Got Light

The rain poured relentlessly, but with Got Light's artistry, our guests basked in a warm, fun, and artsy glow throughout our perfect wedding day. Our first meeting began with lots of fun, curious questions about our overall design and decor, then they set out to create a lighting design package to enhance every single element. As a DIY bride, I loved their immediate responsiveness to my every burning question and how they worked in tandem with my other vendors to ensure a seamless event from beginning to end. They even checked in behind the scenes with my venue and DJ to assure that all technical issues were understood and addressed in advance. On our wedding day, their team quickly set up, turned, and broke down behind the scenes to stage the most gorgeous lighting my venue has likely ever experienced. Honestly, I didn't even see any of this happening, but clearly it did since everything was lit gorgeously and my venue even called to thank us for leaving the building swept and in perfect condition after we high-tailed it out of there for the honeymoon suite. I had folded 1,000 paper cranes for our ceremony backdrop, all of which Got Light meticulously hung and gorgeously lit up from below to make the various colors pop. Their lighting also created really cool shadow patterns along the walls behind us. After the room was turned for the dance party, those same cranes were immersed in a uniform golden glow amid really cool lavender walls. Then they suggested the BEST dance floor wash pattern that's actually called "origami," which artfully mimicked and enhanced those same paper cranes... I am so in love with our first dance photos! During our daytime ceremony, they lit the perimeter of the East Wing room in a soft glow. It was from this light that I noticed the love and emotion dancing in my new husband's eyes as he stood next to me throughout the ceremony, and still see it today in our photos and video. Now, that's probably not listed in their range of services, but it's a great example of how Got Light's artistry takes everything in your wedding to a whole new, unexpected level.

I was referred to Got Light because the family friend whose estate we were getting married at had used them for several previous events. Kristina was very helpful in offering a variety of lighting plans for a backyard wedding on a spring evening. We worked out including uplighting for the trees in the front and back of the estate as well as bistro lights and a light dance floor wash in the back for the reception. Kristina was very responsive and accommodated a walk through as well as a handful of discussions for different lighting options. I understand why our family friend continues to work with this company as the reception looked even more enchanting as the evening went on.

Got Light? did a wonderful job and they made everything very easy! Most professional lighting team I spoke with. They did the lighting for the ceremony and reception and everything looked beautiful!

My husband and I noticed last minute that we were going to have extra money after everything was planned and we decided to add lights to our reception hall. We contacted several companies and were told they were already booked or they were just way to expensive. As a last resort I called Got Light? and they were only a last resort because they were located in San Francisco and the reception was in Livermore, I spoke with Ashley and the rest was history. Ashley was extremely helpful and immediately took my information trying to find out if they were available and when she confirmed that they were she got right down to details. She asked all the important details of the wedding, what we envisioned, what our colors were, how much we were looking to spend and really helped me stay in budget as we created a light package that would work for my husband and I. On the wedding day they were prompt in setting up and tearing down, and the room looked amazing, it was everything Ashley promised. Needless to say we were very happy with Got Light? and would use them again for another fancy event.

They need to be booked as the only lighting or audio-visual company if you're getting married or having an event. Jon the owner is hilarious and makes you feel wonderful when you go and visit their studio. Their prices are reasonable and they make sure it's perfect onsite. Nothing more to ask for.

I can't tell you how nice it was to have at least one wedding vendor that we knew we didn't have to worry in the least about! From day one, Mike and Hayley instilled confidence and competence, were always responsive, answered all our questions (I know very little about lighting and lighting design) and delivered a great product on our wedding day. Everything looked amazing! The patio string lights were perfect, and as I was dancing our the father-daughter dance, I did have a fabulous moment of "WOW, what a great floor wash pattern!" Got Light made everything so easy, and were fun and professional to deal with! They transformed an empty hall into a palace, and it was so beautiful. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for stress-free vendor interaction, with perfect results!

We did an all outdoor wedding reception, and Got Light? was happy to make the drive from San Francisco to Healdsburg to do the site visit and familiarize themselves with the venue. They figured out all the logistics for us which was great because we are based in Los Angeles. Hayley supplied us with several selections via email for colors, designs and photos of actual weddings. It was fantastic working with them, and we were equally pleased with the results!
