Glam Nola

My experience with Glam Nola was perfect! They were timely, professional, reasonably priced, and did a fabulous job with everyone's hair and makeup! I'm usually really picky about makeup, but I had nothing to worry about. The base and eyes were flawless and lasted all night! Also, they were so sweet and chill and made the morning of the wedding really great!

Glam Nola was amazing from the pricing all the way to the day of the wedding. I had a hair and makeup trial with Amanda and she did amazing. The day of the wedding I wanted to change what I wanted my hair like and she accommodated me. My makeup was perfect also the day of!!!

We hired Glam NOLA to do hair and makeup for myself and 5 bridesmaids. The hair was beautiful and Lauren did a great job working with all hair textures and making everyone feel great. The makeup artist Erin was super friendly and talkative, but was unfortunately more than 30 minutes late. To catch up on time she was rushing through everyone’s makeup, and didn’t take a lot of time to ask what everyone wanted. She didn’t use primer, powder, or setting spray, and didn’t prep our skin in any way before applying makeup. My bridesmaids all went before me and none of them were happy with their makeup, with eyebrows and lack of undereye concealer being the main concerns, but there was no time for fixes because she arrived late. My eye makeup was gorgeous, but I was a little disappointed that she didn’t put anything on my face to help conceal my acne scars, and didn’t put anything on to set my makeup so I had to reapply most things on my own after photos before the wedding started.

April did the most incredible hair and makeup for me for my wedding! I loved her work when she did my hair and makeup test and somehow it got even better for the big day. Glam Nola was really easy to work with, so responsive and friendly. I would highly recommend!!

I used Glam Nola for makeup and they are the best hands down. Ashley is so talented and truly understands that everyone looks different and knows how to enhance features. My entire bridal party said it's the best makeup they ever had and I agree!

Amanda was on time, extremely skilled, friendly - and provided a great experience for us. Got so many compliments on our make up look. She was fabulous. Highly recommend.

If there are any curly girls out there, these are your people! I truly have never felt so beautiful as I did in my wedding day. I looked like the most beautiful version of myself and have zero complaints. My mom had never had her makeup professionally done and said “I’m in love with myself!” So that was just an added bonus. I hired them when they did the hair and makeup for a wedding I was in, and they made everyone look stunning. Ashley and Candice are incredible and while I am very picky, I highly recommend them.

I have nothing but the HIGHEST reviews of the services that Glam Nola provided to my wedding party. The artists were so patient, organized, prompt, and so incredibly thoughtful throughout the entire day. As a team, they made eight women who barely wear makeup, let alone professional makeup, feel so comfortable and confident that it brought tears to some of their eyes. I've never been in a wedding party where not one member of the party had a single issue with either hair or makeup services until my own. As a team, they dominated the day but they glowed individually as well. April was the most versatile and talented hair stylist I have ever worked with. Each of those eight women have dramatically different hair length and texture and she effortlessly styled each to exactly what was asked for. She effectively braided, glam waved, fully curled, and did the most incredible up-do I have ever had done with my extreme natural curls. Every single person's hair lasted the entire night and did not fall once. She kept conversation rolling and ensured a last-call check before we walked out the door, even when told it was unnecessary for some. She is an incredible asset to your team. Erika, aside from her talent as a makeup artist, has the gift of distraction and gab that truly impacted my day dramatically. She was so intuitive to my emotions that she was able to distract me and get me to calm my nerves just by her entertainment. Aside from her emotional flexibility, she literally made every single face she touched completely flawless. Our makeup lasted the ENTIRE night and did not wear off after dancing or sweating. She was even kind enough to touch up a few spots on my (non-make up wearing, gender non-conforming) wife who said she was "the most confident" she's ever felt because of how natural and understanding Erika was with her. I cannot be more thankful to have had her on my wedding day team and there to make my wife feel flawless for the first time as well. I look forward to using both of their services again in the future and to tell anyone and everyone who will listen to BOOK THIS COMPANY! Thanks for everything you did to make my day so special.

Ashley and Candice were absolutely incredible to work with from start to finish: from the consultation phone call, to booking my trial hair and make-up (highly recommend doing one!), to the wedding day. Everything was professional and stress-free, which is what you want from your beauty team! They are gave me advice for making my day-of itinerary, and everything went smoothly- we were right on time! It was really important to me that my hair and make-up look natural- I wanted me and my bridal party to look like us on the wedding day- nothing too drastic. Wow, did they deliver!!! I cried when I saw myself for the first time, and every was happy with their looks. Many guests have since commented on how awesome the wedding party looked! We all danced all night, partied in the streets during our second line, and everyone's hair and make-up still looked amazing at the after party! Glam Nola is truly the best!! Ashley and Candice were able to fit in my hair and make up trial 2 hours before I had to get on a flight and despite the long day of travel, I still looked great after I got home! They really listened to me and I loved the look they created. For the wedding day, there were 7 bridesmaids plus myself and my mom for hair, make up, and lashes and not only did they finish early with time for touch ups but the entire process was extremely low stress and felt like a group of friends just hanging out. Everyone was so happy with the final result and my make up and hair stayed in place through the afterparty! Definitely make Glam Nola a priority to book for your wedding!

Amanda and Erica from Glam Nola did a WONDERFUL job on our hair and makeup! We had 7 people and they kept us on schedule - actually a little ahead of schedule! They were patient with all of the goings on in the suite that morning, and they were also so much fun! They accomplished all of the looks that each person wanted, and had us all feeling absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend Glam Nola!

