After meeting with several wonderful individuals, it became very clear that Maxxwell was fun, understood our vision, and was excited to help us celebrate our special day. From that point on, Maxxwell did a fantastic job working with us through every moment to make it special. From the our own curated playlists, to well-timed moments like our grand entrance and first dance, Maxxwell made every moment memorable and perfect. When it came time to get our people on the dance floor, Maxwell had perfect transitions, knew the groovy vibes we were chasing, and was dancing along with us as they were spinning the tracks. s a lot to us, so we had a lot of ideas, playlists, timing suggestions, and requests, and Dom handled them all incredibly well. We got to meet with Dom two times ahead of our wedding to help us understand how to plan the music for the wedding and then again to cement a vision for the soundtrack and cues to make our wedding flow well. It was so nice that going into the wedding we felt 100% confident in the music and MCing. That confidence was warranted because Dom is a great DJ, his transitions are creative but tight and he knows how to mix in all types of music to get and keep people dancing. His setup is professional, bringing a lighting rig, microphones, and speakers that fit your venue. Also, he is the perfect MC with good timing and knows how to prompt/inform guests without being cheesy or silly - he keeps the focus on you and your special day. Finally, Dom is really easy to work with from an administrative/billing side. Contracting with him was easy and very clear, with multiple ways to pay and an easy payment schedule. We cannot recommend Dom enough! He is a great professional, fantastic DJ, and a good person. If you care about music at your wedding or event, he is the perfect fit because he will deliver!

He also did such a great job announcing and executing all of the big moments throughout the night. We had a bit of an alternative idea for a grand exit that could have ended up quite awkward depending on the execution, but Wes helped us refine our idea and he executed it to absolute perfection! He also adapted the music perfectly the keep all ages on the dance floor all night while sticking to our tastes, and multiple guests told us they’ve never seen a dance floor so full at a wedding! We got so many compliments on the music. Wes played a huge role in making our day perfect. Hire him!!

fade ins/outs, and when we heard Miles's sample playlists, we knew he was our guy. I think our initial call with him ended up being over an hour because we were just having such a fun conversation. We told Miles from the jump that we're big music people and we LOVE to dance, and he absolutely delivered everything we asked for and more. Wes was really great with everything on the business side, even helping us get INCREDIBLE live musicians for our ceremony as a secondary add, which made the whole process so easy and stress-free. Can't recommend these guys enough!

He comes prepared to every meeting with great questions prepared, creative ideas and loads of experience. He always keeps the dance floor high energy all night long, reads the room very well and is also a very natural and eloquent emcee. I would hire him for every wedding I plan if I could!

From our first call with him, we appreciated how easy-going, enthusiastic, and understanding he was. We knew from the start that he had a broad understanding of different genres and could really put a selection of songs together for different moments. We had a lot of fun hearing his Spotify playlists that were catered to different genres, moments throughout the wedding, or themes. Above all, Wes did an excellent job at understanding our musical tastes, preferences, and song choices in order to cater the music to our event. He sent over a comprehensive music questionnaire in which we were able to rank our favorite genres, include our favorite artists, and also which songs/artists we did not want to hear throughout the day of our wedding. The questionnaire remained one of our favorite tasks to complete during the wedding planning process because it was so fun and personal. On the day of the wedding, we saw it all come together so well. Not only did he play songs we requested for particular moments, but he also incorporated a good amount of our favorite songs and artists throughout cocktail hour and the reception, which really spoke to how the music was a reflection of us. Our guests also raved about the music throughout the night, having a great time dancing and vibing. All in all, we are super grateful and lucky to have been able to work with Wes, as he was such a key figure in making our wedding such a fantastic and memorable day!

From our first call with Good Mood, we knew we were in good hands as they explained the whole process and the philosophy they use to curate an atmosphere unique to the couple while keeping the energy going throughout the evening. Maxxwell created the perfect flow from peak moments like the first kiss and couple entrance to lively conversations at happy hour and dinner, making sure to weave in our favorite music so it all felt true to us. They were an absolute hit on the dance floor and kept the energy up for a two hour dance party seamlessly mixing indie, pop, hip hop, cumbias, and Spanish hits. Many of our guests told us that Maxxwell was the best DJ they’d experienced at a wedding and we have to agree. They even translated announcements into Spanish to include parts of our family, which was an extra special touch.

