Taneshia’s foray into the wedding planning business began with a favor. A sorority sister, who is also a photographer, asked for her support with a wedding she was working at. After helping out at several more weddings, Taneshia knew that this was the place for her. From this realization, Golden Engagements was born. Today, she helps couples organize their dreamy days all over the Nashville area.
This planner understands that every love story deserves its own celebration. Taneshia has carefully built three coordination packages to suit wherever you may be in the planning process. If you have the bulk of the work finalized, but want someone to hold the reins on the day, she is happy to offer month-of coordination. Partial and full planning plans are also available. Some of the services offered by Golden Engagements include timeline creation, rehearsal coordination, budget management, and floor plan creation.

I’m sharing my experience in hopes of preventing others from going through what I did with Golden Engagements. I paid $500 for wedding coordination that was never delivered. Despit...
e months of communication, nothing was organized, no planning was done, and no team ever showed up. When I voiced my concerns, I was met with excuses and defensiveness instead of solutions.
To make matters worse, my husband and I had supported this business long before our own wedding. We volunteered our time, drove to multiple weddings across Tennessee, and worked hard — all without being paid. We believed in the vision and wanted to help, but that loyalty was not returned.
Golden Engagements was removed from our wedding before the big day because nothing was being handled. Yet the owner still refused to refund the money, even though not a single service was provided. It felt like our kindness was taken for granted and our investment was dismissed.
I would never recommend Golden Engagements. This was not just unprofessional — it was completely unethical.
