Gourmet Caterers

When I first started planning my wedding, I thought of a caterer as the vendor responsible for food and drink, but I quickly learned that they are so much more. They are truly the backbone of events - coordinating other vendors and helping the day stay on timeline (this is true even if you have a planner/coordinator). We worked with Jeanne Spence leading up to (and on) the big day - and she was terrific to work with from start to finish. Her experience gave us confidence going into the day and it showed through on the day. Now to the food and drink - also excellent! Gourmet worked closely with us to come up with a food and bev plan throughout the planning process and they delivered. Guests were raving about the food - from the signature cocktails to the raw bar and passed apps - through the entrees and dessert - I had guests rave about all aspects of our F&B. So grateful I hired Gourmet!

This past weekend my son got married at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter in Boston. Gourmet Caterers is the designated caterer for that venue so we had no choice but to use them. I cannot say how grateful we are that was our only option because it was clearly the best option. From our first conversation, Jeanne was full of great ideas, listened carefully and was fun to work with. The food and presentation were creative and superb. Our guests were raving! And I can't imagine better desserts at a wedding! They make them at their facility and they are as good as the finest bakeries. Gourmet Caterers is clearly one of the best in Boston and I would recommend them for events large and small.

We cannot say enough good things about working with Beverly and the rest of the Gourmet Caterers crew. She consistently went above and beyond for us with a cool and calm demeanor, taking on many more roles than just the caterer for the day. Everything went smoothly, and the food was exceptional. The service was top notch, from the bar, to the servers walking around with appetizers, presentation of dessert, etc. I would absolutely give them a call again if planning an event with catering needs.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Ann at Gourmet Caterers for our wedding at the Peabody Essex Museum. As a wedding planner planning her own wedding, my now husband and I had lots of questions and specific requests for Gourmet and Ann, and they definitely went above and beyond. Their experience with the intricacies of running a wedding is unmatched. Ann and her team gave us a wonderful tasting experience, and let us customize a few different options to help us make a food and beverage menu individual to our taste. The day of the wedding, Ann was there overseeing it all, and we were told multiple times by our guests not only how good the food was, but how amazing the service was! My now husband and I were never wanting for a beverage, and they even packed us up a whole dessert platter to go for us to take on our minimoon. While Gourmet is the exclusive caterer for PEM, we were so lucky to get to work with Ann, and I imagine we would have chosen them regardless!

Jeanne and the Gourmet Caterer team were phenomenal for our October wedding. Gourmet is the exclusive vendor with our venue, Artists for Humanity Epicenter in South Boston, and it is clear why. The service leading up to the big day was professional and polished, and the variety of options were all delicious. I was especially impressed by their vegetarian and gluten-free options for our guests with dietary restrictions. Those dishes were some of my favorite and did not skimp on quality for our black tie event. Our guests raved about the food and I know they weren't just being nice because every plate was empty after dinner. I would happily use them again for any other event and have already recommended them to friends. Go with Gourmet, you won't regret it!

We were so lucky that Gourmet was the exclusive caterer at our venue. They were easy to work with and our guests said they have never had a better dinner at a wedding! They took all our requests and preferences very seriously and we really appreciated that.

We worked with Jeanne and team for our wedding and they were fantastic. The knowledge of the space and attention to detail ensured the room came out exactly like we wanted. We've received feedback from multiple guests that it was the best wedding food they had ever experienced.

Gourmet Caterers offered fun, fresh, delicious options - but I want to especially highlight the exceptional quality of service, which involved a team that allowed us a pleasantly hands-off wedding day and a full, reliable team. The initial tasting was an absolute delight and a special day in and of itself, and was to our immense relief that everything we sampled was terrific. On the day, Pam, our assigned team member, was beyond tremendous at making sure the bride and I had drinks, food, and space at all times. If you want to know how terrific Pam's service was, I am here to report that we may be the first bride and groom who got to eat everything at the wedding and were full at the end of the day! Allergies were accounted for, our needs were met, and the guests reported it was some of the best catering they'd had at a wedding before. There is no denying that Gourmet Caterers is a bigger-ticket option than some other catering options, but you without a doubt get what you pay for - ESPECIALLY in the support we were offered by Ann, Isabella, and Pam.

We had the privilege of having Gourmet Caterers as our caterer for our recent fall wedding in Salem MA and we cannot recommend them enough! The entire team was the epitome of professional and personable which made planning a breeze. A special shout out goes to Ann who handled our event and was extremely on top of everything! She and the rest of the team were super responsive and had a wealth of experience that made it so easy to plan and execute day-of. The food as well is simply amazing. We had so many family and friends mention to us that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, hands down, and we agree while heartedly. The fact that they offered seasonal & local menu choices helped complement our fall themed New England wedding and made the entire event feel that much more cohesive. Finally, the team was able to execute any food requests with no issues, allowing us to alter one of the main courses so it was entirely gluten free for everyone, and just as tasty! Overall, we highly recommend Gourmet Caterers for both excellent service and top-tier food which will make your wedding day one that your guests will be talking about long after!

