About this vendor
Golden Heart Weddings Alaska is proudly owned and operated by lifelong Alaskans who don’t just work here — we live here. We were raised in this state. We understand its seasons, its light, its distances, and its hidden beauty. That depth of experience allows us to create weddings that are not only stunning, but thoughtfully and realistically planned.
Since 2012, we have helped couples from Alaska and around the world say “I do” in some of the most breathtaking settings imaginable.
Our home base is Fairbanks, Alaska’s Golden Heart, and we travel statewide to craft meaningful ceremonies wherever your vision leads — beneath the Northern Lights, beside alpine lakes, on remote mountain overlooks, at historic roadhouses, on dog sled adventures, along rugged coastlines, or in elegant indoor venues.
We offer:
• Professional minister and wedding officiant services
• Intimate elopement packages
• Adventure wedding experiences
• All-inclusive wedding packages
• Full wedding planning and coordination
Whether you are planning a just-the-two-of-you elopement or a larger celebration with family and guests, we guide you through every step. Alaska is magnificent, but it requires local knowledge, careful timing, and thoughtful logistics. From travel coordination and vendor referrals to weather contingencies and guest planning, we help you navigate it all with calm confidence.
Many of our couples are planning from out of state. We understand the unique challenges that come with that and pride ourselves on clear communication, organization, and steady support.
Our approach is warm, personal, and professional. We believe your ceremony should feel authentic, meaningful, and deeply reflective of your story.

When we moved to Fairbanks several years ago, neither of us imagined that a rescue dog would lead us to the love of our lives!
We met through a mutual friend and quickly discovere...
d that we shared a passion for rescuing animals.
Unfortunately, with our busy work schedules, neither of us felt we could give a dog the attention it deserved on our own. So we came up with a solution. We would adopt a dog together!
Enter Benji, our lovable golden retriever mix, who somehow managed to adopt both of us right back. Somewhere between sharing dog duties, walks, and adventures with Benji, we realized we weren't just falling in love with our dog. We were falling in love with each other.
When it came time to get married, we knew Benji had to be part of our special day.
Golden Heart Weddings helped us plan a beautiful, intimate ceremony along the banks of the Chena River this August. We wanted something simple, meaningful, and personal, and that's exactly what we got.
Of course, Benji was our most important wedding guest! Technically, we had a human witness to make everything legal, but as far as we're concerned, Benji was the only witness who really counted.
Our favorite moment came right after our first kiss as husband and wife. Together, we tossed a special ribbon-decorated "wedding stick" into the river for Benji to retrieve. Watching him happily swim after it was the perfect way to celebrate the little guy who brought us together in the first place.
We loved that Golden Heart Weddings embraced our unconventional wedding ideas and helped make the ceremony feel like it was truly ours. There was no pressure to make our wedding something bigger or fancier than we wanted. Just two people in love, a beautiful Alaska river, and one very special dog.
We couldn't have asked for a more meaningful beginning to our married life.
Thank you, Golden Heart Weddings, for helping us celebrate our love story, especially the four-legged matchmaker who made it all possible!

HLY recommend their services!
Golden Heart Weddings Alaska made our wedding at Chena Lakes Recreation Area absolutely beautiful. In early May we were married right on the beach with the tall birch trees along t...
he lake and the last of the melting ice sitting out in the middle of the water. Canadian geese wandered along the distant ice, squawking away, and swam through the newly opened water. It was such a uniquely Alaskan setting and exactly what we hoped for.
Our ceremony was short, sweet, and incredibly meaningful. Even though it wasn't long, there wasn't a dry eye among our family and friends by the time it was over.
One of our favorite details was our request that everyone wear their favorite or "best formal" pair of Xtratuff boots. It made the day feel even more like us and gave everyone something to smile about.
Everything came together beautifully, and we couldn't have asked for a more memorable place or ceremony to begin our marriage. We would absolutely recommend Golden Heart Weddings Alaska to anyone wanting a personal, heartfelt, truly Alaskan wedding.

