Our wedding reception was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating. Working with Renee was a little stressful because she would take awhile to respond to us and we had to cal...
l her several times to get a response, but other than that she was very easy to work with. The food was incredible 😋. We wish we could've skipped the bar package but in order to use Glen Oak, a bar package was required, which I had never heard of. We asked if a cash bar was a possibility and were told no. Alcohol isn't necogotiable at all during peak months.
My husband and I enjoyed the venue and the beautiful setting!
Overall I loved having my wedding at Glen Oak. It provided a beautiful background for both my ceremony at the gazebo and inside for my reception. The covered patio provided an awes...
ome dance floor for the DJ leaving the inside more quite for those guests who didn't want to dance just talk. Working with Janet the manager was difficult. Everything we asked for was a no. You only get a 5 hour bar package and they refuse to close during dinner effectively ending your night at 10pm as the ceremony has to be at 430 according to them. She refuses to let you pay only dinner package pricing for older kids (like teenagers) who can't drink. The food was really good though. The cake table is in a small hallway where no one can come see you cut the cake, and the card box is shoved back in a corner and no one knew where it was, nor did I ever get to see it as the bride. Janet insisted my Pastor didn't need a mic but no one except for the first couple rows could here him. I still loved my wedding but there were things that bothered me.
Couldn't have been more pleased with Glen Oak!!! We had originally planned our ceremony outside by the gazebo, however, on the day of our wedding day it was downpouring. Janet was ...
extremely wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make our wedding experience exceptional. She arranged our ceremony on the outside patio with the covered pavillion, coordinated with wedding agent to have the right chair covers considering they couldn't arrange the outdoor folding chairs on the patio and decorated the patio beautifully for our unity sand ceremony. During the entire ceremony we completely forgot that we had our ceremony on the patio because it was just that amazing! The food was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to assist us with anything we needed throughout the night. I recall one staff member who was so kind so bring back my dinner plate to the head table so that I didn't spill anything on my gown. She was so sweet! All our guests ranted and raved about how beautiful the venue and delicious the food was. I couldn't have asked for a better venue, staff and banquet manager! Thank you all for making our wedding a day to remember for a lifetime! I told Janet when she asked me how everything was if we could do it all over again at Glen Oak. lol! I highly recommend this place!!!
Great facility, and banquet manager is great to work with. Very good food and well maintained grounds. Our only issue was that the drinks seemed watered down and when we asked for ...
shots from the bartender she wouldn't give them to us. We paid for the premium liquor package, so we were disappointed.
Janet couldnt have been better, she is on the stricter side but it was so worth is and every detail was amazing
My experience being a bride at Glen Oak was amazing! The banquet manager was phenomenal. She was so helpful and really knows how to make you feel like you're the only bride! The fo...
od was amazing, everyone raved about it. I would recommend the salmon! The room is beautiful and also opens up to a balcony covered by an awning (only open in the warmer weather). We got married at the gazebo outside the building. It was nice that our guests didn't have to travel in between the ceremony and reception. It was all in the same place. The gazebo was beautiful. Overall, my experience was amazing. I wouldn't want to get married anywhere else!
I had my ceremony and reception at Glen Oak. Everything went great. The staff were very nice and the food was excellent. Guests had a great time. I would definitely recommend!
We would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a beautiful place to have either just their reception or both reception and ceremony. We had both there, with the ...
ceremony being in the outside gazebo and reception in the upstairs room. Everything was absolutely georgeous and the food was amazing all for a reasonable price. Janet the banquet manager was such a pleasure to work with and helped us out a lot!
The food was Amazing, the coordinator was super helpful and nice, she had alot of ideas to help with planning and making things run smoothly. my only complaints are with the server...
s and bartenders. When our wedding party would go up for a drink they were told to go to the back of the line even if they were getting a drink for the bride or groom. the bar closed a half hour earlier than they were supposed to and were extremely rude when a bridesmaid asked for a glass of water! Everything other than that was absolutely perfect!
The overall setting of Glen oak is beautiful. However after your payment is in, the service becomes less satisfying. The waitresses dont understand how much money you pay for grea...
t service... instead they are completly rude to guests.
Great venue! Our wedding was absolutely lovely. One word of caution...though the venue *technically* seats up to 200 people, you'll in all likelihood be much happier capping it at ...
about 150. This way, tables aren't crowded, and everyone can be inside the main dining area, rather than stuck outside on the porch and unable to see the bride/groom.
Janet Ciminelli, their banquet manager, is efficient and great to work with, and answers questions promptly. Also, if you don't mind banking on nice weather, there is an outdoor gazebo where you can be married (we had perfect weather, which definitely lends some bias to my review and experience!).
I loved the Glen Oak Golf banquet facility!! Janet was great and helpful! The prices were very reasonable. It was so nice to have the place to ourselves, which was a very nice p...
