With a broad collection of classical, jazz, and uniquely arranged pop music covers for strings, the Golden Scroll Soloists have been wowing Northeast audiences with a variety of styles for 17 years. Similar in style to the Vitamin String Quartet of YouTube fame, the Golden Scroll Soloists meld pop, classical, and jazz into an upbeat string quartet experience. Golden Scroll Soloists provides live string music (quartets, trios, etc.) for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and events. We have been perfecting the art of live wedding music since 2005, and we have a large and unique list of both classical and contemporary music. Most of the arrangements on our music list of over 2000 songs are written by and for our musicians. We have many videos as well as a "radio station" on our website- you can peruse our favorites, or just turn on our station and listen in the background! Our 17 years of experiences means that not only can we provide the best quality of music, but can provide seamless coordination with you, your officiant, planner, and other vendors. Since we were hosting an outdoor ceremony at costal and the weather can be unpredictable, other musicians we contacted have many requests such as minimum temperature while shed is required if there's the sun. slow to respond to initial inquiries, Marianne was fast, thorough and so nice and easy to deal with. The whole process was seamless, organized and fun - especially getting to help pick the music played for our event! The day of the event, the three musicians were on-time, dressed professionally and a joy to have! The music played for the ceremony could not have been more beautiful, and during dinner and cocktail hour, provided the perfect level of background music to help contribute to our outdoor, magical garden vibe. Many of our guests had fun playing “name that tune” to the pop hits that were played! When dinner was over and the musicians quietly and quickly stood up to exit, our entire party applauded them.
All in all, if you are looking to offer beautiful music at your wedding and an easy process (and what bride doesn’t want this!), I could not recommend any live string musicians any more than Golden Scroll Soloists!

In the lead up to our wedding, I had been playing the song we used for my entrance over and over while imagining walking down the aisle. I had really wanted to make sure I entered at a particular point in the music. When I explained this to Marianne, she made sure there would be enough time for my vision to become a reality and even came up with a plan to loop part of the song in case there was any delay to make sure I would enter at the right moment in the song. This plan worked perfectly and I am so thankful for the level of expertise and professionalism of the Golden Scroll Soloists that made our wedding day pure magic.

They had a large list of songs to choose from in all different categories - classical, contemporary, movie songs, religious songs, etc. and we could choose whichever we wanted! We actually also asked them to play a song that wasn't on their list, and they did that no problem! We asked them to play a song during our unity candle lighting during our wedding ceremony quietly in the background while our officiant spoke. They played at the perfect volume while he spoke, and then when he stopped speaking during the candle lighting, they immediately rose the volume of their instruments to fill the silence. They had amazing transitions and were so professional the entire experience. Marianne reached out to me to meet a couple of months before the wedding to finalize details, which was so helpful and I appreciated her making that effort. I would absolutely hire them again!

My husband and I both have backgrounds in music and wanted to ensure we had professional quality musicians at our ceremony, and the four instrumentalists completely exceeded our expectations. sation about the vision for our wedding ceremony. She was knowledgeable and friendly and sent me samples of the pieces that the string quartet could perform. We wanted music for just the ceremony (as people were seated, prelude, hymn and recessional) and were were very impressed by the amount of both classical and contemporary pieces in their repertoire. When we booked the Golden Scroll Soloists, it was so much fun putting together our music using their online site (and it made planning from a distance very easy). We found selections that reflected our eclectic love of classical, rock and movie soundtracks.
On the wedding day the quartet showed up promptly (even during the snowstorm we had) and set up. Although I didn't hear all of the music (I was in the bridal suite getting ready), my family and friends had rave reviews of the music. During the ceremony, they remembered all the important parts to play and really set the tone for such a special moment.

A couple of instances with them have led me to praise them greatly, for example , one of the persons that previously was there was amidst transitioning leadership and was unable to contact me and this made me very worried! When I finally got into contact with him not only was he extremely empathetic and apologized , her offered me a total complete refund ! Nevertheless I denied the refund because I still wanted to work with them but I was so happy with that customer service. Coordinator
Marianne has nearly two decades of experience playing violin for and planning weddings, and she is the Event Coordinator for the Golden Scroll Soloists. She also has over a decade of experience as a professional church organist every Sunday, meaning she understands the complexities of religious wedding ceremonies as well as secular ones. In addition to playing and coordinating for the Golden Scroll Soloists, Marianne plays violin regularly with the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Springfield and Waterbury Symphonies.
