We have been visiting Door County individually and together over the last 15 years and could not have picked a better location as our wedding venue. I started looking at venues for them in the fall of 2012. The first time I laid my eyes on Gordon Lodge my heart stopped…I knew I had found the perfect place. Little did I know how perfect. A few weeks later my son and fiancée came to take a tour and they too were awestruck. And so the three year planning began. To say that the grounds of Gordon Lodge are beautiful is obvious, but Gordon Lodge is so much more….it’s the staff that became family. Your event becomes their family event. They want and deliver the best. From Amy’s coordination of LITERALLY EVERYTHING to Tony’s expertise in the culinary department there was never anyone who didn’t step in to help. Our family and friends loved being able to gather and celebrate for more than just the wedding day…catching up on each other’s lives in one of the most beautiful spots on earth. We still hear stories of how absolutely perfect they all thought Gordon Lodge was. Gordon Lodge is now a part of our family. Our son’s wedding was just the beginning of many, many happy memories that will be made at Gordon Lodge.

The staff at the Gordon Lodge far exceeded my expectations. From the first time we met Amy Gorham, we knew we were in good hands. This woman has years of experience running weddings; she is a professional and it shows. Amy put us at ease from planning the ceremony and reception to making sure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding. Thank you to Amy and the entire staff for making the entire stay of our destination wedding a dream come true. We created memories that our family and friends will treasure forever.

ounds were beautiful- we fell in love with it instantly. It gave us the feel of a destination wedding without going insanely over our budget. The months before our wedding, the coordinator at Gordon Lodge, Amy, kept in contact with us and made sure everything would go according to plan. She was quick to respond about any concerns we had. On the day of our wedding, she made sure everything ran smoothly and took all of the stress out of our day. Our guests raved about the hors d'oeuvres and entrees. It is several months out, and we are still getting comments about how great the food was, saying it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Even the pickiest eaters from my family were satisfied. The wedding cupcakes were also very good, not dry like some wedding cakes you might get. I had the cheesecake and my husband had the Door County cherry- both were delicious. One of my guests said we had a "fairy-tale wedding"- it really did feel that way.

tour the grounds, they had me at Hello!! All the fall decorations and the colorful hydrangea bushes were gorgeous. It is truly a little piece of heaven on earth. The view and the surrounding grounds are breath taking. Amy Gorham the event planner was extremely helpful she was there every step of the way and got back to us immediately with answers to our questions. Amy even provided helpful suggestions to make the guests stay more pleasurable and the reception room more beautiful. The whole staff at Gordon Lodge was very nice and went out of their way to help us in any way. All of our friends and family members really were pleased about the extended wedding vacation they had. Also, every morning when you stay at Gordon Lodge you get a full breakfast/brunch. Warm pumpkin, or zucchini bread or Danishes, egg casseroles, to name a few. Unbelievably Yummy!! For our reception we choose 3 entrees Chicken Oscar, Salmon and the Rib eye Steak. The food was all delicious served promptly and Warm!! We chose to have the late night snack of cheese burgers and Brats, a must do. The best cheeseburgers ever!! Our friends and Family could not say enough Wonderful things about Gordon Lodge. When it came to find a venue for our wedding, my husband and I didn't have that one spot where we knew we wanted to get married; we knew we liked the outdoors, lakes, greenery, cabin-feeling - so after much research on Wisconsin wedding venues, we came across The Gordon Lodge. How many have not heard of this place? I do not know. This place had everything we were looking for, and MORE. WE made the call. And from the very first contact we had with Amy Gorham (the events coordinator), to when we first drove up to see the place, we felt valued. Each and every staff member treated us with the utmost respect and we were in awe with how well-kept the place was. And not to mention, the VIEW. That view. Picturesque. Beautiful. Breathtaking. We made the decision THAT day. We couldn't think of a better place to host our special day. Through the next year of planning, Amy was fantastic with keeping in touch, and making sure things were moving along. There were never any hidden fees or gimmicks, everything was straight forward from the beginning. I couldn't of asked for a better person to work with in planning our wedding. As a very "type A" person, I love lists - I didn't even have to ask for a timeline or list - Amy had already emailed that months prior too. So when it cam for our big day - I felt relaxed, laid back, and soo ready to enjoy it all. Again, as soon as we checked in - the staff was so nice and accommodating. We felt like we were a king and queen. And as our guests arrived, and the weekend moved forward - we didn't stop hearing about how helpful and accommodating the place and staff was to everyone, and again HOW beautiful it was. Our wedding day was finally here, the day went accordingly and mostly as planned (they say there will be something to go unplanned)! A perfect day. The ground keepers were out early cleaning and setting up the ceremony site early, the reception hall staff were so helpful with assisting my maids in setting up, and before we knew it the ceremony was was here. Amy was there to check in with us and the groomsman to make sure we were on time; as I became nervous, Amy assured me several times - everything was going as planned and she made sure I ATE =) She's god-sent! And I must mention - their food! From the Top House to the continental breakfast, and the wedding food - TOP NOTCH!!! The rest is history. Gordon lodge knows how to accommodate many and throw a heck of a party! There's no doubt we'll be back for many years to come to celebrate our anniversaries, share with our future children, and more! Many of our guests have mentioned they will make a yearly trips back and share with their families as well! I HIGHLY recommend this place to all. We can't thank Gordon Lodge enough for all they did to make our dreams reality.

hing. All staff and event coordinator were extremely helpful and worked with us through everything. The cost is a little overwhelming up front, but you have everything you could imagine included. There was very little that needed to be done on my end once I arrived at GL. They took care of everything! Plus, you cannot beat the location and breathtaking view GL has to offer.