Golden Heart Weddings Alaska made our wedding day in Denali absolutely unforgettable.
We were married last fall beside the Nenana River with our closest family and friends, and th...
e setting could not have been more beautiful. Getting everything down to the riverside was no small task. The wedding team carried the ceremony supplies, flowers, and even our wedding cake about a mile down the trail so we could have the wedding we had envisioned right beside the river.
Everything was handled so professionally, and we never felt like we had to worry about the details. Our flowers were gorgeous, the wedding cake was delicious, and the entire setup felt personal and special. You could tell how much care and effort went into making sure everything was ready when we arrived.
What impressed us most was how willing the Golden Heart Weddings Alaska team was to go the extra mile, literally, to make our day happen. A riverside wedding in Denali takes some planning and work, and they made it look easy.
We are so thankful we chose Golden Heart Weddings Alaska and would absolutely recommend them to anyone dreaming of a beautiful Alaska wedding, especially if you want something a little adventurous and outside the ordinary.
Thank you for giving us such an incredible wedding day!
We could not have asked for a more memorable Alaska wedding experience. We were married on Ester Dome at midday in January. The sky was perfectly clear, and we could see Mount McKi...
nley in the distance. The view was absolutely incredible.
It was definitely cold. Our hands were freezing during the ring exchange, and as soon as the formal photos were finished, we hurried back into our coats and warmer boots. Even with the cold, everything was beautiful and completely worth it.
Huseyin Biceroglu Photography was wonderful to work with. He helped us with poses and kept making jokes throughout the photo session, which helped take our minds off how cold we were.
We also really appreciated the suggestion to hold our wedding up in the hills. It was warmer than it was down in the valley, and the view could not be beat. Thank you for helping make our wedding day so special.

We chose to elope at Creamer’s Field, and it was honestly the perfect decision. We wanted something simple, private, and beautiful — and that’s exactly what Golden Heart Weddings A...
laska gave us.
Our ceremony took place inside the viewing shelter, overlooking the snowy migratory waterfowl area. It had snowed the night before, so the whole landscape looked like a winter postcard. And we were lucky — it was just before the cold snap hit, so the weather was crisp but comfortable for our little group.
It was just us, Jathen’s brother Malik, my best friend Mei, and our sweet baby girl Aaliyah. Even with such a small group, everything felt so special and heartfelt. Minister Elise was incredibly warm and made the ceremony feel personal — not rushed, not generic — truly ours.
Why we’re so glad we hired Golden Heart Weddings Alaska: I was stress free and easy. Not a big production., GHW to took care of everything we needed, from mailing the license, after the ceremony, to helping us choose the ceremony spot. It let us just show up and focus on each other.
Minister Elise made us feel celebrated.. Even though it was an just a small elopement, she made it feel like the most important wedding in Alaska that day. We never felt like “just another couple.”
Getting married with a toddler present is not easy. We felt likenap times, snacks, and diaper breaks was no big deal… and they did it with patience and smiles.
If you’re considering eloping in Alaska — especially if you want a day that feels intimate, peaceful, and full of meaning — we can’t recommend Golden Heart Weddings enough. The ceremony was short, sweet, and absolutely perfect. We’ll treasure this memory forever.
A Halloween Dream Wedding Brought to Life — Better Than We Ever Imagined!
From the moment we reached out to Golden Heart Weddings Alaska, we had high hopes — but what we received ...
on our wedding day went far beyond anything we could have imagined. We wanted a Halloween-themed wedding that was elegant, fun, and true to who we are as a couple. Golden Heart Weddings didn’t just understand our vision… they elevated it.
The planning process was seamless. Every question was answered, every detail was handled, and every concern was eased with professionalism and genuine care. We felt taken care of every step of the way. The way the team blended Halloween magic with a romantic, heartfelt ceremony was absolute perfection. It never felt gimmicky or over the top — it was classy, personalized, and beautifully atmospheric.
On the day of the ceremony, the Golden Heart Weddings team went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated. They coordinated the décor, the timeline, and all the little finishing touches so that we didn’t have to worry about anything except each other. They incorporated our themed elements with such thoughtful detail — candles, dark autumn colors, our spooky-yet-elegant music choices — everything felt intentional and beautifully curated.
If we could tell other couples one thing, it would be this:
Hire Golden Heart Weddings. You will never regret it. No matter how simple or elaborate your ideas are, they will listen to what you want and make your day feel deeply personal. They don’t just perform weddings — they create experiences. And they care about their couples in a way that shows every step of the way.
We walked into this hoping our wedding would be memorable… and we walked away with something truly magical. Our Halloween wedding wasn’t just a ceremony — it’s now a favorite memory we’ll talk about for the rest of our lives.
Thank you, Golden Heart Weddings Alaska, for making our dream wedding real.
Our wedding day was, in a word, perfection. Marrying at the Fairbanks Ice Museum was a fairytale come true. It was important to us to honor Adrea’s grandparents, who married 75 yea...
rs ago to the day. Knowing her grandmother adored ice sculptures made the venue feel sacred and special, and we felt their presence with us all day.
We leaned into the Alaskan setting—picture us in gorgeous fur hats and insulated gloves! It was so cozy and unique. The moment we exchanged rings was incredibly moving; the ring Adrea now wears belonged to Sherman’s great-grandmother, a piece of history that made our union feel deeply connected to our past.
What truly made this day so carefree and magical was our incredible wedding team, Golden Heart Weddings. From start to finish, they handled everything with such grace and professionalism. Their dedication allowed us to be fully present in every moment, from getting bundled up to our first dance under the shimmering ice sculptures. We literally did not worry about a single detail. They understood our vision perfectly and executed it flawlessly.
We are so grateful to Golden Heart Weddings for giving us the truly once-in-a-lifetime experience we dreamed of. Thank you for making our special day everything we hoped for and more!