Cannot recommend Gourmet enough. The food is simply outstanding. Good food and beverage was my husband and I's number one concern for our wedding without a doubt. We wanted great food and a variety that could cater to all tastes, and Gourmet knocked it out of the park! We worked with Ann at Gourmet and she was with us every step of the way. She helped answer all our questions and guide us in our decision making based on what we wanted for our day. The tasting was of course a ton of fun and I was blown away by the quality of the food. And it absolutely did not waver on the day of. You could've cut the short rib with a spoon, the vegetarian options were lovely and didn't feel like an afterthought, the variety of passed hor d'oeurves was amazing and covered classics and creative new takes. The dessert offerings were also delectable. A thin cookie that is also somehow still chewy? Magic! Hire Gourmet!

Gourmet Caterers was above and beyond excellent in all ways. Incredible high quality food with classics and unique options to choose from combined to make your wedding experience truly yours. Ann Messina who interfaced with us was so excellent. She deftly communicated with our venue, my husband and I, our families, and planner with ease and grace. In addition as a bride traveling from out of state, they worked with our schedule in order to have our taste testing. They plated everything so beautifully and made even that experience so special for our us and our families. Our wedding was flawless, everything came out on time, was perfectly cooked, and was delicious. All waitstaff were so accommodating and our guests with allergies had their needs mets (ie gluten roll was at our guest's table wo question or issue). Thank you Gourmet for all you do! I would look no further than Gourmet Caterers for your wedding.

I got married at the Peabody Essex Museum where Gourmet Caterers is their exclusive caterer and I can see why! The food was amazing and Ann was such a joy to work with through the whole process. Even when something tiny came up Ann was right on top of communicating with us and making sure we were all set. The waitstaff were phenomenal at our wedding and were really helpful and made my wedding turn out perfectly.

The food and service were outstanding. Ann and her team were incredibly responsive, very easy to work with. Our guests raves about the food!

Gourmet and Jeanne were absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding at Artist’s for Humanity! Jeanne made the whole planning process a breeze, and was there to make sure everything ran seamlessly the day of. We have not stopped getting compliments about the delicious food, amazing wait staff, and wonderful details that’s Gourmet put together that day. We feel so lucky and privileged that they were in charge of our special day and would recommend them for any and all events!!!

Jeanne and her team at Gourmet ensured our day was absolutely perfect down to the last detail. They were extremely accommodating and communicative throughout the entire process. My daughter's wedding was flawless. The food was absolutely wonderful and the set up of the room - Artists for Humanity in Boston could not have been more gorgeous. Gourmet took care of every detail and the wedding was everything my daughter and her groom dreamed of. Right down to the hidden bottle of my favorite wine hidden for me at the bar. That's detail. Professionalism, class, attention to every request, response time - if you gave me a list I would check 5 stars on all of them. I would hire them again and will recommend to anyone who asks. Jeanne Spence is a dream to work with. She's kind of like family now. The whole team was just wonderful.

Why not six? Mother of the Bride here - still on cloud nine from a fabulous wedding of our daughter, Hannah , to Mike. The wedding was at Artists for Humanity and things could not have gone any better. From the smiles we received from the waitstaff as we walked in, to the very last goodbyes, we felt like we were not just in professional hands, but caring and joyful hands! That special care started a long time ago, and we knew, from our tasting in March, that we (and our guests), were in for a treat. It wasn't just the food - (delicious as it was) - it was the interest Jeanne and Gail showed in Hannah and Mike - how they met, what kind of night they were hoping for, and obviously, what kind of food they like. We were offering "kosher style" food for our guests, (no shellfish or beef, chicken or pork) but we had a lot of options to choose from! In fact - the vegetarian option was so yummy some of us ordered it even though we're not vegetarian. (The Cod dish Hannah and Mike chose for was also delicious). The food was phenomenal, plentiful, and beautifully displayed. Jeanne was extremely helpful in helping us figure out timing - including a few surprises (flash mob!) we had planned for Hannah and Mike. And the extra touches! We expected Hannah and Mike to be treated like royalty but WE were treated like royalty too! Amah (Amarh?) looked after us the entire night. She set aside a special plate of hors doeuvres set aside for us during the cocktail hour, because she knew we'd be chatting. She remembered what drinks we drank during the cocktail hour (which she brought to us) and replenished them throughout the night! All of the waitstaff were top notch. Jeanne checked in with us throughout the night and it made for a very, very fun and stress free night. The affogato bar was a huge hit, and, she sent us home with the most scrumptious desserts! I highly recommend Gourmet Caterers.