My husband and I have already decided we would love to go back and have an anniversary party some day! With our small guest count of 65, the boat house and patio were beyond wonderful. It was cozy and so much fun. Amy really helped us capture exactly the feel for the day that we were hoping for. The grounds and space for larger weddings is absolutely phenomenal, as well. My husband and I, along with the rest of our family, very highly recommend The Gordon Lodge for anyone who is looking for an amazing waterfront venue with gorgeous views everywhere you turn, and a team of people who are there to create the most perfect experience for your wedding!

My husband and I came up in March of 2014 to meet with all different venues in Door County, and while others had settings on the lake, there is no better scenery and feeling than what Gordon Lodge has to offer. Our entire weekend was perfect, the staff was so sweet and accommodating, and Amy, well Amy truly made the day/weekend perfect, not only were we able to enjoy our special day, but we did so with absolutely no worries that everything was taken care of! This truly is a venue to have the perfect wedding, we loved that it had the amenities to host whomever wanted to stay there and it was so nice to have everyone together for the weekend, we loved waking up as a married couple and being able to walk back over to the event center to see our family and friends for breakfast...it really has everything you can ask for! We got married June 6, 2015, and I still have people telling me how perfect our wedding was, from the ceremony to the reception, they cannot compliment us enough on the location and how smoothly and perfectly everything was! Thank you for making our special day, even more special.

One of the staff members even thought to bring me--the busy bride--a tray full of Hors D'ourves as I was getting my dress bustled. Of all the staff members, I have to especially recognize Amy. She is an exceptional wedding coordinator and does not miss a beat. She made our wedding day flow seamlessly, and even had fun with us during our sunset photo shoot! Thank you to Gordon Lodge, and especially Amy, for making an idyllic wedding weekend for us and our loved ones!

zing as it was. Gordon's Lodge is a time warp. You immediately feel like you're living it up in a different era. As if it wouldn't be out of place to see the rat pack kayaking leisurely around the bay. Words cannot express the charm of this place. It truly feels like a slice of heaven. Our wedding went off without a hitch. It was small and we had the reception in the boathouse. Right on the water, it has one of the best views in Door County. I couldn't have dreamed up a more perfect evening. Amy, the coordinator, was tremendous. One of my favorite moments was her driving us around on the golf cart in search of the most perfect spots for pictures. She and the entire staff really put forth the effort into making our day an experience we will fondly never forget. If you're looking for the perfect spot for a wedding, look no further....this is it.

In addition to the setting and venue, the staff (even more specifically, Amy and Tony), made the day run smoothly and wonderfully. They made the event so special and were extremely accommodating in every way, even down to the moments like Amy pinning my dress when the bustle broke. I'll be forever grateful that I had my wedding at Gordon Lodge and worked with such wonderful people.

August of 2014. We reserved most of the rooms with my family and friends. Every age from 4 years old to 84 year old had the most memorable weekend in their lives. Everything was picture perfect and a dream wedding that came true for my daughter and her father. Thanks to all the people at Gordon Lodge for a job well done.

nd reception in the event center. From the first day we visited Gordon Lodge for a tour, we knew it was the spot we wanted to get married. The grounds are beautiful and the location allowed for all of our guests to stay in one spot for the whole weekend. There are tons of amenities for guests of all ages and the views are breathtaking! Throughout the entire wedding planning process Amy (catering and events manager) was dedicated to ensure that our day was going to be perfect from beginning to end. I am a very detail orientated person and Amy promised me that everything would be just as we discussed, and it was! Not only is Amy dedicated to making your day perfect, but the entire staff was phenomenal. They placed our welcome gifts bags in all the guest rooms and cabins, and moved all the gifts and decorations to a save place later on in the reception. The whole weekend our families and friends were taken care of and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Also, Amy directed all the vendors as they arrived and checked in often with me throughout the morning of our wedding day. Overall, our wedding weekend was amazing, despite the rain and cold weather! To this day family and friends still say how much fun the wedding was, how delicious the food was and how much they loved the venue. We plan on going back to Gordon Lodge to celebrate our anniversaries in the years to come!

after it was made legal in our home state of Illinois- but Amy and the entire staff made it seamless- we cannot than them enough for making our day a perfect wedding. We had planned ahead and the lodge was able to accommodate our entire wedding party for the weekend- which made the event that much more special; having all of our friends and family there before and after the day of the wedding made us able to spend time with everyone. The ceremony site is breathtaking and they have alternatives if the weather isn't perfect. The cocktail hour following the ceremony was one of my favorite parts of the day- it was so nice to be outside at dusk- the weather, the ground and butterflies made it an ideal environment. The food choices are delicious- we had a hard time picking our appetizers and entrees (we went for the dual plate). The room is so spacious and with the high ceilings make it feel even more open. The dance floor is in the exact right spot between the bar and the dining tables. We also did late night snacks of sliders, fries and shakes and was a favorite moment of our guests- definitely worth it! Everything at the lodge is geared towards relaxation and made the before and after our day the best!

