This wedding venue was EXACTLY what we were looking for— the free will to choose caterers we wanted, the reasonable price point, and having the venue for the whole weekend were all...
selling points for us. The grounds had ample photo spots, and we loved being able to add the ranger house for the weekend as a spot to get ready!
This venue was absolutely perfect! Communication with Sam was super easy and she answered all of our questions throughout the process. Our guests kept coming up to us and saying, “...
How did you find this place!? It’s beautiful!” We also rented the cabins for the weekend which was so much fun.
Perfect wedding ceremony location! For couples trying to find venues in southeast WI with a limited budget, this has everything you need for an amazing wedding celebration! We got ...
it for the whole weekend as well as their cabin space. They also were very accommodating of furniture that was being picked up after the 'check out' time.
Such a beautiful location, and really let us be independent with what we wanted to do. We had our ceremony and reception there, as well as housed the bridal party for the weekend a...
s well, which was super nice! However, there's not much room if you want to separate the bride vs. groom side of things when it comes to getting ready, just be prepared! We had the venue the day before the wedding to set everything up as well, which was very helpful. Sam, the venue manager, was very responsive and easy to work with. There is no event staff, so everything is on your own (which we didn't mind at all!) The only slight downsides were that it was a bit pricey for what we got, and you have to be out FAST on Sunday even if you buy for the entire weekend because most times there's a wedding on Sunday as well. Also, if you have your ceremony/anything outdoors, bring lots of extension cords because there isn't any outdoor power and you have to run it through the chapel or reception hall windows.
When we were looking for venues, two things mattered most to me... first, the ability to have an outside ceremony, and two budget friendly. Glacier Hills County Park has so many st...
unning views, especially during the fall. The colorful trees surrounding the area are so gorgeous. We were able to have our ceremony on a grassy hill, and it's easy to find a good spot close to the reception hall if needed.
The budget friendliness of this place can't be beat.. granted, we did a Thursday wedding, which automatically makes it cheaper, but the freedom to choose your own catering really made the difference. We were able to choose our own catering, and had a friend be our bartender, which cut down on costs significantly.
The reception hall itself is a nice space, but you really have the chance to make it your own.
Sam is who we worked with during the booking process, and she was so kind. She answered the millions of questions I had over the months leading up to the wedding, and made the process smooth.
Anyone looking for a smaller, outdoor optional, and budget friendly wedding space should consider Glacier Hills!
A truly beautiful wedding venue with so many unique photo locations. The hall itself is a good combination between rustic/modern, the large outside patio area was perfect for a war...
m day, and they recently added a permanent ceremony arbor that is gorgeous. We were optimizing for a truly unique/memorable “camp” style wedding experience. All of our friends/wedding party were able to rent out the 9 cabins the park offers (Fri-Sun) and we had a bonfire on-site after our rehearsal dinner. This venue allows you to select all your own vendors without restriction, so in that sense we were able to save some money and make our wedding exactly what we wanted! The park coordinator Sam was nice to work with and answered all of our many questions.
This place is the best, absolutely what we needed. The prices are better than any comparable venue. If you book a Saturday, you get Friday and part of Sunday included. Samantha was...
so communicative and helpful. We knew exactly what we'd need to provide and how to set up. Plus, no food and beverage fees or minimums? Incredible.
We had an amazing day at the park.
Absolutely beautiful site for wedding weekend. We loved the flexibility of being able to decorate and set up the venue how we wanted.
The building and grounds are very well kept, ...
not much decoration was needed as the building itself is quite beautiful. Many guests commented on its rustic but modern look.
The biggest "'issue" from many guests was the lack of signage through the park directing towards to venue itself.
We coordinated with Samantha and she was amazing to work with!
This place is outstandingly perfect. I love that there are two buildings, and the space is perfect. The spaces are beautiful enough, they don’t need much to decorate. Overall, my w...
edding was the best day of my life and I could not have chosen a better venue.
Beautiful indoor and outdoor wedding location. We loved the options to completely DIY a lot of things ourselves.
Glacier Hills County Park was the perfect simple woodland wedding venue we wanted! It was gorgeous without needing all the extra decorations which allow us to focus more on the day...
itself. The facilities were clean and well stocked, there was plenty of parking and the staff was very helpful. Our only complaint was that there was no recycling on site. We highly recommend Glacier Hills for your wedding!
Glacier Hills County Park was an incredible place to have our beautiful, outdoor wedding. We had plenty of gorgeous spots outside for pictures and our ceremony, plus the Hall provi...
ded a large, rustic space for our reception. We LOVED getting married here and celebrating in the Hall. Our guests commented on the beauty of the park along with how great the Hall is. Krystal was awesome to work with along the way, too!
