldn’t ever imagine my wedding day without them! Thank you SO much Jamie and Kerrie for being everything to me!! You would be doing yourself a disservice to not hire Girls in Black.

ding day prep ran on time and smoothly, coordinating arrival of hair & makeup, florals, groom prep and insuring all family arrived on time for group photos (also made sure we all ate and drank plenty of water!!) They were experts at holding out my veil and then quickly running away to get the perfect shot :) While we were waiting to start the ceremony to start they ran around and played with the ring bearers as they were getting restless. The night ran as smooth as possible! Even when my second dress zipper split down the back (yes that happened!), the girls quickly had all hands on deck to get the zipper down, re-zip, and were prepared with safety pins just in case it split again during the second line! They took full care of venue clean up at the end of the night (I thought nothing about it) and all of our personal items and dinners were back in the room when we finally made it back to the hotel! I could go on and on... Thank you so much for everything! Your stress free and always smiling attitudes really made our day the best it could be! Highly recommend for month of planning to make sure your day runs smoothly, you can enjoy every moment and be stress free!!

Their attention to detail is great, they make sure that all the boxes are checked for what we had left to do, and they made sure all our vendors knew what, when and where they needed to be on the day of. They also took it upon themselves to get to know us, out parents, out family and friends. They weren't just another vendor we were paying, they actually cared about the day and getting to know everyone. Without a doubt, it was a flawless weekend, no mis-haps, no confusion and no anxiety. Just some normal bridal nervousness from my end, that they also cared about and make sure I was ok. Hands down, I would hire them all over again, and they come with high recommendations from us.

They even managed to get a restless ring bearer down the aisle and got him to stand still for pictures. I told the GIB team that I wanted my face to hurt from smiling so much and I wanted my feet to hurt from dancing, they delivered on both. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome. And there was cake when we got home. =) These 5 stars should be 5 diamonds!

g to hire a wedding planner and WOW we are sure glad that we did!!!! We hired GIB as day of planners but they went far above and beyond just day of planning. GIB was always very quick to respond to all of my emails, answer any questions I may have had and they even provided me with vendor recommendations since I was an out of state bride. Leading up to the big day it was looking like there would be heavy rain and the plan was for the ceremony to be outdoors, not only did GIB keep our nerves calm and ensure us that they would handle anything that mother nature threw our way, I was also able to order umbrellas and have them shipped right to GIB and they brought them to the venue just in case. Fortunately, the weather cooperated but it was so great to know that no matter what happened GIB would have it handled! On the wedding day the GIB ladies had their A game going and were on top of EVERYTHING. To be honest I don't even know the full extent of everything they handled and accomplished because they were so focused on making everything seem so seamless that it allowed my husband and I to just relax and focus on the fun and joy of the day. It was also great for the mother of the bride, mother of the groom and all the bridesmaids and groomsmen because there was nothing that they had to focus on aside from having a good time. The GIB ladies were on top of making sure all the vendors coordinated together, all final payments were made and everything was in place. There were times when the GIB ladies were so on top of things my husband and I joked that it was as if they could read our minds - Want another cocktail? The GIB ladies probably already have one in hand ready and waiting for you! Another awesome benefit of having GIB was that at the end of the night the GIB ladies made sure that all of our cards, personal items etc. were taken back to our hotel room so we could head straight to the after party with our guests. To top it all off the GIB ladies made sure that our left over cake and reception food was boxed up and taken to our hotel so we even got to snack on it later. Even after the wedding the GIB ladies were so kind to send us some amazing photos and videos they had taken on the wedding day which was great since you don't get the professional photos back right away. If you are on the fence about hiring a day of planner do it!! GIB really is the best, thank you so so much ladies!!!!

As an out of town bride, they had so many great suggestions and advise along the way. They recommended vendors and were even there to problem solve with us when we ran into a few unexpected vendor cancellations and crises. They were prompt in all communications and made us a beautiful day of timeline. They did so much for us the day of the wedding that I'm not even sure that I really noticed it all. These ladies kept us on schedule, organized the vendors, set up things at the ceremony and the reception, kept us calm, brought us drinks, and even fixed my future mother in laws necklace when it broke! We also realized in the chaos of the day that we forgot our marriage certificate back at the hotel! Without even blinking an eye, they were off to run back and grab it for us. They were the glue that held our wedding day together. I give them all of the credit for making our day so perfect and can't even begin to thank them enough.

