The site became a non-profit organization in 2001 and now hosts community events and celebrations of all sorts. The venue is amazing and the staff are fantastic!
Beautiful wedding venue! It is naturally beautiful so you don't have to do much decorating because nature is your decoration! The staff at Goodell are extremely professional and easy to work with. We had NO problems or conflicts working with the people from Goodell. I would HIGHLY recommend them.
Goodell Gardens did a wonderful job with our wedding day! We held both the ceremony and reception on the property. It was beautiful, and couldn't have gone any smoother! Dana is a great guy to have on the day of your wedding!

Goodell Gardens is a beautiful venue for a wedding ceremony. The staff at Goodell's are more than helpful. All of the flowers were blooming, the white chairs were perfect and there are so many different areas of the gardens for a ceremony and pictures afterwards.
Everything about this place from start to finish was perfection. Dana, the executive director is professional and amazing. He's a mind reader! Everything we wanted or needed was provided. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location to say I do. Every one of our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful it was. We had the perfect day, blue skies, and flowers in bloom. I'd recommend this location to everyone! I loved it, it made my wedding day everything I wanted it to be!
With an outdoor ceremony and reception there are so many variables and things that could go wrong. Thankfully the amazing, sweet and very professional staff at Goodell helped to make our wedding perfect.
The location is beautiful and so well maintained. The barn was perfect for late night dancing. And every one of our guests mentioned how much they enjoyed it there.
I used this location as the site of my ceremony and reception in July 2012. The venue includes beautifully landscaped gardens with unique and heirloom varieties of flowers. We had our ceremony in the garden area, and then rented the barn and also put up a tent for the reception.
The plusses: unique site, lovely setting, and fairly economical (less than $5,000) price
Since this is a garden and not a full-time wedding venue, we had to bring in just about everything ourselves, from caterers and bar staff to a tent for the reception to refrigeration equipment to keep our beverages cold. If DIY is not your thing, this is not a venue for you!
The person we worked with was organized and kept a record of all our communications (mostly via email). However, at times we had to wait several days or even a couple of weeks for a response. We were also promised on-site staff to direct guest parking during our wedding, and this did not happen. As a result, we had guests arriving from all directions and it was a real chore for our ushers to give them programs and get them seated. We also had to clean out the barn ourselves, and set up and take down all of our decorations and equipment. It was very hands-on for us. We also got a surprise "staff fee" with our bill. Since the staff didn't show up and do what we thought we were paying them to do, this did not seem like a reasonable charge. I was able to talk the venue into removing that fee, but still, in hindsight, I may have gone with a different venue that offered more turnkey services, even if that meant paying more.
