We were very happy with our experience working with the staff at GHCC, during the planning stages and especially day of. The food was delicious and a true highlight. The ability to seamlessly transition our outdoor ceremony to an equally stunning indoor space without missing a beat showcased their flexibility and dedication to making our rainy wedding day perfect. Our wedding day was a dream come true, thanks to the incredible team behind this extraordinary venue.

We stumbled on Glastonbury Hills CC online which to our surprise actually listed and was upfront about pricing on their website and their beautiful virtual tours of the reception room really got us excited! They were the most reasonably priced and beautiful in our opinions from the other venues we reached out to. Once we toured (the only venue we toured) we were immediately sold on the venue, we toured on a rainy December day, walking into the reception room and we were still left breathless on how beautiful the venue and grounds were. The outdoor ceremony area, the panoramic views of the hills and trees, the hardwood floors, the vaulted floor to ceiling windows, the chandeliers, the chiavari chairs, the bridal suite (only can be used for an hour before the ceremony), even the bathrooms were so nice. The banquet staff were all very attentive in the year and half plus leading up to the wedding to answer any of our questions through email or phone. Jackie did a great job decorating with our decor and we even had a chance to look over everything on rehearsal day. Allison was our coordinator for rehearsal and the day of the event and she was amazing and so friendly and very helpful throughout - our families couldn’t get enough of her high energy and positivity! Our guests loved the venue and loved all the food. We did the Premium package which came with a delicious and beautiful cake from Modern Pastry. The only very small negative I would say is they are not a big fan of signature drinks which are pretty mainstream elsewhere, however, it is really such a minor thing that doesn’t impact your day. This venue when you hear about wedding venues in CT seems to be underrated but you should tour it, you will not be disappointed, especially at such a reasonable value!

We did both the reception and ceremony at Glastonbury Hills. The ceremony site is a small grassy area with a pergola; they typically do about 100 chairs leading up to the pergola, with additional seating on a raised porch in the back. For our wedding, the porch had a tent, which was great for our elderly guests who needed shade. The porch also offers a great view of the ceremony, which was great for our videographer! The reception venue is beautiful and the massive windows got a lot of compliments from our guests. The food was AMAZING-- everyone was expecting tiny portions but they were huge. My husband and I both got the prime rib and could barely finish it, but it was so good! And the price per plate was still less than what I had seen at other venues. Overall, this is a really great value for your money, and their responsiveness and flexibility made everything run very smoothly. Highly recommend!

on, their amazing events coordinator was responsive, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Without her, our wedding would not have been nearly as perfect. From answering the tiniest of questions in the months leading up to it, to ensuring that all of our guests were lined up for our grand exit, she was with us every step of the way. The food was delicious, the bartenders made fantastic drinks, the bridal suite was great. If you are looking for an elegant, all-inclusive wedding venue, look no further. Book GHCC now!

our, but that is the Covid-world that we currently live in. From the very beginning of the planning process, Allison and Frank were super accommodating and helpful. As mentioned, my husband and I did a FaceTime tour with Frank and he showed us all of the venue and answered any questions that we had. When the world started to open back up again, they brought us in for an 'in-person' tour and we fell even more in love with the space. The main banquet space (I believe it's called the Sky Room) is just magical, particularly at night when it's all lit up. I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful space for our big day. In the months leading up to our wedding, Frank and Allison always responded to all emails/questions that we sent them (which there were many of lol) in a timely manner and never made us feel like we were bugging them with all of our requests. The day of the wedding, having Allison around honestly felt like having a best girl friend around. She helped me with my bustle when my mom and sister couldn't quite figure it out, brought me appetizers when I looked hungry, and made sure I always had a cocktail around. The last thing worth mentioning is that my husband and I are STILL getting compliments from our friends and family about how good the food was, some even saying it was the best wedding food they have ever had. If you are considering GHCC for your big day, we highly highly recommend it!

The large windows provide a beautiful setting and we were lucky enough to have the sun shining through for us. They provided necessary items like tables, chairs, tablecloths, napkins, etc. They even have table numbers and vases for your bouquet if you’d like to use them. Beyond that, all the catering and bar service is there too. We got so many compliments, including that it was the best wedding food our guests ever had (food is a huge part of your wedding!). The staff is truly amazing. They were responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, from our first meeting to when we picked up items the day after. They love what they do, and it shows in each interaction. Everything went smoothly too, we were at ease knowing the day was in such capable and experienced hands. We are so thankful we had our reception at the Glastonbury Hills Country Club – it was our best day ever and they played a huge role in helping us achieve that.

I cannot say enough about Donna! She was there all night to make sure that my husband and I had a drink in hand and whatever else we needed or wanted. She made sure to wrap our dinners and dessert and even filled up to-go candy bags for us from the candy bar. We’re beyond appreciative and would highly recommend this venue for both ceremony and reception!

She helped decorate the venue and truly was able to capture my vision with the little direction I gave her. She made sure my husband and I ate and even helped hold my train when I walked down the aisle. We are still receiving rave reviews on the food as it was great, not your typical wedding food. Everyone made us feel so warm and welcome. I made numerous phone calls and emails leading up to the wedding and they were quick to respond and so helpful. I can not think of one complaint! The venue is newly remodeled and beautiful!

re completed, I knew I was going to get married there. The big glass windows give a perfect view of the greenery around. The gazebo was perfect for an outside ceremony. Besides from being an absolutely gorgeous venue, the staff is amazing. I mostly worked with Frank and Jackie. They will both go above and beyond to accommodate your needs to make sure that you have the wedding of your dreams. Frank is very reasonable with pricing and responds in a very timely manner. On the day of my wedding, Jackie made sure that every little detail was taken care of. She is absolutely amazing!!! She is a great listener and very attentive to details. She will make sure that your wedding will run flawlessly and it goes exactly how you planned it. I just could not have chosen another place to have my wedding. Again, kudos to the staff at the Glastonbury Hills Country Club. You all are fantastic!!

