f schedule with time to do touch ups! After 16 hours, my hair and make up had seriously not budged and everyone commented on how natural and perfect my it was. Desiree easily understood what I wanted and took excellent notes and pictures at my trial to nail without stress on my wedding day. They were easy to contact by email and remained flexible as needs and timeline changed throughout the planning process. I highly recommend Glitz and Glam for your special day beauty needs!

than other vendors I had looked into, but after a terrible trial experience at another spa/salon in the area I was willing to pay more for a higher quality of service. Glitz & Glam was recommended to me from another bride that I know who booked their services for her wedding in Newport, RI. Jessica was very helpful with working with different requests on my contract as I unfortunately had a lot of question marks for members of my family regarding their interest in getting services before the wedding. I actually did not have a trial at all with Glitz & Glam (though I would highly recommend others to) and they totally nailed my look to absolute perfection! The morning of the wedding, Jessica and her team arrived and got right to work in my hotel room. We were done with time to spare (extra important on a wedding day), and every girl looked just flawless. Even my mother-in-law who had a lot to manage the day of our big day had some time to relax and simply enjoy the moment. The weather on my wedding morning was a bit muggy and rainy/overcast. I have fine, wavy hair that frizzes immediately with just slight rain. Jessica kept meeting my requests to touch up these areas/and "soften" whatever parts of my hair that I felt needed a little more attention/love (I was truly panicked given the weather and the fact that I've never once worn extensions and picked my wedding to be the first time to experiment with them). Additionally, my makeup was THE MOST BEAUTIFUL application I've ever seen on me (and I frequently get my makeup done for events). I did airbrush/false strip lashes and it lasted all day and all night without issue. My only recommendation would be to allow for Venmo or PayPal payments if they are even paid a couple/few days in advance. It was a little stressful to make sure I had extra cash on hand for this service the morning of, as I preferred to make sure all my vendors were paid before the wedding day. Not a major concern or issue, more or less just something I had to add to my Day Of 'to-do' list. Jessica, thank you for making my bridal dream look come true. nd makeup were AMAZING at their craft. They did such a great job and were very open on what they feel looked best when I just could not come up with the words. They were amazing and everyones hair looked so flawless and all the makeup was beautiful! Alex was great (makeup artist), who was able to take the pinterest examples I loved, and literally put them on our face. She took what I said when I was looking for a natural look for my girls and exceeded my expectations. She was even so kind to take a few more minutes and last minute add on's such as lashes, and another face to be done, and was so open to making sure whatever I wanted got done. Brenna, was AMAZING with the hair! There were so many different types of hair, from super thin and straight, to thick and curly and big and beautiful, I was blown away at how she took each picture and essentially completed the look I dremt of on my girls and myself. She was unbelievable! However, my heart hurts for the talented ladies like Brenna and Alex, because whomever I was communicating with thru email the month before the wedding until the wedding day, was rude, unprofessional, hid behind a computer and did not stay face first, and was focused on the prices of everything, when I simply was asking around timeline and planning questions. If I was stressed about ANYTHING on my wedding day it was the hair and makeup. Why? 1. She gave us a timeline I did not agree with, so moved the start and end times to where I thought was necessary, based off of the time frame she needed for each girl (45 minutes for hair and makeup) and then wanted to argue with me over her concern of 45 minutes not being enough time spent on each girl, when the ladies who did so wonderful on the wedding day, were done almost an hour early! 2. The table side manners were not there for WHOMEVER I was communicating with via email. She was just RUDE. Stating things like " I just wanted to make sure we were both on the same page seeing i had one time and the coordinator had different times from her end." When the coordinators times, were the slot time lengths that she provided previously. 3. I believe I was charged the day of price for my trial, so future people thinking of using them, please make sure to get trial prices ahead of time. By the time I noticed, it was too late to go back and correct it. 4. The prices were OUTRAGEOUS! Paying $30 for a cancellation fee was insane. My MOH would have been charged $84 for a braid crown, and her natural Cape Verdean curls out was just ridiculous to us. 5. I sent the contract in, and then was told about these other fees like Sunday Fee ($30), Travel fees for each stylist and their Travel Fees (I think I paid $150) for travel and stylists when I live exactly 23 miles from the salon itself seems a bit ridiculous to me. Literally, the only thing I was stressed about on my wedding day was the hair and makeup. Which that is one of the biggest parts of the day which sets the tone for pictures and all else. I would NEVER recommend Glitz and Glam because I would not want them getting the stress and aggravation I did. However, If you can figure out a way to hire the stylists independently, then I'm all for it because Brenna and Alex I would recommend to ANYONE! :)

py with both hair and makeup. Mel picked some great colors for my skin and I loved the lipstick she used for me. One the wedding day, she made sure she bought me a new stick of it so that I could have it for touch-ups throughout the day. I really appreciated that! Jess is fantastic with hair. She is so quick and the work that she does it amazing. I had a few tweaks I wanted to do after the trial and she easily fixed it to be exactly how I wanted it. I slept with my hair in the night of my wedding and still in the morning, it looked awesome. I cleaned it up slightly and everyone I saw the next day couldn’t believe how well it held up. I am so happy I booked Jess and Mel!

After my trial, I felt like the makeup and hair needed some tweaking to fit my overall desired look and on the day of the event, I gave them that direction and they adjusted their plan perfectly, everything came out great. I couldn’t have been happier with the result and would definitely recommend them!

arly which for a Bride you rather be early than late, and the hair and makeup came out amazing! I have my mother and myself and 6 bridesmaids and we all had are hair and makeup done. Everyone was happy with how they looked and the airbrush makeup lasted all night I didn't have to touch up anything! Would highly recommend booking these girls for your wedding!

me. My makeup and lashes lasted all night, despite some rain that afternoon and humidity all day long! The best part was that my mom, step-mom, mother-in-law, and 4 bridesmaids were all thrilled with their hair and makeup. Everyone looked like themselves (not overdone) and felt comfortable, which was important because most of us don't usually wear much makeup. Also, my mom and I had a great time going to the salon for trials a few months before the wedding - totally worth doing if you're considering it. Overall it was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services!

g day & changed up the makeup & they killed it! My mother, mother-in-law & bridesmaids all had very different hairstyles & makeup styles & they all came out beautiful! One of my bridesmaids got her hair done & she didn't love it so Jess did it over again for her until she did love it. My 4 year old flower girl got her hair done & didn't complain once about it hurting & even got her "makeup done" by Mel! (And she loved her hair!) I HIGHLY recommend Glitz Glam, they are awesome!!!

ng. The trial we worked through multiple hairstyles and makeup layers and all was perfect. They are very professional and want to make sure that you get what you WANT for YOUR day. They worked through the 7 girls incredibly quickly and with great attention to detail. They are also a great value even adding the cost of transportation.
