Glass Hill Venue

Loved getting married at Glass Hill! It's a beautiful venue with spectacular outdoor views. I love that they offer package deals with a selection of vendors as it made planning from across the country so much easier (and all the vendor options were really great)! The indoor space is also beautiful and using the bridal suite to get ready in made the day so easy! My only complaint is that the venue is a bit remote if you (and/or your guests) are not local to central Virginia; but we knew that upon booking and expected we'd have guest fallout because of location...But it is definitely something to consider if you have guests looking to fly into larger airports to save on flight costs (they'll have to add about 3hr drive time to their travel plans). Our guests appreciated that we had some printed directions to get back to the hotel due to the lack of cell reception in the area.

There are so many great things to say about Glass Hill, and nothing negative to say! My husband and I got married there in May and it was simply a perfect day. The staff was super helpful and responsive in answering all of our questions leading up to the wedding. They truly desire to meet the vision of your day and serve you to the best of their ability. They have multiple pricing options that can fit most, if not all budgets. They also provide many beautiful décor options, like the table numbers and sweetheart table! They care about every detail of the day, and it showed so beautifully on our special day! Glass Hill provides a warm, welcoming, and beautiful place to celebrate the covenant of marriage. On top of everything, we just had the most amazing pictures that I have received so many compliments on. They are my dream wedding pictures with the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains surrounding us. Highly recommend this venue!! <3

We just got married here two days ago and I couldn’t wait to write a review. Glass Hill is the best venue hands down. You cannot beat the view, the bridal suite, the groom suite, etc. The staff is incredible. They are responsive, accommodating, and always so helpful. The vendors they recommend and work with are amazing, as well. I truly can’t say enough good things. Our day was truly seamless and I’d pick this venue a million times over. Thank you Glass Hill for everything.

Glass Hill Venue was the BEST decision we made for our wedding. The assistance they provided in the all-inclusive package was absolutely wonderful and necessary for a perfect day! They made my day run smoothly and special! I wish I could relive my day every day!

From the second we exited the car to tour the location, my husband and I knew this was the venue for us. A stunning mountain view was high on our priority list, and Glass Hill delivered ten-fold. From the bridal suite to the bar or the grounds, every bit of this venue is ready to be photographed. It's the perfect amount of sophisticated within it natural setting, and it's large windows showcase the view even from within the reception hall. The day-of was exactly as I had pictured it thanks to the staff at Glass Hill and their excellent network of vendors. Our guests are still raving about the venue 6 months later and every single picture we have is stunning. We could have not asked for a better day!

Hi everyone! After almost 4 months of digesting our wedding in November 2021 I am here to give my review as a type A, opinionated bride with some high taste. I can't help it, it's just who I am. I priced nearly every wedding venue in Virginia because I'm just annoying and we came to the conclusion we could get the most bang for our Mountain View buck in Lynchburg and landed at GHV. We went with the 125 person wedding package at Glass Hill where things and included in that 18ish-k price and you choose from select vendors. We loved our vendors especially A Little Party, Purple Door, and Bloom. WE REGRET NOTHING. If you don't want the package and commitment to particular vendors, just pay the space fee. Let's get into the day of because this venue on November 6th, 2021 was the talk of the town with our wedding guests, especially my boojie extended family. I can't tell you how many complements we received on this venue, the view, everything. All of owners and staff at GHV are amazing. An incredible group of women that take pride in this family legacy with staff that clearly enjoy working for them and execute. (Shout out to the girls that moved an antique couch for me and sat behind it so it wouldn't fall during my bridal shots, THE MVPS I LOVE YOU LADIES). Our chairs were arranged just how I wanted for the ceremony, tables set up beautifully, clean, well catered to and kept up with grounds. They give professional but quick, thoughtful responses over email. They also love dogs, so clearly good people lol. This venue is gorgeous, especially in the Fall. The ceremony space arbor is HUGE but I'm telling you DECORATE IT, spent the money, its worth it because in your closer ceremony pictures you lose the view depending on the photographer lense. The details in this reception space aren't over the top, its a simplistic, organic, romantic vibe and was great for someone who wanted to make into my own space where my guest could see many of my personal touches. The reception space definitely can speak for its own, but in my opinion it needs a little something to spruce it up inside which I thought was really fun to do with flowers, tablescapes, mantle emphasis, and playing around with the table arrangements. The few things that I did NOT enjoy - You are not allowed to have a flame on your tables or in the space, no matter how much you beg lol - I wish the bridal suite had a more antique, timeless feel to it, and not as much as a farm house/ rustic one (this is a personal aesthetic opinion, but wasn't a deal breaker for me) -I wish the tractor that they use to maintain the land had been tucked away a little better because it showed up in my wedding video THATS IT, those are my only personal CONS in an ocean of PROS This place is amazing, my husband and I felt our wedding was worth every penny, especially the venue and the women that came with it. Unless you are a bride that HAS to have candles BOOK IT. AND A Little Party for your planning. There it is, your review from the hard to please bride, detail oriented Bride. Thank you so much GHV.

