hey had an extensive menu that read as delicious. They were also able to accommodate our concerns about some of our guests dietary restrictions and handle our preferences as well. They were professionals who have been in the business for awhile and knew what questions to ask and cover. Now the food was delicious. We thought it was good at the tasting (the sour watermelon macrons are to die for), and the food during the reception was well-received by the guests. Many gushed about the hor d'oeurves and many loved the desserts (raspberry panna cotta and the dairy-free chocolate mousse were one of many highly rated items). The service was also good. The only point to mention is that other than the explicit dairy-free and gluten-free options, there were no cards indicating what each dessert was or what was in it. This does not dock a star because we're sure if you asked Gourmet to include it they would; we just didn't think about it -- but here's a heads-up about it.

as very impressed they did a few extra gluten free items for me! From the passed appetizers to plated dinner, the presentation was beautiful and food so delicious. Our guests raved about how amazing the food was and some even said it was some of the best food they enjoyed at a wedding in a long time. Short rib was definitely the favorite of the night!

We had a lot of Gluten Free guests, and they found ways to accommodate this so everyone felt safe with their meals. This is on top of how all of the food was. A special touch was that we were given a separate bride & groom plate to enjoy some of the cocktail hour nibbles on our own. The food at the reception was delicious, including a selection of petit desserts that were to die for. Everyone we talked to loved the food and were so impressed by the level of service that they received from the GC team from the cocktail hour, to the bartenders, to the tableside service. The whole process, working with Ann and Isa, was transparent from start to finish, and they really helped us figure out what options would work best for culinary and budget needs. They were also creative in helping put together our ideas, especially how we were trying to add some of our cultural elements to the signature cocktails and such. The food options are unique and tasty. We definitely knew it was going to be great when we were at the tasting. All of the items we chose to taste were excellent. How rare is that!? There was also a high level of attention to detail in terms of some of our guests’ dietary restrictions/allergies. They were super attentive during the wedding, and our personal attendant made sure we always had our food and drinks handy so that we could easily eat and see to our guests and such. Our guests were very happy with the food, and several of them raved about the chicken, since they said it's so easy for chicken to be dry, but not in this case! Thank you for helping make our celebration that much more special!

We worked with Jeanne Spence leading up to (and on) the big day - and she was terrific to work with from start to finish. Her experience gave us confidence going into the day and it showed through on the day. Now to the food and drink - also excellent! Gourmet worked closely with us to come up with a food and bev plan throughout the planning process and they delivered. Guests were raving about the food - from the signature cocktails to the raw bar and passed apps - through the entrees and dessert - I had guests rave about all aspects of our F&B. So grateful I hired Gourmet!

From our first conversation, Jeanne was full of great ideas, listened carefully and was fun to work with. The food and presentation were creative and superb. Our guests were raving! And I can't imagine better desserts at a wedding! They make them at their facility and they are as good as the finest bakeries. Gourmet Caterers is clearly one of the best in Boston and I would recommend them for events large and small.

Ann and her team gave us a wonderful tasting experience, and let us customize a few different options to help us make a food and beverage menu individual to our taste. The day of the wedding, Ann was there overseeing it all, and we were told multiple times by our guests not only how good the food was, but how amazing the service was! My now husband and I were never wanting for a beverage, and they even packed us up a whole dessert platter to go for us to take on our minimoon. While Gourmet is the exclusive caterer for PEM, we were so lucky to get to work with Ann, and I imagine we would have chosen them regardless!

On the day, Pam, our assigned team member, was beyond tremendous at making sure the bride and I had drinks, food, and space at all times. If you want to know how terrific Pam's service was, I am here to report that we may be the first bride and groom who got to eat everything at the wedding and were full at the end of the day! Allergies were accounted for, our needs were met, and the guests reported it was some of the best catering they'd had at a wedding before. There is no denying that Gourmet Caterers is a bigger-ticket option than some other catering options, but you without a doubt get what you pay for - ESPECIALLY in the support we were offered by Ann, Isabella, and Pam.

You could've cut the short rib with a spoon, the vegetarian options were lovely and didn't feel like an afterthought, the variety of passed hor d'oeurves was amazing and covered classics and creative new takes. The dessert offerings were also delectable. A thin cookie that is also somehow still chewy? Magic! Hire Gourmet!

