With all of the things that go into planning a wedding, securing make-up and hair artists proved to be the most difficult for me for one reason; Whatever you do, DO NOT wait until the last minute to book these vendors. In the midst of me going into full panic mode due to my sheer procrastination; a miracle happened and Maggie Thomas was my God send. She was referred to me by a good friend and thankfully had a last minute opening for my Wedding. Maggie was the absolute sweetest. She was so understanding and immediately put me at ease. Even with short notice she also fit me in for a trial run! Maggie is INCREDIBLY talented. No matter what skin type, she made us all look and feel so beautiful. I am so lucky to have had her do make up for me and my wedding party! I highly recommend Maggiethomas_mua for any special event or even you just want to feel a little extra in your own skin. She can do it all!! Thank you Maggie, for making me look and feel stunningly gorgeous on my wedding day!!!

t all would be possible or not for my big day given the circumstances. I kept her up to date on how my hair was growing and the length and she assured me she would have me picture-ready for the day. They were such supports for me before even meeting. At my hair trial, Shannon took her time talking through my vision with extensions of my own. Because I hadn’t seen my hair down/long in so long, I opted for a 2nd trial to try out a new look. I cannot stress enough how much the 2nd trial was not a reflection of Shannon’s work, rather me being an indecisive bride! I had my makeup trial on my bridal shower day and it was the perfect start to the day- Maggie is a ray of calm sunshine. Being pampered by her is truly a treat! I had never looked so beautiful by the time she was done and I couldn’t wait for the wedding day look. Both Shannon and Maggie arrived promptly on my wedding day and ready to get started. They quickly and efficiently worked through my bridal party, glamming each one up seemingly better than the next- I don’t know how they did it, everyone was flawless. Their calm presence kept me at ease and they made such natural conversation with every person they worked on. My own hair was the hair of my dreams and what I had always pictured when getting married. When it came time for me to see my makeup, it was hard not to cry. It was perfection. Maggie had taken all of my minor tweaks and changes and elevated them so I looked my absolute best. I didn’t look like a former cancer patient..I looked like me, a bride, on her wedding day which is all that I had prayed for. I cannot recommend this team enough- they are so talented at what they do and bring such a calming presence to the day. Also, our hair held up so well even with pictures outside in the snow- our curls didn’t fall and I made my husband come into the hotel bathroom with me to marvel at how my makeup hadn’t budged before I washed it off at the end of the night. We love you Shannon and Maggie!

their hair & makeup done on the day of the wedding were extremely satisfied & it all held up against the breeze & all the dancing! My hair stayed so well I was able to wear it well into the next day (or 2)! My makeup lasted all day/night, and the contouring was perfect! I received endless genuine compliments! I have thin hair and Shannon was able to make it look thicker and fuller, which is exactly what I had wanted! Even when I wanted a change or 2, Shannon did it without hesitation or frustration- ensuring I was the happiest bride on my big day! She also allowed me to leave with my hair updo after the trial intact, which I wore out on a date with my now husband! Maggie also accommodated my sensitive eyes with the false lashes and did so well that my now husband didn't notice them as being fake eyelashes until I told him (and normally he doesn't like them)! I honestly felt like a million dollars! So professional and efficient. Shannon had to work with ladies who had short thin hair to long thick curly hair and she rocked it all. Maggie ensured my ladies didn't look overly dolled up and got everyone's shades perfect! Time management was on point! Goode Beauty also didn't charge a ridiculous amt of money compared to other vendors. I love how they came right to my house too- saved so much travel time and extra money I would've had to spend renting out a bridal suite. Highly recommend!!

Let me start by saying the location of Goode Beauty is in a very accessible location and was only a few miles down the road from where I live and more importantly, from my venue which made it very convenient. What also drew me in was the ability to rent out the salon to have more space and to just have some quality time with my girls the morning of my wedding. The process was just very easy, and communication was superb from the get-go. From the moment I met Shannon and Maggie at my trials, that’s when I knew I had made the right choice. I instantly felt comfortable. Not only did I love my hair and makeup, but these two ladies felt like family. They truly care about you and wanting you to have the best experience possible. And you can tell they genuinely love what they do. The salon was so cute in the inside and was even the colors of my wedding. Maggie really took the time to explain the different options for makeup and what she thought would match what I was going for and she absolutely killed it! As for Shannon, I can honestly say I have never had my curls by the end of the evening still be intact UNTIL my wedding night. I even had hand tied weft extensions in my hair, and Shannon made it look easy when handling them. I am extremely grateful to Shannon and Maggie both for playing a crucial part in my wedding day. My girls and I all had a fun and positive experience. I HIGHLY recommend Goode Beauty for your wedding hair and makeup. You will not be disappointed!