I am quite speechless when it comes to Glass Hill Venue. It was a dream come true from start to finish and that’s the pure truth of my wedding story. I took one look into those mountains and knew it was everything my heart wanted and had not found yet. What I keep telling people when they ask about our wedding is “there were answered prayers in every detail,” and Glass Hill Venue was certainly one of those answered prayers. Diane, Megan, and Hannah are so kind and thoughtful. From our first inquiry to the very day itself, they worked to ensure we were taken care of and had the most perfect day. We were sold on their warmth alone, but the venue is altogether enchanting. From the deep blue mountains to the breathtaking arbor, the gorgeous bride and groom suites to the warm and inviting ballroom. We had the most magical day and felt surrounded by beauty and grace at Glass Hill Venue!

Every inch Glass Hill Venue is absolutely beautiful! The mountain range is stunning, and for rainy day alternatives their reception hall is breathtaking. The staff is equally as wonderful and were so easy to work with. Their kindness is unparalleled and any bride would be lucky to work with such amazing people on their special day. Glass Hill Venue is AMAZING! My husband and are so happy that we chose this venue for our wedding/reception... Our wedding was a dream come true! Not only is the venue GORGEOUS but the people who run it are equally as wonderful. The owners of the venue showed us so much support and love as we had to postpone our initial wedding day due to COVID. They were there every step of the way and helped us seamlessly transition to a new date. You can't go wrong with Glass Hill Venue!

From the very first email requesting a tour, the owners of Glass Hill have been extremely helpful, professional and punctual. They continued to be wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process; not to mention, the venue is simply gorgeous. Glass Hill exceeded my expectations!

I can not sing Glass Hill’s praises enough. They were such a blessing to me and my husband as we planned and re-planned our wedding amongst Covid. They were flexible, generous, and always responsive to every question and request. The wedding venue is absolutely gorgeous and has the most beautiful view. They are worth every penny!

While Glass Hill is certainly a beautiful venue they were not accommodating to the changes enforced by the state during the COVID-19 pandemic. I had a wedding scheduled for July and was expecting well over the 50 people limit. Due my concerns for safety and the unpredictability of the laws and regulations changes being made, I decided the best option was to cancel. I had put down half of the payment required and they refused to give a single cent back. This was very upsetting because I was had not used their venue once nor had they done any work toward my wedding. So I lost $3000 for them to now gain an opening during a prime wedding season. During any other circumstance, I can completely understand them not giving a refund. However, I could not have predicted six months before my wedding that a pandemic would occur. Nor could I have predicted what the laws and regulations would be at the time of my wedding. I feel like this was very unfair as some other venues where offering brides at least their down payment back but Glass Hill Venue kept all $3000 for doing nothing.

Glass Hill was amazing to work with. Very organized and they made the whole experience from start to finish very stress free. Highly recommended.

My husband and I were married here in December 2018. Glass Hill provided the perfect ceremony and reception site! The mountains are lovely and the facilities are beautiful. Diane was great to work with and we would highly recommend Glass Hill to anyone!