Wes read the room beautifully and kept the energy up while making sure every generation felt included. He mixed genres so well (and did a great job incorporating some of our Latin music requests). Marcus, our DJ, was on top of it, provided us with the kindest hospitality, and was readily available for questions and follow-up. Everything was so simple with the planning pack that let us organize our music wishes for the evening, such as guest arrival music, processional songs, first dances, etc. Our Good Mood pianist was excellent and made our guest arrival, ceremony, and cocktail hour unforgettable. derstood the vibes my husband and I were going for after our first meeting, and we had such a good feeling when booking. We’ve seen DJs not live up to expectations whether that be through music played, not reading the room/dance floor and were definitely nervous when beginning our search. We knew Wes got it and trusted his experience and professionalism after the first meeting. Fast forward to the wedding, and Wes and Marcus absolutely delivered. The MC’ing by Wes was 10/10 and Marcus on the sax was incredible. We got married two months ago and our guests are still talking about how amazing the reception was - I can attribute that to the flow and chemistry of Wes and Marcus being in sync and the amazing music selection/dance floor awareness of Wes. Obsessed with Marcus and Wes is an understatement - we wish we lived closer to SoCal so they could DJ every event we have moving forward.

nervous when hiring a DJ for our wedding because music is such an important part of our relationship and we were afraid of having an empty dance floor given our smaller wedding size. However, Maxxwell really listened to our concerns early on and asked many follow-up questions in the months leading up to the wedding to make sure that we were all on the same page. We both have names that are often mispronounced, and Maxxwell took the time to learn the correct pronunciation which was an extra sweet touch. On the day of, Maxxwell was incredibly professional and lively- by the end of the night, our friends were calling out for DJ Maxxwell by name because he truly felt integral and part of the entire wedding. He nailed the distinct vibes of the processional, cocktail hour, dinner, and the dancing, and we genuinely loved watching him mix banger after banger. Our friends are still asking about his song choices, and our only regret is that we don't have more events on the horizon to hire him back for because he absolutely crushed it. On top of all of this, DJ Maxxwell has the coolest hair and dressed up for the wedding which only made us love him even more. If you're looking for a DJ, Good Mood is absolutely the correct and only move, and you need to hire DJ Maxxwell for the very best vibes and music.

He was extremely responsive over email and let us ask any question we wanted as we got closer to the wedding, he was extremely helpful in helping us figure out what kind of music we wanted thanks to a worksheet that had all types of questions and pre-made playlists on it (which we had a super fun night going through)! Wes even did a tiny edit on the Bride Processional song that had one lyric in it that didn't fit and NO ONE caught it! Wes was honestly the best DJ of all time and all of our guests complimented on how much he crushed it (especially when he hit the crowd with a steady diet of EMO/POP PUNK hits that we requested)! We cannot thank Good Mood and Wes enough for everything! Now... GO BOOK THEM!

He was really open to working with our playlists, and was able to complement our song choices with songs from his library. GoodMood has an amazing music archive on Spotify. Everything is split up into genres, which is very helpful for brainstorming. He himself has great energy! I knew it was going to be awesome after we had our video planning call with him. He knows how to connect with the crowd in a fun way that keeps the party moving, without being abrasive or obnoxious. I told him that we wanted to keep the energy high from the start of the reception, and he definitely delivered on that. We had a weekday wedding, and our dancefloor was lit the entire night! So many people told us it was one of the most fun weddings that they’ve been to. I know I’m biased, but I truly believe that Wes played a large part in that, and we are so grateful!

it was such a good representation of us as a couple. As well as help us host a hilarious game. Working with him was a breeze, he was so friendly, helpful, and charismatic. I was really anxious and apprehensive prior to finding Good Mood as my only goal for our whole event was for everyone to have fun and we had a really large mix of individuals from different backgrounds and cultures that I wanted to be represented well. Wes absolutely delivered that! It was clear he is an expert at reading the room and delivering exactly what was needed, he even got my grandma on the dance floor! Their process was also incredibly stream lined and they give you paperwork that you can fill out (as much as you would like) to get to know you and your music taste. This really helped! The vibes were impeccable from start to finish! The only negative is that my bar for DJs is so incredibly high I don't think I will be able to work with anyone but Good Mood! Per several guests "I have never danced so much in my life, where did you find this guy" -my mother "omg everything was perfect! Your DJ was awesome" -maid of honor "darn, he cut me off, I had so much more to say" -someone who we really wanted to stop talking (thank's for that as well Wes!!!) nning all of our questions were answered and even when we didn't know how to describe some of ours thoughts, GoodMood came in clutch with great example playlists and the musical knowledge to make whole our half-formed thoughts. On the wedding day 4/6 (and in the weeks leading to it), we honestly didn't have to worry about music or set-up once. We just danced the night away. It was especially lovely for us, a queer couple, to have a queer DJ; we felt supported and celebrated. od and thought we were set for the summer of 2020. Flights were booked for to travel from Amsterdam, along with 20+ of our closest friends and family. This was right before the pandemic of course... Fast forward 6 months later, we contacted Wes to discuss our options, and he was more than accommodating. We postponed the wedding for one year and then another. In the meantime, we were given no pressure from GoodMood and they remained flexible with our changing plans. Then in 2022 we decided to have our wedding in the Netherlands where we reside and have a second celebration the following summer with our family and friends in California. When we finally contacted Wes with a complete change of plans, he was able to set us up with DJ Marcus, and the celebration ended up being far more fabulous than we could have imagined. We had a virtual meeting with Marcus a few weeks before flying to California, and really appreciated how relaxed yet professional he was. He took careful note of the kind of music we liked and how the party would include people from different countries, of all different ages, and music tastes from all genres. What we found amazing was how he seemed to feel the crowd and know exactly what to play and when. We received nothing but positive feedback from the guests.
