From the get-go this seemed a little too good to be true. Glam House Studio’s prices were great, and Shannon’s communication (at first) was decent. First, I thought it was fishy th...at 50% of the cost was due as the deposit and her contract says “Deposit Non-Refundable” like 6 times, but I proceeded anyway. I was travelling from out of state and reached out to set up a trial run for hair and makeup, a date and time was set and that was the last I heard from her. On the day of the appointment, I emailed beforehand to confirm the address and received no response, so I went to the address given, which was some house. I knocked and no one answered, I called, and left messages even sent emails with no response at all. I called and emailed two days after the missed set appointment with my first request for my deposit returned, to which it went unanswered. The day after I had returned home, she responded in email that she supposedly “was in a car accident and was hospitalized with serious injury for the last several days/weeks” and could not respond to any of my communication attempts. After a quick google search of Glam House Studios I discovered that the car accident scenario was also used in a different review from another bride. She tried to see if I would be willing to reschedule the trial for the week of the wedding. I told her that I was not comfortable with that due to her poor reviews, and if I did not like the trial there would not be enough time to get another artist under contract before the wedding. At this point I once again requested a return of my deposit due to her breach of contract which states that she “agrees to be available for unlimited contact prior to the wedding, will supply hair, makeup, and skin care supplies, and will be available at the required time.” She has failed to respond to that email, and she has failed to respond to a promise of legal action should she continue to hold my deposit. I am now forced to take her to court (process is underway). Avoid this vendor at all costs if you are already under contract with her and have yet to send a deposit save your money. I will update this upon the completion of the Legal proceedings.