n Lodge was the place. From their breathtaking views, delicious food and amazing service, we couldn't go wrong. The event planner, Amy was helpful throughout the whole planning process. She suggested amazing vendors who were familiar with Gordon Lodge and was always quick with an email response if I had a question 330 miles away. The distance was never a factor. Gordon Lodge helped make my dream wedding come true and created memories that will last a lifetime. Many of our guests mailed us letters after the wedding saying how beautiful and special our day was. We can't wait to go back and relive those memories!

at, the servers were friendly and professional, and obviously the area incredibly beautiful! Amy was extremely helpful as a wedding planner and very accommodating to our needs. The reception hall at Gordon Lodge is beautiful, as are the grounds, and all our guests were blown away by the setting. The food was delicious, and Amy's husband, the head chef for the Lodge, made our wedding cake which we loved! After doing the math we realized that Gordon Lodge, although not inexpensive, was more cost effective as an all-inclusive location than putting together our reception piece by piece elsewhere. So in the end we had an incredible wedding day and Gordon Lodge was one of the major reasons!

From the grounds, to the harbor, to the accommodations, to the service, you could not dream of a better location. If the surroundings weren't enough, the staff at Gordon Lodge is some of the best we have ever encountered. Amy Gorham, the catering and events manager, is extremely attentive and dedicated to making sure that your special day is perfect. Amy also serves as the on-site coordinator during any of the events. Her attention to detail is unparalleled! We literally did not have to worry about one thing the entire weekend. John and Wendy, the proprietors, are also involved with most of the day to day operations and are always there to lend a helping hand. In fact, John tended bar at the rehearsal dinner and during the cocktail hour before the reception - with Amy's help, you know things are going to go as planned!! Lastly, the food provided by Gordon Lodge is fantastic. Our reception dinner food was exceptional, but the pizza at the rehearsal dinner was, for a crowd from Chicago, out of this world!!! So, all this said, if you are considering Gordon Lodge for your wedding event(s), don't think twice...book it now!

and accommodations. Amy, their event planner, was a life saver and made the wedding planning experience stress-free! She was able to recommend amazing vendors from the florist to DJ to photographer. She really made everything come together to make our perfect day! We had our Welcome Gathering on Friday night at the boat house, which gave all the wedding guests an opportunity to meet and mingle the night before the big day. We served food and drinks and the Boat House was reserved just for us. Major bonus is Gordon's had live music outside which the guests loved! (if you ever have a chance to visit Gordon's in the summer on a Friday or Sunday night, stop by their outside patio to listen to the music while watching the sunset and you'll fall in love with this location, guaranteed! this is how i knew right away I had to have my wedding here!)I had my wedding on Saturday. The property here offers the most amazing photo backdrops, from the lake views to the "enchanted forest". We had our ceremony outside overlooking the lake, directly followed by on outdoor cocktail hour, followed by our reception in the event center. When i decided on Door County for my destination wedding location (I live in a suburb of Chicago)i visited and researched many locations in Door County. I have to say, this location has it all, and I would highly recommended it to anyone! Thanks Gordon's for making my wedding dreams come true!

Everyone had a fabulous time at this perfect venue. FYI: We made all the arrangements via email from California, having never been to this location . . . and there was not one hitch in the event. The Gordon Lodge staff is amazing, and they all went above expectations to make sure our event was flawless. Thank you to all the wonderful folks at Gordon Lodge!

We were able to do every single thing here without leaving. All our guests loved it and praised the location, rooms/cottages, food (free breakfast too), atmosphere, EVERYTHING! You have to see it to believe it, no joke!

I loved having the ceremony and reception there because the view is so breath taking, but it also allowed guests to walk from the ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner. It was so convenient to have nice lodging there too! The price for the wedding is all-inclusive, so I'll be honest, it overwhelmed me at first. But, after breaking down all of the expenses for 15 different other vendors in WI (you know, all the little stuff...napkins, tablecloths, bartender fees, set up fees)... Gordon Lodge's price is very comparable. Plus, no other place we looked at could assure us of that caliber of food and service... and with that amazing view of the Door County sunset. That gorgeous view of the water instantly wins over your heart. If you're on the fence about having your wedding at Gordon, ... just do it!

only complaint was that communication had to be initiated by us and could have been more thorough, but everything went smoothly the day of our wedding. We had many guests comment that this was probably the nicest wedding they have been to and the food and drink were just as good as the samples we tried. Beautiful place, and we will be back to visit someday!

Lodge to other couples some of which have already booked their weddings there! Gordon Lodge just remodeled their reception hall over the winter and the improvements are out-of-this world! I would do it all over again and again without any changes!;I have heard that the Gordon Lodge is fully booked for weddings through 2010 so if you want to book your wedding there now is the time!