We had very high expectations when we hired Gourmet Caterers for our wedding, and they did not disappoint! All the food was phenomenal, from the hor d'oeuvres to the entrees to the desserts. Not only was the food delicious, it was plated beautifully and added to the elegant aesthetic we were aiming for. The service was exceptional as well. ---------- The tasting was easily our favorite wedding-planning activity, and Gourmet made it difficult to narrow the choices down. Since we were having a big wedding cake, we weren't planning on offering additional desserts, but Gourmet's were so good we had to get them too. ---------- Jeannie and team were very accommodating and so easy to work with. Because we were having an outdoor wedding in the summer, we weren't interested in a stationary display. She offered to swap it out for more appetizers (yes please!). Jeannie is a true professional who really knows her stuff, and planning was a cinch. We couldn't recommend Gourmet more highly.

The food and beverage were phenomenal. They worked with us to make sure we had unforgettable her/his specialty cocktails (named after our cats Zeus and Eros) and our favorite cidery, Downeast Cider. We also added late-night bites rather than a station during cocktail hour. People loved all the food and appreciated that it was all fresh and well-cooked (not typical mass catering). They were very good with and took seriously the GF option (artichoke croquette that was also vegan) since we had multiple people with celiac's disease in attendance.

Our wedding was so stress-free, it was hard to believe! Part of what made it so spectacular were the vendors we chose. Gourmet Caterers came as a "package deal" with our venue, the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem MA. From day one, Ann and the amazing people at GC were there to talk us through everything. To help us pick an appropriate menu, to assist us with the timing of the reception, to brainstorm the perfect "dessert table." Our tasting was ... out of this world. We were able to bring one of our Persons of Honor and her husband. They were married a few years ago and said they wish they had a caterer like GC. They brought out a plate with all of the hors d'oeuvres we were considering and then we were each given a small tasting plate of each of the three entrees we had chosen. Followed by a plate of all of the small dessert options. Not only that, but we were given wine pairings for each course and then they brought out a "doggy bag" of everything for us to take home to help us make our decisions!! So much food! We had a number of guests tell us that they were relieved not to be served "wedding food" at the wedding, haha. These are not high-volume, dry and bland event meals ... these are delicious plates of gourmet food.

No detail was left out from these wedding professionals. They were so thorough, helpful, professional, and personal through the whole process. Our guests were raving the next day (and beyond) about the food and the service they received. What a treat it was to work with Gourmet.

Gourmet Caterers was so amazing to work with for our wedding!! Jeanne was helpful, knowledgable and professional throughout the planning process and the food was so delicious! The tasting was one of the best parts of planning, we felt so spoiled to get to taste and enjoy all the delicious foods, and they even accommodated our ask to make lobster rolls for cocktail hour. Another clever perk was that all weddings get a "bridal attendant" so that the bride (and groom) have someone bringing them food and water/drinks throughout the night so that we could enjoy every minute but still enjoy all the food! The staff was truly incredible and the planning team is so experienced! We loved working with Gourmet.

Not only was the food absolutely mouth-watering, but Ann and her team were so lovely to work with. They were responsive, flexible, and able to offer gluten free options as well as meet other guest dietary restrictions. If you're looking for incredible food that you will spend months dreaming about, look no further! Thank you Ann!

We had the pleasure to work with Jeanne Spence from Gourmet Caterers for my daughter’s wedding at the Connors Center. From the beginning of our discussions till the end she went above and beyond in the whole process! Always professional, punctual and giving us the best advice. On the wedding night Chrissy and the team that worked were also the best. The appetizers, entrees and desserts were delicious and was displayed most beautiful! Fantastic planning by Jeanne Spence and team. Wedding reception was delayed twice due to Covid, they picked up seamlessly in 2021 and finally happened in May 2022. Every little detail was taken care of. Great food, bar tending, event staff and lead managers. Warm, friendly and well trained, also masked ! Especially appreciated them making up plates of food for parents and bride and groom, to make sure they got to sample the offerings ! Highly recommend them !!

We had the pleasure of working with Jeanne at Gourmet Caterers to plan our dream menu for our wedding at Artists for Humanity. We shared with her that we have a food blog called Date Night in Boston and would love to have some inspired moments based on our favorite nights out in Boston. She was absolutely incredible to work with creatively through the process and gave us all sorts of options of how we could make it special and specific to us. Our guests are still raving about all of it! From start to finish, Gourmet Caterers was phenomenal to work with. We worked primarily with Jeanne Spence, who is so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. She is a true pro, who knows the business and wedding industry inside and out. She referred us to a number of vendors, provided us with guidance throughout the planning process, and ensured that our wedding day ran extremely smoothly (I couldn't pick out a flaw in their service and preparations if I tried!). And she is just a lovely person and put us at ease if we were ever stressed. The food at our wedding was delicious and the Gourmet staff were extremely kind and attentive throughout the evening. A number of guests commented on both the quality of the food and how helpful the staff was. I could not recommend Gourmet highly enough - they are the best of the best!

