Gold Mountain Manor

I really wanted a wedding in the woods and Gold Mountain Manor had the perfect cute cabin feel and was in our budget. Betsy's manor exceeded all expectations, we had our close family stay with us at the manor for the weekend. Ceremony/reception area is intimate and beautiful. Betsy was patient with all my questions and replied promptly. She coordinated the wedding beautifully and sweet to all our family at the manor. Breakfast was provided Sat and Sun mornings and was delicious. Betsy and her team did and amazing job and if I had the chance to do it all over again, I'd still pick Gold Mountain Manor!

Gold mountain manor was absolutely amazing! Betsey and Peter made our wedding and our 4 day stay absolutely incredible and totally worth it! Even with the few hitches they kept everything running very smoothly! I would absolutely recommended them for anyone's special day! Our wedding was beautiful and they made planning it so much easier! Really felt like family and home up there ! And we hope to be spending our one year back here !

Gold Mountain Manor is an amazing venue! Rustic, elegant, simply stunning. Our wedding was small (around 50 guests) with ceremony and reception outside. Cathy, the owner, was the best! She and her staff did everything and more. We had décor to set up, however, as stated in the contract, we asked a family member to put things out. While all the rentals, food, etc were extra costs that we paid in addition to the site fee, we didn't mind! Costs were actually less expensive than it was in Riverside/Orange County were we had also looked to hold our wedding. Quality was over the top with all our vendors and we were very impressed. Loved having the ceremony & reception in the same place. Loved how Cathy and her staff had an "emergency contingency" for rain (as it was a possibility) and her honesty was appreciated. Lucky for us, Mother Nature cooperated! Don't hesitate to book your wedding here girls!! Bring your vision and Cathy and her awesome staff will bring it to life! She has great recommendations for food and photography with everyone in Big BEar so no worries about arriving late. Again, thank you so much Cathy and staff for an amazing and perfect day!!

I recently got married at Gold Mountain Manor and was unhappy with the way myself and my guests were treated. The location is beautiful which is why i was willing to pay so much extra for the location. During the planning process, we were nickled and dimed for every little thing. And things that were supposed to be handled by the onsite coordinator were not handled. The coordinator was rude to me (the bride) on my wedding day. She was also extremely rude and harsh to my guests. Several of my guests mentioned to me that the coordinator had made comments to them through the day that were uncalled for. We had a plan for the wedding day of what was to be set up and where and the coordinator did not take care of what we had planned. We had games to be set out and only one was set out. We had decorations to be set out and she did not take care of it so we had several decorations that were purchased for the wedding and were never used. Also, the chairs were not set out for any of our guests during appetizers, so all our guests stood for over an hour waiting for the chairs to be set out. I actually had family start setting up chairs even though we were paying the coordinators staff to do this. When my family started setting up chairs because they were tired of standing the coordinator tried to stop them and said some rude comments. I did not appreciate being nickled and dimed for everything, not getting what was paid for, and having myself and my guests be treated like intruders into the coordinators location. I would not reccomend this place based on the way everyone was treated alone. No bride should be stressed out and treated like an idiot the day of her wedding.