We had 200 guests at our wedding reception and everyone fit comfortably at their tables. We met with Frank and Allison who walked us through all of the details of the wedding reception from table linens, to food and centerpieces. We actually ended up using GHCC’s centerpieces. We also attended a food tasting (which was awesome – the food was ALL great, it was so hard to narrow down our reception menu). The week of the wedding I dropped off our favors, and any other small decorations we had wanted to include on our special day. Allison took the time to go through where we had wanted everything placed. Our wedding was AMAZING, and we owe a HUGE thank you to everyone at GHCC. Our wedding went so smoothly; it was an absolutely perfect day. We got married at a church down the street, and then came to GHCC for our photos as our guests went to cocktail hour. While getting photos done Allison and Donna took care of us and the bridal party with drinks and Hors d'oeuvres. My husband and I are so glad we had our wedding at GHCC and have so many great things to say about the staff, food, and venue itself. Our guests were thrilled with the venue, food, and staff as well!

The floor to ceiling windows are perfect for a wedding during ANY season. Once I booked them I was VERY impressed with how responsive the people there were. Being a rather anal-retentive bride I found it very comforting that I could call either Frank or Jackie and they were both super responsive and ALWAYS had an answer. They helped me organize, decide and ultimately made the entire wedding go very smoothly. On the day of the rehearsal dinner I dropped off a large tote box filled with everything needed for the centerpieces. I briefly described how I wanted them to Jackie and she jotted notes down the entire time so that she wouldn't forget any detail. On the day of everything was PERFECT. The staff there was completely supportive and on their game (even brought food out for us while we were taking pictures!) , the tables were set up exactly how I wanted them, the service was flawless and I seriously could not have asked for a more organized and dedicated staff. I was so happy with the level of professionalism and dedication that Frank, Jackie and their staff exhibited that I would absolutely recommend their services to anyone who is looking for a place to host their reception, or any other function for that matter. In addition, the food was incredible. Everything was very consistent and they even provided my grandfather with a low sodium meal at no extra charge since he has had issues with his heart. I highly recommend this venue!

The only reason for a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating is that we added a chocolate fountain to our wedding package and it malfunctioned. The staff did try to fix the problem 3 times, however, we were never able to enjoy it. The money was returned to us, but it didn't make up for not having the fountain at our dessert table. The grounds are beautiful and made for lovely pictures. We couldn't have asked for a better venue!

Frank and Jackie really made the difference. They were amazing and there to answer every question we had leading up to the big day, and they were amazing the day of the wedding, coordinating every detail of the ceremony and reception. The food was amazing, and the servers were courteous to all of our guests. There are a few things that I would reconsider now that we've had a chance to look back on our vendor choices, but Glastonbury Hills is definitely not one of them!

an it and she was INCREDIBLE! We just got married on April 14, 2012 and I wanted to review them because they did an amazing job! She did all the little things so it would run smoothly. We had a candy bar and brought all our own jars and candy but then the day of, Jackie put pillar candles behind the candy bar with purple rock type things in the bottom and it looked GORGEOUS! I loved every second of my day and a big part of that was due to them. They were fantastic and I would tell anyone to use them! And the package we got included open bar and the cake from a delicious bakery for only $76 a person before taxes and gratuity. An amazing deal for a wonderful place!

We were also pleasantly surprised by their wonderful service, efficiency, and organization. The Country Club staff was straightforward about prices and choices, and scrupulous with counts and meal choices. They made sure we were well-cared for on the night of our wedding, and helped make sure everything was loaded into the car and even wrapped us some wedding cake to enjoy that night. I was really impressed by the care and concern they took, and would give the Country Club my highest recommendation.

guests. My only complaints would have to be that the dance floor was HOT (need more AC or better ventilation) and they ran out of my favorite wine before the end of the night, but everything else was stellar!!

ving money on flowers. We were off-season by one week, and he waived the two-weddings-a-day thing to allow me to be the only event of the day and have the time slot we wanted. My mom is still talking about how wonderful everyone was that day - I have a grandmother with special dietary needs and she felt like she had her very own waitress! Every server there was on the ball, courteous, and willing to do WHATEVER was necessary, whether it was getting me a drink, fixing my bustle, making sure my flowers stayed fresh, etc. Wonderful. If I had to do it again, I'd absolutely pick the Glastonbury Hills Country Club. In addition to the spectacular day, they were among the lowest priced we found in CT and saved us even more money by offering to let us use their centerpiece bowls, etc. Plus, have you SEEN that view?!

e week of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, the Bridal Party was offered hand-passed cheese, crackers, etc and beverages while we were taking bridal party photos and waiting to be introduced. Everything was in the place I expected it to be: the seating arrangements, flowers, the cake, the Guest signing table, and the gift table. The wait staff did an excellent job serving the food in a timely manner. I have nothing negative to say about the venue. Not to mention it was very reasonable priced!