joy to be able to combine our wedding and honeymoon into one unforgettable trip, especially since we live in a tropical climate and were looking for a unique escape.
Your expert planning was essential in making our day perfect. The ceremony on the slopes overlooking the White Mountains was a dream come true, with a clear sky and calm winds. We particularly appreciated all the advice you gave us on dressing appropriately for the frigid -20°F weather, which made all the difference. Thank you for helping us create our perfect "secret wedding." We couldn't have done it without you!

wedding from Australia could have been overwhelming, but the staff—our amazing wedding officiant, photographer, and planner—made the entire process seamless, stress-free, and truly unforgettable.
From the initial planning stages, their communication was excellent, putting our minds at ease with their expert guidance and attention to every detail. The officiant crafted a beautiful, personal ceremony that perfectly captured our love story. The photographer was a joy to work with, making us feel completely comfortable despite the chilly temperatures and capturing stunning, once-in-a-lifetime photos that we will cherish forever.
The team transformed the remote cabin into a fairytale setting, with every detail considered to create the romantic ambiance we had envisioned. We are so incredibly grateful for their professionalism, warmth, and dedication. They didn't just plan a wedding; they created a magical, intimate experience in the heart of the Alaskan wilderness. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, and we wholeheartedly recommend Golden Heart Weddings Alaska to any couple seeking an extraordinary and memorable celebration.

Our wedding day in July was a dream, with a cloudless, sunny sky that beautifully highlighted the breathtaking setting. The cabin overlooked the green hay fields and rolling hills of Fairbanks, creating a picturesque and uniquely Alaskan backdrop for our vows.
The Golden Heart Weddings team provided impeccable service every step of the way. Their communication was excellent, making sure we were always informed and involved in the planning. We were especially appreciative of our photographer, who was not only a joy to work with but also provided great posing tips to help us and our guests feel comfortable in front of the camera.