In addition as a bride traveling from out of state, they worked with our schedule in order to have our taste testing. Our wedding was flawless, everything came out on time, was perfectly cooked, and was delicious. All waitstaff were so accommodating and our guests with allergies had their needs mets (ie gluten roll was at our guest's table wo question or issue). Thank you Gourmet for all you do! have gone any better. From the smiles we received from the waitstaff as we walked in, to the very last goodbyes, we felt like we were not just in professional hands, but caring and joyful hands! That special care started a long time ago, and we knew, from our tasting in March, that we (and our guests), were in for a treat. It wasn't just the food - (delicious as it was) - it was the interest Jeanne and Gail showed in Hannah and Mike - how they met, what kind of night they were hoping for, and obviously, what kind of food they like. We were offering "kosher style" food for our guests, (no shellfish or beef, chicken or pork) but we had a lot of options to choose from! In fact - the vegetarian option was so yummy some of us ordered it even though we're not vegetarian. (The Cod dish Hannah and Mike chose for was also delicious). The food was phenomenal, plentiful, and beautifully displayed. Jeanne was extremely helpful in helping us figure out timing - including a few surprises (flash mob!) we had planned for Hannah and Mike. And the extra touches! We expected Hannah and Mike to be treated like royalty but WE were treated like royalty too! Amah (Amarh?) looked after us the entire night. She set aside a special plate of hors doeuvres set aside for us during the cocktail hour, because she knew we'd be chatting. She remembered what drinks we drank during the cocktail hour (which she brought to us) and replenished them throughout the night! All of the waitstaff were top notch. Jeanne checked in with us throughout the night and it made for a very, very fun and stress free night. The affogato bar was a huge hit, and, she sent us home with the most scrumptious desserts! I highly recommend Gourmet Caterers.

The service was exceptional as well. ---------- The tasting was easily our favorite wedding-planning activity, and Gourmet made it difficult to narrow the choices down. Since we were having a big wedding cake, we weren't planning on offering additional desserts, but Gourmet's were so good we had to get them too. ---------- Jeannie and team were very accommodating and so easy to work with. Because we were having an outdoor wedding in the summer, we weren't interested in a stationary display. She offered to swap it out for more appetizers (yes please!). Jeannie is a true professional who really knows her stuff, and planning was a cinch. We couldn't recommend Gourmet more highly.

Peabody Essex Museum in Salem MA. From day one, Ann and the amazing people at GC were there to talk us through everything. To help us pick an appropriate menu, to assist us with the timing of the reception, to brainstorm the perfect "dessert table." Our tasting was ... out of this world. We were able to bring one of our Persons of Honor and her husband. They were married a few years ago and said they wish they had a caterer like GC. They brought out a plate with all of the hors d'oeuvres we were considering and then we were each given a small tasting plate of each of the three entrees we had chosen. Followed by a plate of all of the small dessert options. Not only that, but we were given wine pairings for each course and then they brought out a "doggy bag" of everything for us to take home to help us make our decisions!! So much food! We had a number of guests tell us that they were relieved not to be served "wedding food" at the wedding, haha. These are not high-volume, dry and bland event meals ... these are delicious plates of gourmet food.

I was uneasy (okay, totally terrified) with the idea of re-planning our entire wedding, however, my worries vanished the minute I got off the phone with Jeanne. Jeanne was extremely accommodating to our tight timeline and ensured that my parents, who live out of town, were involved with every step of the process. Jeanne and her team were professional, responsive and so incredibly supportive throughout our entire planning process and event. We relied heavily on Jeanne’s industry knowledge to help plan every detail of the event. Gourmet’s standards are top notch, therefore we were completely at ease the day of our wedding, knowing that every guest was given the white glove treatment. In addition to the quality service, the food was DELICIOUS! Jeanne worked with us to customize a menu that was out of this world! The variety of hors d'oeuvres was plentiful and ensured every guest would be satisfied (even those picky eaters!) The main course was a meal I am still dreaming about! Our guests could not stop raving about how the meals were not the typical “wedding meals”, but rather entrees that could be served at a 5-star restaurant. I could truly go on and on about how wonderful it was to work with Jeanne and the staff at Gourmet Caterers. plan the wedding we originally wanted on 10.10.2020, GC stepped up and helped us create a magical day - albeit with a vastly reduced guest count of 15 people! Jeanne and her team were SO creative in helping us plan our "micro-wedding", coming up with an incredible menu catered specifically to our needs. Not once did Jeanne say the word "no" to me. It was always, "let's find a way". She made the planning so easy and anxiety-free. GC as a company went above and beyond for us; bringing together local celebrity chefs to help bring our menu to life. We can honestly say that our wedding meal was the best meal we ever had! They truly went above and beyond for us, and the staff day of was so friendly and went out of their way to make our day special. We are so grateful to this AMAZING catering company. 2020 has been a crazy year, with a lot of heartbreak and sadness surrounding planning our wedding, but I could tell all GC cared about was making the day the happiest occasion for us in whatever way possible they could.
