With a broad collection of classical, jazz, and uniquely arranged pop music covers for strings, the Golden Scroll Soloists have been wowing Northeast audiences with a variety of styles for 19 years. Similar in style to the Vitamin String Quartet of YouTube fame, the Golden Scroll Soloists meld pop, classical, and jazz into an upbeat string quartet experience.
Golden Scroll Soloists provides live string music (quartets, trios, etc.) for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and events. We have been perfecting the art of live wedding music since 2005, and we have a large and unique list of both classical and contemporary music. Most of the arrangements on our music list of over 2000 songs are written by and for our musicians. We have many videos as well as a "radio station" on our website- you can peruse our favorites, or just turn on our station and listen in the background!
Our 17 years of experiences means that not only can we provide the best quality of music, but can provide seamless coordination with you, your officiant, planner, and other vendors.

Kevin and his team at Golden Scroll Soloists were amazing at our wedding on October 21, 2023!!! I had first heard of Golden Scroll after seeing them perform at my brother's wedding. After input from my brother and reading reviews online, we reached out to Kevin asking if we could book a quartet. Kevin made the entire process of working with him very easy with how organized he is and how straightforward the process for booking him and his team was. The online song form was very helpful with helping us think about what songs we wanted when, and Kevin was very flexible with making song choices for us for the pre-ceremony music when we were having a harder time coming up with options. He had a lot of prior experience working with our venue which also was very helpful in making the wedding a success. My bridal processional song was A Thousand Years and it was truly beautiful. For our recessional song, my husband and I both wanted something that reflected our common interests so we chose the Legend of Zelda Overworld Theme. It was AWESOME!!! We had lots of guests coming up to us afterwards saying how much they loved hearing Golden Scroll, especially the Zelda theme. We still have guests talking to us several months later about how much they loved the string quartet! Kevin and Golden Scroll Soloists were wonderful and we wholeheartedly recommend them!!!

Kevin and his team were such a pleasure to work with leading up to our wedding day! He communicated with me consistently, made sure we were on the same page about planning and timeline, and was incredibly friendly and accommodating. On our wedding day, our guests were blown away hearing the live music from his string ensemble, it truly added such elegance and romance to our wedding. We would absolutely recommend golden scroll soloists if you are looking for a string ensemble for your wedding, you won’t regret it!!
We had the pleasure of having Golden Scrolls perform at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! From the very beginning, upon hearing their Spotify we knew they were the best, but their communication and organization was outstanding and unmatched compared to any other vendor. Kevin was extremely kind, attentive, and took initiative to ensure all aspects of the ceremony would be taken care of, that we didn’t even realize was important and no one had flagged to us, like a microphone and sound system for our officiant. They were organized and responsive to all our questions, ensuring that every detail was covered and putting our minds at ease. They even gave suggestions and helped us decide between song choices.
Their performance was perfect and the string quartet created an enchanting atmosphere during the ceremony, playing a mix of Bridgerton type, classics, jazz, and elegant pop that perfectly matched our vision. They truly added touch to the moment. During the cocktail hour, their music continued to impress our guests and continue to add value to our aesthetic.
Overall, Golden Scrolls exceeded our expectations with their kindness, professionalism, organization, and talent. We highly recommend them for any event needing sophisticated, elegant, thoughtful music. Thank you for making our special day even more memorable!

GSS was very easy to work with and they did an amazing job performing the ceremony music at our wedding! They are very responsive and will help you choose music that flows nicely if you request their help! Their website is very easy to use and highlights the many songs they can play.
GSS was incredible! Not only did they learn all our favorite songs (from a very unknown musical artist mind you), they even created one of a kind score sheets. They were professional, on time, and sounded incredible. Everyone was crying happy tears as soon as they started playing at our ceremony. Very reasonable price for an unforgettable performance
We absolutely loved the GSS string quartet! They performed during our cocktail hour and were incredible. Their client portal is very easy to use and they have a very extensive music library, ranging from contemporary to folk music. They truly delivered!

GSS was one of the easiest vendors we worked with for our wedding. The prices were great, their music library is huge, and our meetings with them were super helpful. They even created a custom arrangement for a song we wanted that they didn't previously have in their library. My daughter was married last weekend at The Omni Mt. Washington. Golden Scroll Soloists trio played for the ceremony and cocktail hour. From the moment we spoke with Kevin, he was very professional, responsive and easy to work with. He helped with song choices for all phases of the ceremony. Their song list is extensive and you can listen to sound clips on their website. We chose classical pieces for the ceremony and contemporary songs for cocktail hour. The music was elegant and beautiful. I would highly recommend them.