Ashley and Candace are incredible artists! They did hair and makeup for me and my mother/sister for my rehearsal dinner and all my bridesmaids, moms, and I's hair and makeup for my wedding day and they absolutely killed it. Ashley does magic with her makeup skills! She is so fast, sweet, and talented. She is extremely knowledgeable on makeup, color palettes, symmetry, face shapes, etc. That is more important than most people may realize. She is always going to make each individual look their best because of that knowledge. Plus, she truly cares & she loves what she does. She’s an amazing artist.

Of all of my vendors, I feel like Glam NOLA was the easiest decision to work with. Ashley and Candice were absolutely amazing. They really made everyone look their absolute best but without looking overdone - stunning, flawless. Erica and April with Glam Nola were an awesome hair and make-up duo! We got married at a hotel off of Bourbon Street (where we also stayed) and they were able to come to our suite. They were very efficient and done with all of our hair and make-up ahead of schedule; and that is despite my having a slight panic attack and getting ill. They were super sweet about it and very helpful. They really cared to ensure I still looked beautiful no matter what happened! My bridesmaids and I looked absolutely stunning.

I WISH THERE WERE A MILLION STARS to give this all-star team, Candice and Ashley. I cannot say enough good things about their professionalism, talent, and personalities. They completely vibed with my bridal party, and executed our hair and makeup vision with perfection. I even texted Ashley letting her know my eyelashes needed a tiny touch up before the ceremony and hours after our session ended she drove to my venue, hopped a fence to get to me and make sure I looked absolutely perfect. I was a little hesitant because I have never done professional hair and makeup and don't like a cakey, overproduced look, and man they just worked MAGIC. And, were so dang CHILL the whole time! I can't say enough. BOOK THEM BOOK THEM BOOK THEM!!

The whole Glam Nola team was incredible to work with. From scheduling a trial to organizing the details of the day, they made everything easy. Vanessa and Erica were AMAZING! They made me (and all of my bridesmaids) feel absolutely beautiful. They listened to everything we wanted and tailored each person’s hair and makeup to their specific needs. We were so happy to work with Glam NOLA to provide hair and makeup services for our wedding! Incredibly professional, easy to work with, and no frills. Everyone in the wedding party kept commenting how easy the entire process was, which is a credit to Glam NOLA and their work ethic. We ended ahead of schedule, even with some last-minute shuffling, and our ladies looked *stunning* - we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Truly they made our day!!

Ashley and Candice were pretty good, I guess my criticism is that maybe they were tired or just ready for a vacation since it’s so close to Christmas. But it didn’t really feel like they cared too much about making sure the bride was happy with her hair and makeup. They just did their job and left but didn’t seem very into what they were doing. I guess it’s a job for them and clients come and go but on your wedding day you want people to make sure you feel special and we weren’t really getting that vibe. Also when they arrived at the hotel room they were asked to put on a mask because of the new omicron variant and we had older ladies in the room as well as a newly pregnant lady. One of them put on a mask but the other one did not. They were nice people but these issues caused us some concern.

So happy with how my hair and make up turned out on my wedding day! The team at Glam Nola is super easy to work with. I live out of town so unfortunately didn't get to do a trial run but everything turned out great on the big day! The team came to our hotel room and had everything taken care of. Would definitely recommend Glam Nola.

Candice and Ashley did a fabulous job on hair and makeup for my bridal party and myself (bride) the day of the wedding! I am glad we chose to work with them and would recommend them to anyone. The only hiccup I had working with them was for my hair and makeup trial I scheduled the morning of my bridal shower. Since brides always come first (totally fair), my trial was almost canceled, but we compromised on doing just my makeup even earlier in the AM to fit me in. That said, if you really want to use your trial for a wedding event/photos on the weekend that’s NOT your wedding, just be prepared in case it doesn’t work out like you planned! And know that the day of your wedding, you’ll be their top priority :)

We were recommended to GLAM Nola after having a bad experience elsewhere and what a great recommendation that was. I’m so happy we went with them for my bridal makeup, by bridesmaids’ makeup, and the mothers’ makeup. All together they did 14 services in ~4.5 hours. And they did it amazingly. I had the MOST GORGEOUS bridal party!! Amanda & Erica were quick, professional, and exceptional artists! We had Amanda on hair and Erica on makeup. They took charge and got us done and on time! I had my trial with Amanda so she did both my hair and makeup and she’s amazing! So professional and so easy to talk to! And Candice and Ashley are so responsive with our emails/texts. Candice and Tracy were wonderful! My bridesmaids and MIL had their hair and makeup done and everyone looked beautiful! Tracy put me, a non-makeup wearer, at ease. All my girls loved their hair/makeup, including myself. I don't normally wear much makeup, and they helped keep a natural look for my wedding day. Candice was amazing! She did my makeup for my New Orleans elopement and was so easy to talk to, and executed my vision perfectly with little direction from me and a couple of inspiration photos. I've hardly ever liked professional makeup I've had done in the past, but Candice made me feel so beautiful and made my day that much more special. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! :)

I had Glam Nola do my makeup for my wedding 02/28/2021. They are so amazing, I can’t thank them enough for how understanding they where due to some unforeseen events, where I had change the dates.I hadn’t done a trail run, it was the first time meeting Candice on the day of, but let me tell you she was the most professional, talented and sweetest makeup artist /hair stylist ever!! Getting exactly what I had envisioned, if not exceeding that right off the bat! I 100% recommended them!!
