The venue is just stunning and they even just did a gorgeous update to the library space. There is so many good things to say! I love the bridal (maybe change the decor upstairs for the ladies spaces since the pompous grass isn’t everyone’s style but it wasn’t so much for it to really matter) and grooms suite too. If you are looking for a charming, romantic, with an airy and bright feeling this is your venue.

The venue is so elegant and historical, but it also feels like home for that reason. You also get the whole weekend when you book, so there's no rush moving your decor in and out of the venue. We got in on Friday and got everything out on Sunday. During my wedding planning process, the Lyceum had a turnover of staff at the end of 2024, including the event coordinator, who is in-charge of day-of Wedding organizing. I was nervous at first that things would not go according to my plan because of this, but that is the complete OPPOSITE of my experience. Shelby, the new coordinator, is extremely professional and on the ball. I hadn't known her for long until I knew I could trust her with my day. Don't hesitate to trust her with yours! They also renovated the library right before my Wedding, I was the first to experience it. It is STUNNING. So light and airy and feminine. The sunlight streaming in was gorgeous for my pre-ceremony pictures. The photos I have attached speaks for itself. It was a fairytale day! Whether you want an indoor or outdoor ceremony, the wedding will be perfect if you choose this venue. Do yourself a favor!! It's worth every penny!

before our wedding. And my husband and I can honestly say that we are actually really happy they went bankrupt because we wouldn't have ended up here! Our wedding date was surprisingly still available, it was kismet. We had contracts with our other vendors and they so kindly worked with us, allowing us to keep them. Addi seriously helped make our day so perfect and run extremely smoothly. If there were any hiccups, we haven't heard a peep about it! She was always so quick to respond, helpful and made us feel at ease throughout the entire process. Addi put a lot of time and energy into making our day perfect, and we cannot thank her enough! We loved how unique the Lyceum is. It's stunning both inside and out. We loved the historic charm of it, and got so many compliments from guests at how they loved how different it was from so many other weddings they've been to. We honestly didn't set much up for wedding decor as the building itself offered more than enough beauty on its own. Just some simple flowers in mason jars, and Addi put some votives around as well. There are already twinkle lights on the ceiling too, so really what more could you ask for?? You honestly would never know that it's a few years shy of being 150 years old, the building is kept in such great shape. The bridal suite was so pretty. Tons of natural light, and the decor was perfect. It was very spacious too. I had 7 bridesmaids, 2 moms and a grandma up there and there was definitely room for more. There is a pub downstairs for the guys to get ready, and we also held our rehearsal dinner down there as well. The area for outdoor ceremonies is just magical. The wedding tree offers such a pretty backdrop, along with lots of trees and bushes that make it quite private back there. The lawn is fairly flat, and our flower granny was able to walk down with no issue! If I could give 10 stars I would! You can tell the care that is put into the Lyceum, and the beauty of it is timeless. You won't regret having your wedding here.

he look we wanted. Our guests loved exploring the old building, which the Lyceum staff keep in great condition. The reason I ended up booking the Lyceum was that after reading reviews of venues who make promises to help you coordinate details on the day just to fall through or go missing, I looked hard for a venue I thought had trustworthy staff/coordinators. The Glendale Lyceum definitely met this criterion for me- Addi the Event Coordinator gave me the impression she was as invested in the success of our wedding as I was. She's an excellent business woman in that she does not overpromise, but she definitely over delivers. She put so much energy into helping our friends and family on the day of, helping me coordinate details before the wedding day, and anticipating needs we didn't know we had. Such a hard worker, a talent, and a generous person. After Addi and the Lyceum's beauty, our favorite part about getting married here was the getting ready rooms. The bridal suite has a kitchen and provided plenty of space for my 8 bridesmaids, moms, sisters, stylists, and extra friends. My bridesmaids and I noticed how clean everything was right away when we arrived. The groomsmen had a "pub" to get ready in- a huge room in the basement that gave them plenty of space to spread out, play video games, watch sports, make food and drinks, and get ready for the day. Many venues we toured gave little attention to the groom's getting ready space, so we really appreciated such a memorable room for the men to spend the wedding day. The Lyceum has a list of preferred caterers to choose from, and we loved our choice, the Village Pantry. Food was delicious and service even better. Other features we appreciated: plenty of parking, wheelchair lift, ability to bring our own alcohol, allowed to set up decorations the day before, close to Glenwood Gardens for pictures, plenty of bathrooms, speakers to play music if you don't have a DJ, We felt worried the dance floor wouldn't be large enough, but our wedding of 190 had a crazy dance floor and we had plenty of room.