We hired Golden Scroll Soloists to perform at our wedding and we could not be more happy with their performance and professionalism. GSS has a very extensive and diverse repertoire to chose from (with links to sample performances!) so you can tailor your music selection to your liking depending upon the event. Their online library selection is full of great options from modern contemporary pieces to classical and everything in between. The day of our wedding, their music was beautifully done and performed to perfection. I mean, live music is always fun but we were simply blown away at the talent Kevin and his group have. We received many compliments during and after the event from our guests about how lovely their performance was; the sound quality was perfect and their execution was flawless. It made the day even more special and elegant.
If you are thinking about hiring a string trio/quartet, or honestly any live music for your event, I would 1000% recommend Golden Scroll Soloists. They are worth every penny, I promise - you will love them! I would give them 6/5 stars if I could, seriously.
Oh! And I forgot to mention, they often have concert performances and events of their own, so if you want to sample their live music before hiring them, or even just want a lovely date night, go see them in concert! You will have a blast!

Golden Scroll Soloists were absolutely amazing for our wedding! We had them play at the ceremony and during our cocktail hour. It was important for us to have some live music at our wedding since we chose a DJ instead of a band, and the Golden Scroll string quartet was the best way to incorporate this. They were so helpful and professional throughout the planning process. They have a HUGE selection of music that we chose from that really brought our personalities into our wedding day. We had them playing a variety of music -- the Beatles, movie themes, Disney songs, ABBA, Guns N Roses, pretty much anything you want! They even learned a new song for us! All of the music sounded beautiful. Highly recommend Golden Scroll Soloists!

You will not regret adding a string quartet from the Golden Scroll Soloists to your wedding ceremony. From our initial call with Kevin to the outdoor, day-of ceremony at the Wadsworth Mansion in Middletown, CT, working with the Soloists was fun, efficient, and hassle-free. Most importantly, the music sounded beautiful, adding an elegance and serenity to our ceremony that was absolutely what we’d hoped for. We asked Kevin to arrange two songs that were not in the Soloists’ repertoire (yet), including the entrance song. He did so perfectly. From a more practical perspective, Kevin was professional and responsive over email. We recommend the Soloists without reservation and, if we had to do it over, would choose the Soloists again.

Kevin and the Golden Scrolls team were so helpful to our wedding - having them as the ceremony music was fantastic and they made the whole thing personal to what music we wanted. We had a violin and a cello and picked out songs for different parts of the pre-party music, including a song that (for a nominal fee) they set up and learned for us!! Of course day of the wedding not everything goes to plan, and the ceremony was a little delayed - no problem they continued to play the backup songs we discussed and all worked out ! They were easy to communicate with and I was so happy we booked them (you will be too!).

Very responsive and professional. By far one of the best decisions we made was to contract them for our daughter’s wedding. Our guests still talk about their music during cocktail hour and how wonderful it was . The mix of modern music kept our guests engaged and entertained . They really added that extra special touch ! We absolutely loved working with the Golden Scroll Soloists for our wedding at Beavertail State Park! They were very easy to work with and had a very simplistic portal to select songs for our wedding. Kevin was even able to arrange a special requested song for us! We absolutely loved having them play at our wedding and couldn’t have been happier!
Golden Scrolls were great! We hired them to play before and during our ceremony and during our cocktail hour and they were a big hit. The quartet did an amazing job with the church music (also helped us with recommendations for certain sections of the liturgy where we weren't exactly sure what would go well) and were also willing to work with me to adapt a song they had in their library for my entrance song. While my husband and I didn't get to mingle during the cocktail hour, we could hear the music and it was beautiful! They have such a great mix of classical music, classic hits, and contemporary songs and you can pick and choose exactly what you'd like them to play. Super responsive and so easy to work with. My husband and I only have wonderful things to say about the Golden Scrolls! Kevin was very friendly and easy to work with from beginning to end. We initially heard them play at a friend's wedding and they were fantastic and then stumbled upon them again while I was researching music for our own wedding. We were thrilled by the variety in the song selection lists, and even though they didn't already have the song I wanted for my procession, they ended up creating a beautiful rendition of it for a very reasonable price. We asked them to play during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and for our first dance, and we got so many comments from our guests about how much they enjoyed the music. Golden Scroll Soloists really added to making our wedding day special and we highly recommend working with them!