They thought of and took care of every detail no matter how big or small so that my daughter and I could enjoy her wedding day. They organized all the vendors and the entire day went very smoothly and believe me when you are having a big wedding in a church, with transportation, bands, bakers, florists, photographers, video, photo booths, etc... a lot can happen. They managed it all down to collecting all the bridesmaids items and everything in the reception venue afterwards and delivered some to my hotel and the majority to my home so I did not have to deal with it at the hotel when checking out. They even picked up the wedding cake stand and returned it to the bakery to make sure I was not charged. They are AMAZING LADIES! They know how to keep the day running on schedule and very smoothly. If you need a wedding or special event planner no matter if you are having a large or small event then, do yourself a favor and hire them. I wish I could give them more than five stars! We had a large wedding with ceremony and reception at one location during the day, a 2 hour intermission and a meet up in the french quarter for our second line at dusk with about 200 people. They were able to coordinate our rehearsal, all of our vendors, belongings, navigate last minute concerns, and made me feel like our vision was completely understood and executed perfectly. We are so glad we got to know Jamie and Kerrie and cannot recommend them highly enough!!

This was hands down the BEST decision we made with our wedding. They took care of everything and eliminated all the guesswork and stress that will ultimately ensue with a wedding. Trust me, you will be so thankful that you booked them!!!

wo weeks since Duane and I took the plunge and all my guests are still raving about how beautiful and fun our wedding was. I can't credit the GIB enough for orchestrating such a seamless event. They were very organized. GIB engineered a day of schedule that ran smoothly. Any breaks that might have been in the original plan went unnoticed because of their flexibility and professionalism. This wedding was particularly challenging to plan because it was a destination wedding. However, GIB were there for us every step of the way. We shipped wedding supplies to them, they helped us with rehearsal, they even bussed tables so they wait staff could bring out more food, they helped me change my dress, made sure all our ceremonial belongs got to where they needed to be and at the right time, they delivered all our keep sakes to our room and herded cats i.e. wedding party members to the appropriate places. They even helped us find the perfect officiant, Pastor Campbell. I can't list all the many ways Kerrie and Jamie contributed to making our wedding day so fabulous. I am probably only scratching the surface when reflecting on all the ways they managed the perfect day for us because I was having so much fun myself. These ladies took charge so my moms, my bridesmaids and myself could all relax and truly enjoy the event.

They made my bride and I feel comfortable and less nervous about the big weekend. They LISTENED to all of her requests, and they didn't provide their own opinions unless we asked them to or unless it was necessary. They had a great balance of providing great insight based on their personal experiences with weddings at our venue WHILE also abiding by everything my bride wanted. They provided creative solutions to problems, and they were also open to trying new ideas too. They were very knowledgeable about the venue, styles, and what's trending. And they were extremely easy to get along with. We actually enjoyed meeting with them; they took the stress of planning away! They worked well with all of our other vendors, and everything was set up PERFECTLY when we arrived to the reception. After the ceremony, we really enjoyed how they showed us pictures of our reception set up with 5 different uplighting, and let us pick one. This was awesome because you never really know what you want for lighting until you see everything. They have great taste and they comprehend the exact feel/vibe that you are going for in the wedding, and they execute on that. Before the ceremony, they were non-stop worker bees on a very hot Louisiana summer day. During the reception, they were constantly getting the pulse of the crowd during the reception and always made sure we had everything we needed and were happy with everything. Perhaps the greatest showing of their service was when my bride couldn't get out of her dress (it had some sort of strings that needed to be untied the right way) and did not hesitate to offer and help; they came up to the suite in the hotel at midnight (the reception had ended at 10:30!) to help her. They also had set up everything in our suite - the cake, gifts, etc. - organized well to bring home the next day. This was extremely convenient because packing the next day can be very troublesome. All things considered, Jamie and Kerrie are exactly what you look for in wedding planners. Don't hesitate to reserve them for your wedding! Wedding Location: Southern Hotel, Covington, Louisiana.