There is no other wedding hair and makeup vendor that compares. When my photographer arrived at the wedding and saw I was working with Goode Beauty, he literally said, "Oh, thank ...

God you got Goode Beauty. I tell my clients that if Goode Beauty is booked on their wedding day, don't look for another vendor, change your wedding day." We had Shannon Goode, the owner, doing wedding hair for me (bride), my mother, my mother-in-law, the groom, and my father-in-law (we did not have a bridal party or groomsmen). We also had Maggie doing makeup for me (bride), my mother, and MIL. They were an incredible team. We are all a little introverted and none of us wear makeup or do our hair on a daily basis--I have only worn makeup 3 times in my entire life. I was very nervous about "not looking like myself" or that I would cry and sweat all of it out (since I am not used to worrying about hair/makeup). My mom and MIL almost wanted to decline the service as they don't do hair and makeup either and were convinced I was wasting the money. I am SO glad I took the chance. I have honestly never felt more beautiful in my entire life. My mom and MIL were blown away and nearly in tears, they had never felt more beautiful. The groomsman and my FIL were also extremely happy and the groom even asked Shannon for tips on maintaining his hair in the future! Not only that, but they have the BEST personalities. We are introverted and a little awkward and they put us completely at ease. I think my FIL fell a little in love, to be honest.

held up the entire day in the August heat (which it NEVER does). Out of every single thing we did for our wedding plans and decor, we got more comments on my hair than anything else. All of my bridesmaids and both moms felt the same way about their hair and makeup. If you have any family or bridal party members that are feeling anxious about their appearance on the big day, this is definitely the team for you. My mother-in-law is typically hard on herself and felt anxious about her hair and makeup, but Shannon and Maddie were both so kind and patient, and once she was all finished and saw herself in the mirror, she got emotional and told everyone that she couldn't believe how beautiful she looked. My bridesmaids later made multiple comments about the wedding makeup being the best and least "cakey" they've ever had in a wedding, how well their hair held up, and more (regardless of which stylist or makeup artist they worked with). I had a stress breakout on my chest the week of my wedding (what a nightmare, right?) and Maddie managed to somehow completely erase it with natural looking makeup that didn't rub off or disappear at all the entire day. Can't recommend the entire team enough.

up going with a different look on my wedding day then what we originally had planned and Shannon nailed it!! My hair was exactly what I wanted. All my girls were so happy with their looks. One of my bridesmaids has notoriously flat hair that will not hold a curl and her hair even stayed curled the whole night! I am so grateful I had Shannon’s skill and calming presence on my wedding day. I can not thank her enough for making me and all my girls feel so beautiful.

There were 12 women getting their hair and makeup done on my big day, but Shannon and Maddie made sure that we were done on time (we were actually ahead of schedule!) to get to pictures, and everyone looked absolutely stunning. They are also both extremely kind and organized, on top of being very good at what they do. They made me feel comfortable and listened to all of my questions and requests. I am so grateful that I was able to work with them for my wedding, and I cannot recommend them strongly enough!!

I had even envisioned...especially since I changed up what I wanted from my hair trial once I got in the chair to have my hair done. Shannon really worked her magic. I had so many compliments on my hair and my hair stayed/looked perfect the entire evening. I cannot recommend Shannon enough!

occasionally, leading up to the day. The test-run was fun and most helpful in getting to know both of them. They were quick but effective and everyone looked and felt beautiful all day. Hair and makeup lasted all day on a cold, blustery wintery day. Based on the photos I've been able to see so far, I'm extremely happy. I highly recommend them.

wedding due to covid. I wore extensions which I never normally wear, and Shannon made them look so natural and perfect! I had several people compliment my hair style and after I told them I had extensions, they said they never would have known. Shannon and her assistant came to our hotel suite the day of, and were super efficient! They got through all 9 of us in n about 2 hours. Overall I’m extremely happy with how my hair and the other girls hair turned out and I would highly recommend Shannon to anyone!!
