he lake and the last of the melting ice sitting out in the middle of the water. Canadian geese wandered along the distant ice, squawking away, and swam through the newly opened water. It was such a uniquely Alaskan setting and exactly what we hoped for.
Our ceremony was short, sweet, and incredibly meaningful. Even though it wasn't long, there wasn't a dry eye among our family and friends by the time it was over.
One of our favorite details was our request that everyone wear their favorite or "best formal" pair of Xtratuff boots. It made the day feel even more like us and gave everyone something to smile about.
Everything came together beautifully, and we couldn't have asked for a more memorable place or ceremony to begin our marriage. We would absolutely recommend Golden Heart Weddings Alaska to anyone wanting a personal, heartfelt, truly Alaskan wedding.

e setting could not have been more beautiful. Getting everything down to the riverside was no small task. The wedding team carried the ceremony supplies, flowers, and even our wedding cake about a mile down the trail so we could have the wedding we had envisioned right beside the river.
Everything was handled so professionally, and we never felt like we had to worry about the details. Our flowers were gorgeous, the wedding cake was delicious, and the entire setup felt personal and special. You could tell how much care and effort went into making sure everything was ready when we arrived.
What impressed us most was how willing the Golden Heart Weddings Alaska team was to go the extra mile, literally, to make our day happen. A riverside wedding in Denali takes some planning and work, and they made it look easy.
We are so thankful we chose Golden Heart Weddings Alaska and would absolutely recommend them to anyone dreaming of a beautiful Alaska wedding, especially if you want something a little adventurous and outside the ordinary.

It was definitely cold. Our hands were freezing during the ring exchange, and as soon as the formal photos were finished, we hurried back into our coats and warmer boots. Even with the cold, everything was beautiful and completely worth it.
Huseyin Biceroglu Photography was wonderful to work with. He helped us with poses and kept making jokes throughout the photo session, which helped take our minds off how cold we were.
We also really appreciated the suggestion to hold our wedding up in the hills. It was warmer than it was down in the valley, and the view could not be beat. Thank you for helping make our wedding day so special.

Our ceremony took place inside the viewing shelter, overlooking the snowy migratory waterfowl area. It had snowed the night before, so the whole landscape looked like a winter postcard. And we were lucky — it was just before the cold snap hit, so the weather was crisp but comfortable for our little group.
It was just us, Jathen’s brother Malik, my best friend Mei, and our sweet baby girl Aaliyah. Even with such a small group, everything felt so special and heartfelt. Minister Elise was incredibly warm and made the ceremony feel personal — not rushed, not generic — truly ours.
Why we’re so glad we hired Golden Heart Weddings Alaska: I was stress free and easy. Not a big production., GHW to took care of everything we needed, from mailing the license, after the ceremony, to helping us choose the ceremony spot. It let us just show up and focus on each other.
Minister Elise made us feel celebrated.. Even though it was an just a small elopement, she made it feel like the most important wedding in Alaska that day. We never felt like “just another couple.”
Getting married with a toddler present is not easy. We felt likenap times, snacks, and diaper breaks was no big deal… and they did it with patience and smiles.
