thusiastic and committed, but decidedly nonprofessional beginner dancers, breaking down the steps, and even helped us with personalized flourishes to truly make the dance our own. I would heartily recommend them for making you feel confident and prepared for a wedding or any special event dance number.
They were also very responsive and flexible in helping us setting up the number of lessons we needed and accommodating our tight schedule and timeline.

e to teach us the basics of swing so we could avoid a basic "sad sway" first dance. My fiance and I were very nervous to have our first dance and wanted to cut our song but since taking lessons we feel excited and decided to dance the whole 3 minutes! We can't wait to join their weekly classes and have a fun date night as newly weds!

ter were incredibly helpful and patient, helping us learn the basics of our dance starting from nothing (I had never danced before).
We spent a lot of time practicing the choreography on our own, which is a must for anyone learning. However, Linda and Chester provided instrumental help in teaching us the foundations, while also helping us develop our skills even further.
We would typically have a lesson, then work on our dance on our own. Every subsequent lesson Linda and Chester would then help us iron out any problems, then help us learn the techniques for the next set of moves.
In the end, we blew people away at our wedding, with many thinking we had been dancing for years—when in reality, it had just been a few weeks.
And even though it wouldn’t have been possible without our own practice, it would have taken considerably longer had we not been guided and supported by Linda and Chester, and their overwhelming expertise!

the world of dance. They helped us tailor the dance to our chosen song and gave us invaluable tips for the dance.
The dance was AMA-zing, our guests were surprised (especially since I can’t dance) and are still talking about the dance months later. And those lessons also helped us in our parent dances. The most important part? My husband and I enjoyed the dance, we were happy, we were comfortable, and enjoyed ourselves in the moment. Highly recommend! Thank you guys!
My fiancé, Kyle and I are getting married October 4, 2024. Shortly after getting engaged last year we decided that for our first dance we wanted to have it choreographed to one of ...
our favorite songs. I reached out to Linda and let her know what my vision was. She was enthusiastic and confident that she would be able to teach us our dance before our big day. We broke the dance down into 10 sessions which was great. It made it easier for us to practice in between lessons. Chester is encouraging, detailed and professional. Kyle and I truly appreciate the time and effort that went into helping us with our dance. It’s some thing that we will cherish forever. Chester and Linda are friendly and welcoming. We will miss our weekly sessions and our laughs. We had a wonderful experience. Thank you ❤️

After a few months of lessons we were feeling great and had so much fun along the way! My husband even took the skills he learned to easily lead his mom in their dance together as well. Thank you Linda and Chester, you are true professionals!

ur belt and by the end of our time with Linda & Chester we look like we can dance!! We’ve even now started joining their group dance classes because we enjoyed our time with them so much. They specialize in swing but they have a wide range of knowledge about all different dance types and our first dance was a mix of the country two step, swing, and Cajun jitterbug. It was fun and our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say and they were thoroughly entertained at our wedding. Linda & Chester are kind, patient, fun, and loving! They have so many services to fit your needs from couples classes, to private classes, to group classes, to even public dances in Kingston which are SO fun! Definitely make them your first choice for your wedding, we absolutely love them!
Linda and Chester are truly incredible. They are so patient, kind, funny and an absolute joy to work with. We went in knowing absolutely nothing and we’ve come out with incredible ...

My husband and I took two lessons prior to our wedding which resulted in a real "wow" factor the night of. slow dancing and broke out into swing. We literally had about 6 weeks to review the basics of ballroom dancing and learn some swing dance moves. Linda and Chester helped us accomplish this task!! Linda and Chester were very accommodating with our schedule and helped us by making videos of our dance and even putting the music together, so we could review and practice. They definitely made our first dance memorable! I would highly recommend them as your dance instructors for your wedding , whether it be something traditional or swing!
Linda & Chester are the perfect teaching team! I called up asking if we could learn to "swing out" about 3 months before our wedding and they put us through basics and into 8count ...
in perfect time!!
My fiance and I have attended 2 group workshops for Lindy Hop prior to 2020 where we shuffled our way through. But we wanted to feel really good about the first dance at our wedding! Within 6 lessons, we managed to surpass all expectations and feel really comfortable swinging out together! And it's not limited to our own song, we found ourselves dancing at a friends' wedding and testing different songs and tempos!
Learning to lead and follow is like learning how to communicate all over again! A great skill to be working on in preparation for marriage! It's been so much fun jump-starting our foundational skills and having an activity to share together well beyond the wedding. We're very much looking forward to all the events Got2Lindy offers!
My partner and I heard about Got2Lindy from a "Nextdoor Neighbor" request I put out regarding private dance lessons for our first dance. My partner and I had never danced together ...
before, really, and my partner sort of always shied away from dancing in general. Anyhow we are having a small adventure reception but wanted a polished dance. I absolutely love dancing and it is just so fun. So we looked them up and did an initial drop in dance "class".
It was absolutely great - they asked us a few questions, helped us pick out our song and showed us a few simple moves to get us started. That first hour blew by and blew our minds and what a great opportunity this would be. Initially my partner didn't want a whole choreographed show but after that first lesson and understanding Linda & Chester's style in choreography we decided to buy the choreography package! Although we haven't had our reception yet we are absolutely blown away by the lessons we have taken over the last couple of months with them. The ease and clarity of the choreography which is designed each step of the way to match our abilities and style is great! Plus they had no issues at all with us having our baby in tow - who's favorite time during our lessons was spinning around the room!
We have one final lesson left before our big send off but we are over the moon about our experience with Linda and Chester and can't wait for their social dances to pick back up so we can attend! Additionally, we have even talked about just continuing to do some dance lessons every now and then as drop-ins even after our event to just keep it going!
Couldn't recommend them enough!