We could not have imagined a more beautiful venue for our wedding! Our ceremony was outdoors on the sled hill, surrounded by the sounds of nature and tall pines, making it a very u...
nique and lovely experience for our guests. The reception hall is gorgeous on its own, and even with minimal decorations, our guests commented on how classy everything looked. Having everything in one spot made it incredibly easy for our guests and wedding party. The entire day was absolutely magical!
This place is absolutely beautiful! We rented the ranger house the whole weekend for all the girls to get ready in and it worked great. The area is great, pet friendly, so our dog ...
actually got to be our ring bearer, and very scenic. We had our ceremony outside and then the reception was inside with a bunch of games set up for people to play on the patio. People could go take a walk down to the lake and come back whenever they wanted. Would definitely suggest!
We were 100% satisfied with this wedding venue and our experience working with Krystal. The venue itself was beautiful with green trees and wild flowers. There was plenty of outdo...
or access (we rented tent for part of this space), a restored chapel onsite for ceremony, and an indoor venue hall for our reception. We even rented out the cabins and ranger house nearby to allow us to spend more time over the weekend with our wedding party and guests. We loved that we were able to rent out it out for the whole weekend--allows you to wait until the day after to clean-up if desired. We enjoyed the freedom of having the venue all to ourselves even if that meant we had to set-up and take-down on our own. Overall, we had SO many compliments on our venue and were very happy with choosing Glacier Hills!
Krystal was so wonderful and was very helpful in answering questions, letting me come in a few times to check out the venue and take notes. The venue itself was absolutely beautifu...
l! I could not have had a more perfect setting for our forest-themed wedding. The grounds were amazing, the buildings were absolutely stunning, and I could not recommend this venue more! For a couple who wants to be more flexible with food and drinks (the venue has no required catering or bar services, which really made us able to stay within our budget) this place was especially perfect.
The most beautiful venue! If you are looking for a rustic/industrial, naturistic venue, this place is perfect. It is rustic on the outside but the hall has a beautiful rustic indus...
trial feel. The chapel is definitely historical and very old but that is why I loved it so very much! Krystal, the parks business coordinator, was amazing at communicating with us! There are not many pictures online of the inside of this venue so she let us into the venue multiple times so we could get measurements and pictures! The venue is very affordable. We rented it out for the entire weekend and they even let us in earlier. In addition, this is a venue that is extremely flexible! They allow you to bring in whatever vendors you would like. We really got to choose and build our entire day up from scratch. They do not supply staffing, but we were able to do everything ourselves with the help of our other vendors (who were so involved). We did not have a coordinator and the day went so smoothly!! Ourselves, family, and friends did not have to lift a finger!
I found Glacier Hills online while hunting for a venue at local parks. After touring the location with Krystal we knew immediately we wanted to have our wedding there. Krystal was ...
super helpful and responsive when we had questions throughout our planning process. The chapel and reception hall are beautiful and they are very liberal with their rules, which was very helpful when figuring out our food and wine/beer/soda situation. Beautiful locations throughout the park for photos, from the chapel itself to the lake and cabins.
Perfect wedding venue! So thankful we booked Glacier Hills for our wedding. We chose the weekend rental package so our family and friends could stay in the cabins on-site. The hall...
and chapel were absolutely fantastic and the staff was so helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and the park has the BEST photo spots for those wedding photos.
I had my wedding there on August 29th, 2020. The place was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating and understanding. It was a perfect day! We rented out the hall the chapel...
and all of the cabins for the weekend, it was like having the whole place to our selves. What I loved the most about the place was the history, the location, and how wonderful the staff was. Thank you Krystal.
We had a summer casual wedding and this venue was perfect! We only rented the Hall, and used the grassy space outdoors for the ceremony. Communication was great...extremely helpful...
with everything and flexible if we needed to make changes. Plenty of chairs and tables were provided, along with a clean dressing room space and restrooms. Loved that we were able to use any caterer we wanted and bring our own drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). This venue is very cost-friendly. We got so many compliments about how beautiful the area outdoors was, along with the recently renovated Hall. We can't say enough positive things about Glacier Hills!!
Very cost-friendly (though I've heard it has now gone up in cost), clean, accommodating, and customization. We got a lot of compliments from our guests on the venue and I really li...
ked that we could use any caterer, cake maker, and could bring and choose our own beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
We rented the Hall for the weekend so we could decorate the day before and take down the day after. The value for your money is great and the land is beautiful.
BEAUTIFUL. CHAPEL. HALL LAKE. PERFECT. PERFECT DAY.
It was in a beautiful county park on a lake. There were indoor and outdoor accomodations.;This type of venue is better suited to a more casual style wedding
