any real direction of where, what I wanted to include in regards to props, or even what I was going to wear. I gave Ali full permission to drive the look of this photoshoot and she did NOT disappoint! She recommended that we rent items from one of her preferred vendor's list who brought out the items and set them up and it really made the photoshoot look extra professional and romantic, Ali even helped me pick out the dress I wore. I couldn’t have planned this photoshoot by myself or even put something half as good together. Ali really has an eye for detail. As for our wedding, Ali did a great job planning out the day to make sure I got to take photos with all my family which I know was super difficult because my family is HUGE! But she did an awesome job wrangling everyone. It made it super helpful that she communicated with my venue on our timeline and to make sure we had the perfect light for our romantic photos. We have already received our sneak peek photos and I am SO in love! And I am just blown away at the attention to detail and attentiveness of not only her but her second shooter, Erica. was set for 6/20/20; however, we were forced to push back 1 month to 7/25/20 because of COVID fears. Ali was very accommodating with this adjustment and had all sorts of ideas for how we can make things work without compromising our contract. Our photos came out so well. If you are a bride looking for light and bright photos without heavy filtering or editing, Ali is your gal!! We wanted to look as natural as can be and she NAILED IT! We were so nervous about being uncomfortable in front of the camera, but Ali felt like a good friend and told us exactly what we needed to do to feel comfortable and look great:) She is also so thorough. Our wedding was in my in-laws backyard, and Ali actually met with us and our day-of-coordinator about 1 month prior to see the home and come up with our timeline. I could just keep listing off praises for this gal. If photos are a priority to you...hire Ali and you won't regret it.

er team! It was an easy choice, and we were not disappointed in any way. We had to work our engagement session around a random snowstorm, and then had to work our wedding around a pandemic! Both turned out better than we could have even imagined thanks to Golden Arrow Photo! Wedding planning can be very stressful (then add a pandemic), and throughout the whole process, Ali was super flexible and a big support! We just got all our wedding pictures back, and we are so in love with all of them! Golden Arrow Photo captured our day so perfectly. to go, we made the difficult decision to instead just get legally married with the hope to be able to celebrate in a more informal setting with family and loved ones at some point in the future. Therefore, we spent that weekend reaching out to vendors, making cancellations, informing guests, etc. After re-reading/reviewing our contract with Golden Arrow Photography, we realized we would only be able to recover our final payment made since her contract protected her security deposit (half the total cost). We were a bit frustrated with ourselves since we had just made our final payment early, but we assumed it would be no trouble getting that second/final payment back, not only due to the contract, but particularly given the circumstances. We were unfortunately mistaken. Despite her contract only securing her security deposit, this photographer indicated she could not reimburse our final payment. She did try to convince us to do alternate sessions or some other solution, however, in a time in which we were already dealing with enough, what we most needed was what we could get back financially. We even consulted legal advice to ensure that we had, indeed, interpreted the contract correctly; the attorney assured us we had. This vendor was the only vendor who did not honor her contract. She was paid in full despite not having ever rendered the service we paid her for. All of our other vendors were more than accommodating, whether a small business or not, so we were grateful to have had such good vendors otherwise, but did feel the need to warn other couples of this experience in particular. In an industry full of talent and during such uncertain times, I would strongly advise you look elsewhere. If you do choose to go with her, make sure to read your contract carefully and know that she may not uphold her end, as she unfortunately did not do for us.