ng our guests away during our first dance. Such a great couple with an understanding on how to break down steps for inexperienced people and make you feel comfortable at any level! We really could not be more grateful.
In addition to the amazing job they did - they are extremely accommodating with time. We had an extremely tight schedule and they made it work. I highly recommend taking lessons with them!

nd Chester made it so easy and fun! We learned a choreography that they designed for our special song and even though it didn’t go well because of technical difficulties with my dress, I wouldn’t change anything. They are so professional and kind. When we made a mistake, they gently redirected us. I’m so glad I had the chance to work with them. My husband and I had only one lesson because we ran out of time but because of their amazing teaching skills it was enough for us to through our 1st and last dance. Linda and Chester, thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did to make our day so amazing! ♥️
Chester and Linda are the best instructors I'll say. Kevin and I can't wait for our first dance 08.22.21. The choreographed dance that was put together came out beautiful and it's ...

ends and family, Got2Lindy was there to work with us! We rehearsed weekly with Chester, who choreographed a spectacular sequence that pushed our skills in new directions and made for a really fun post-dinner pre-dancing number. We looked forward to rehearsals each week and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, not just the end result. We are grateful to Linda and Chester for introducing us to swing and for helping us make our wedding so memorable - friends and family are still talking about our dance years later! We highly, HIGHLY recommend working with Got2Lindy. We had a blast!

table for us. We brought them 2 songs we were teetering between and they helped us envision what the moves would look like and then we picked the best song/dance combo for us. We left feeling confident and most of all had fun. Our wedding was over 2 years ago but we still find ourselves dancing around the kitchen with our special dance moves from our wedding! We loved working with Linda and Chester and highly recommend their lessons to anyone who needs a confidence boost for their dance moves.

er and Linda taught us the basic steps and we worked our way up to the choreography which was challenging but we caught on. By the end of the lessons we were ready to show off!
The big day finally came and let me tell you the hard work paid off! The guests were so impressed with our performance that some even said it was the highlight of the night! We had guests even cry watching it! We were so prepared and confident that we weren’t even nervous. It was so much fun and we smiled the whole way through it!
Chester and Linda were an absolute pleasure to work with. They have true talent and skill and they made practice so enjoyable. We always left feeling good about what we learned that day! I must say it wasn’t easy learning 5 minutes of choreography but we did it!
Thank you Got2Lindy Dance Studios for helping make our big dance debut a success! We will always be grateful for your patience and teaching ability! We nailed it!!

dance lessons! They taught him how to lead me around the floor and both of us some basic steps for our first dance and they truly helped big time! We cannot thank Linda and Chester enough for their patience, teaching skills, and tips that we learned from them. We definitely recommend them for dance classes or private dance lessons for your wedding.

waltz. They were SO nice, SO patient, and SO personable! We loved them so much that we ended up inviting them to our wedding as guests and even made a point to get the videographer to get some of their moves on tape:) Thanks to them, we looked pretty darn good on the dance floor that day! That was 5 years ago and we still keep in touch and even continued taking lessons for quite a while, before we had our 2 children and our schedules didn't allow. I would (and do) recommend them to everyone!

, helpful, patient, practical and very much accommodating to our wishes and various requests during the lessons. Our wedding dance turned out to be a big success.
Linda and Chester were great....
I honestly can't remember what the fee was but we met them several times in their home which was a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. They had ...
great ideas for our dance and helped us be relaxed and have a good time. Our first dance was the hit of the wedding! Because they are a couple Chester could show my soon to be husband the moves by dancing with me and Linda could dance with him which was an advantage I think. You can't go wrong with these guys. Having a rehearsed dance was so much fun.