Kevin and his musicians at Golden Scroll did an amazing job at our wedding! We had them play rock & pop music with some Taylor Swift at the beginning of our ceremony and during the cocktail hour. But as a musician myself, I also threw some custom arrangements at them - they played Cody Fry's "I Hear A Symphony" and Disney's "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" beautifully for our bridal party processional and bridal procession and then flipped a switch and brought the energy for Vulfpeck's "Animal Spirits" during our recessional. I agreed with other musicians in attendance at our wedding when they said our string quartet was fantastic!

We loved having The Golden Scroll Soloists as part of our day! Kevin was our primary contact and he was so easy to work with. He even provided some great pointers for the flow of our ceremony. The musicians were truly great and we loved having strings to enhance both our ceremony and cocktail hour. For the ceremony we chose more classical style music and more contemporary music for the cocktail hour and the group sounded amazing in all genres! We definitely recommend!
We chose The Golden Scroll Soloists for our ceremony and we couldn't have imagined a better experience. I initially found GSS through a Google search and I was very impressed by their website and all of the different song options they had, especially because I was looking for a mix of contemporary and traditional. I loved that I could play samples from their website too. From the beginning, Kevin reached out right away to ask us questions about what we were looking for. Kevin was very organized and made sure that everything was in order before the big day. I will always remember the moment before walking down the aisle when string trio began to play the song I chose and how happy it made me to hear it.
Golden Scrolls we're great at our wedding! They were very easy to communicate with leading up to our wedding date, arrived on time, and all guests were very complimentary of their music. They were perfect for ceremony and cocktail hour and we would highly recommend!
Absolutely amazing! They were able to talk to my priest to have all the songs approved and even made a little twist on a song for me walking down the aisle. It was absolutely amazing! We received compliments from both guests and vendors hoping to work with this string trio again. Highly Recommend!

As a musician myself, it was very important to me that I have a variety of musical ensembles at my wedding. I very much wanted a string quartet at the ceremony, but also knew that it would be a splurge that I wasn’t sure my budget could handle. I am so grateful that I found Golden Scroll Soloists! The quality of their sound is unmatched compared to other string quartets that are advertised and their price is extremely reasonable. They played prelude music while my guests arrived, songs during the mass, and exit music. SEVERAL guests approached me during the reception telling me that they felt like they were at a professional concert. I arrived about 45 minutes late to the ceremony because of some unforeseen circumstances, and many guests joked around saying that they wished I had arrived even later because they were enjoying the music so much. I STILL have guests telling me that the music during the ceremony was unlike anything they had ever heard and set the tone for such a beautiful day. I highly recommend them. As I mentioned, I am a musician myself so my standards were pretty high and they knocked all of the classical repertoire that I requested out of the park. Not only are they talented, but they communicated quickly and efficiently. Golden Scroll Soloists is a superb wedding vendor!

Golden Scroll Soloists were fantastic! They were so professional and helpful leading up the wedding. They had an extensive list of songs to choose from, but we’re also willing to learn new ones! I cannot say enough amazing things about Golden Scroll Soloists. They were one of my absolute favorite parts about our entire wedding day. They played classical songs for our pre-ceremony/ceremony and contemporary songs for our cocktail hour. They are true professionals and the songs they played brought me to tears, they were just so beautiful. Their repertoire is truly impressive, and they can do any classical or contemporary music. They were so easy to work with, friendly, and flexible! They played all of our favorite songs at our request and I will be playing the recordings over and over again for months to relive how amazing they were!!! We loved the Golden Scroll Soloists. Throughout our entire planning process, Kevin was responsive, professional and very helpful. Our guests loved guessing which pop songs were being played on the strings. We had the Soloists for both ceremony and our afternoon reception for our Garden Party wedding. It was absolutely delightful to have them.
GSS played for our ceremony and extended cocktail hour. We had the string trio and they were fantastic! The song selection was very extensive and they played from the request list we sent them in advance. Multiple guests told us GSS was the highlight of the day (apart from the obvious of course :)). Finally, their pricing was extremely reasonable which is ultimately what made this special bonus add-on possible for us!
GSS and team were fantastic to work with! They were great with communication along the way and were able to make my dream bride processional song come to life with a personalized mashup. We both love live music, and learned of the Golden Scroll Soloists based off of positive reviews we found online. We fell in love with their musical arrangements from samplings we had listened to. Kevin was wonderful to work with, and he responded quickly to all of our phone calls and emails. The trio we hired was even able to perform blue grass music for our cocktail hour- it was a hit!
