op talking about them! When we went in for our tasting box, the store was adorable. The staff member at the register was an absolute doll and made us feel welcome. The only “downside” I could think of was that communication via email with Chantel was not always prompt – I would make sure to call the store for timelier communication. It was a little difficult to get the cupcakes ordered initially due to communication, but they turned out great! Also, we had agreed on a cake stand to be rented. The incorrect stand was brought, so I did not know it was from this store. I thought the venue had supplied it, so I did not know I was supposed to return it. I was not able to receive my $40 rental deposit back due to this.

uick with Chantel. She took our vision for both events and made them come to life. Also, it was incredibly affordable. Would definitely recommend and use again!

e been nice to see a sketch of the cake before we got it because the design was not what I envisioned and was very underwhelming. I had a meeting scheduled in June with Chantel and when I showed up to the shop she was not there. We ended up meeting with somebody else and I just think it wasn't all communicated right.

Styled dessert displays will be trending more for 2020 and 2021 weddings so I can't wait to see what Chantel and her team can create for my clients! Another one of my favorite things about this bakery is that they can, and love, creating custom designs and specialty wedding cakes so that you're not seeing the same plain cake over and over again. Their attention to detail is truly amazing and I'm always happy to see when a couple has selected them for their event because I know they won't be disappointed!

The combinations she has available is endless. Chantel worked great with the venue and my florist to coordinate the timing of delivering the cake. The cake and cupcakes we had went so quickly. We were so excited to introduce our friends and family to Glass City Cupcakes, so I don't know why I was surprised come the end of the night and the dessert table was cleared. They were a major talking point during the reception and we saw more than a few people loading up goodie-bags to take home with them. The cupcakes themselves are absolutely gorgeous and I am still amazed at how creative the shop is with some of the flavors they create (the S'mores cupcake was the biggest hit - the marshmallow on top is actually toasted to a perfect golden brown!). Chantel was incredibly easy to work with, so kind, and she was able to fill in the gaps with her own creativity and imagination whenever necessary. Overall it was an amazing experience and our day wouldn't have been the same without those desserts. We will be finding any excuse we can to utilize the talents of Chantel and Glass City Cupcakes (and stop into the adorable shop for a coffee and cupcake whenever possible). We cannot recommend Glass City Cupcakes enough!!