ned in one phone call. I was devastated because my venue canceled my wedding and Ali put me at ease, saying she would work with whatever I want to do, and she did. She split her time, she met me on her birthday for our first look photos, and she gave me everything I could have possibly wanted and more. She is professional, caring, talented and honest. From the first phone meeting we had with Ali, we knew that her business was set apart from any other photographer we had spoken to. This is her passion, and it shows through in anything and everything she touches. My husband and I knew going into this that we needed to find a photographer that would make us feel comfortable in front of a camera. After all, we aren’t photographed every day. Ali went above and beyond to help us through our wedding photos, ensuring the most flattering and best angles for the both of us. We weren’t posed as two stiff beings, but more so taught how to be natural looking, in an enhanced way. My husband and I received our wedding gallery last night, and we are in complete awe of the moments that Ali and her assistant were able to capture of us on our most important date this far in our lives. Ali uses natural light to enhance her photos, which is something I absolutely love. Our portraits are romantic and timeless. The photographs that we have of the two of us are truly stunning. And that isn’t a word that I would generally use to describe myself, but I can proudly say that as a fact. Ali created stunning, natural photographs that we will have and cherish for the rest of our lives. Our family portraits and photographs of just us two are absolutely breathtaking, we are actually having a hard time picking ones to print and frame! Our only complaint about Ali is that she took too many amazing photographs and now we have to create a shrine in our home! Haha! But truly, Ali found a way to take photos that help make everyone look flattering in them. We have a large family, and we had a rowdy groomsmen crowd at our wedding. find a date to meet for our engagement photos. She turned around our album very quickly since we told her that we were trying to get our Save the Dates out very soon. Once we saw the photos from that shoot, we knew we had made the right choice. On our wedding day, she and her assistant Erica showed up on time and ready to go. She had told us beforehand about everything she would need and her planned schedule for the day. Neither my husband nor I are used to being professionally photographed, but she was kind enough to coach us through everything. Not only was she professional and SO talented, she did everything with a smile on her face! Like I told her on our big day, we are so unbelievably grateful that she was a commanding yet calm voice throughout the day - helping to keep us on schedule but making sure everyone was still enjoying themselves. One last thing, she got a shot with the look on my husbands face as my father and I started walking down the aisle, and I truly can't thank her enough for capturing the single, most unforgettable moment of that entire day.

otos where you will feel your most confident. On top of all of that, she is an amazing person. She is flexible, patient, and fun. She is so friendly and easy to talk to! My husband and I, like most people, feel awkward in front of the camera. Ali made us feel comfortable throughout our engagement shoot, and by the time it came to our wedding we felt like pros! She powered through a very busy schedule and getting over being sick to make sure our wedding day was perfect. My husband and I opted to do a first look, and one thing I wasn’t sure about was how it would feel to have other people there. Ali and her second shooter, Staci, set it up perfectly, and once we saw each other, we really weren’t aware of them taking pictures. We have a large family and had a decent sized bridal party, but she made the formal portraits efficient and fun! Every photo from our ceremony was perfect and she captured so many fun moments from our reception. The detail shots are so thoughtful and captured every piece. I will cherish getting to relive our day through these photos. Our pictures are absolutely incredible - we could not be happier! I wish I could have Ali photograph every major event for the rest of our lives.

Ali really works with you to make sure that they capture the true you and your spouse/family/friends. She followed my bridesmaids and I on an adventure so that we could take photos in a fountain/waterfall...and she even played the "Friends" theme song for us during that shoot. It's the little things that go a long way and their customer service is amazing. It took about 2 months to get our photos, but we weren't in a hurry and they were worth the wait. The quantity and quality was wonderful! I am so glad we chose to go with the 2 photographer option. You can't beat the price and it is well worth it when you see your photos. k. Before ever meeting with her, she was very quick to respond to e-mails. She spoke with confidence, excitement, and so much patience when answering the PAGES of questions we had for her! When we finally met with her, she welcomed us with a big smile and so much joy for getting to capture our special day. Ali was flexible, fun, and full of creative ideas. She was very clear on the parameters of each possibility; hiding nothing from us (none of those hidden fees, thank God!), all while being fully aware of our budget and sensitive to our special wants and needs. Being a Chinese-Jewish wedding, where each culture has it’s own complicated language and traditions, Ali and her staff weaved in and out of crowds swiftly and purposefully. We were at ease, knowing we could trust her keen eyes and talent. During our engagement photos, my fiancé and I had much difficulty trying to find a backdrop that was altogether beautiful, and “us.” It was difficult to articulate what we wanted so we just pointed at some pictures and said, “that!” Within a matter of seconds she suggested a garden near us and shot our pictures in 30 minutes, including a change of clothing and multiple different sceneries, portraits and candid shots. She waisted no time, and helped us feel safe and silly throughout our whole time with her. Ali knows what she is doing, she knows the area, and she loves her art and people. Golden Arrow Photography has been a deep blessing to us and our families. Weddings are full of action, and it’s so hard to be present physically and mentally for every detail of that day. Time seems to go by so quickly and we forget to stop and enjoy the crazy, silly, awkward, bitter-sweet, and fun times that each moment brings us. Ali has captured all of these precious moments.