Not only did Jeanne and her team pay attention to every single detail, deliver exceptional service, and kept our guests happy and full throughout our wedding, they also did it all with a smile and good attitude during the craziest of times to be a catering company! We had the pleasure of working with Gourmet Caterers for our wedding at Artists for Humanity back in June and we couldn't have been happier! Not only was the food absolutely incredible, but the service was also fantastic. We worked with Courtney throughout the wedding planning process and she couldn't have been more accommodating. Not only did she help with the catering aspect, but she also helped with our day-of timeline, floor plan, and seamless transition between the ceremony and reception, which were being held in the same space. Because of Courtney and her team at Gourmet, our special day was absolutely perfect and everything we had dreamed of!

My husband and I were one of the many couples who were forced to postpone our July 2020 wedding for a year. As our July 2021 date was quickly approaching, the COVID restrictions in the city of Boston were not easing up, therefore we made the tough decision to switch our venue three months before our wedding date. I was uneasy (okay, totally terrified) with the idea of re-planning our entire wedding, however, my worries vanished the minute I got off the phone with Jeanne. Jeanne was extremely accommodating to our tight timeline and ensured that my parents, who live out of town, were involved with every step of the process. Jeanne and her team were professional, responsive and so incredibly supportive throughout our entire planning process and event. We relied heavily on Jeanne’s industry knowledge to help plan every detail of the event. Gourmet’s standards are top notch, therefore we were completely at ease the day of our wedding, knowing that every guest was given the white glove treatment. In addition to the quality service, the food was DELICIOUS! Jeanne worked with us to customize a menu that was out of this world! The variety of hors d'oeuvres was plentiful and ensured every guest would be satisfied (even those picky eaters!) The main course was a meal I am still dreaming about! Our guests could not stop raving about how the meals were not the typical “wedding meals”, but rather entrees that could be served at a 5-star restaurant. I could truly go on and on about how wonderful it was to work with Jeanne and the staff at Gourmet Caterers. Choosing Gourmet Caterers was hands-down the best decision we made, I truly can not recommend enough! Thank you for making our day absolutely perfect!

Gourmet Caterers came through for me and my husband in a way I could never anticipate or expect. As 2020 carried on and it became more apparent that we were not going to be able to plan the wedding we originally wanted on 10.10.2020, GC stepped up and helped us create a magical day - albeit with a vastly reduced guest count of 15 people! Jeanne and her team were SO creative in helping us plan our "micro-wedding", coming up with an incredible menu catered specifically to our needs. Not once did Jeanne say the word "no" to me. It was always, "let's find a way". She made the planning so easy and anxiety-free. GC as a company went above and beyond for us; bringing together local celebrity chefs to help bring our menu to life. We can honestly say that our wedding meal was the best meal we ever had! They truly went above and beyond for us, and the staff day of was so friendly and went out of their way to make our day special. We are so grateful to this AMAZING catering company. 2020 has been a crazy year, with a lot of heartbreak and sadness surrounding planning our wedding, but I could tell all GC cared about was making the day the happiest occasion for us in whatever way possible they could. THANK YOU!

Jeanne and her team are first-class all the way! We had an intimate wedding with our immediate family (16 guests) due to COVID, and Jeanne always made me feel like I was just as important as a bride with 160 guests! From her help coordinating my vendors to setting everything up the day of the wedding, it was like she was my wedding planner. I can say enough on the presentation and how delicious the food was. My husband is a foodie, and Jeanne and her team made all suggestions to our menu my husband made. Thank you so much for making our day so perfect!

Gourmet Caterers did an exceptional job! Jeanne Spence, our coordinator, was unwavering in her professional support. She was pleasant and easy to work with, knowing what we wanted before we did. The food was exceptional! All GF hors doeuvres were appreciated, gazpacho fresh, lobster salad was plentiful and perfectly cooked. Jeanne went out of her way to prepare mine with butter mmmmmm. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked with attention to everyone’s preference. Cake was to the brides direction with a little whimsy from the chef. Thank you Jeanne and staff who were the back bone of the event. Always happy and ready to meet our needs.

Gourmet Caterers is excellent! Jeanne and Courtney were great to work with. They know all the right questions to ask so that you get exactly what you want. The menu tasting was so much fun and all the food delicious. They made sure everything was perfect on the day of the wedding. It all ran so smoothly and our guests raved about the food! Gourmet Catering was so much more than our caterer for our wedding at AFH! They helped guide us through rentals, vendors, timelines, and not to mention the menu they prepared was fantastic! All our guests keep talking about how much they loved the food and also how great the service was and how phenomenal the bartenders were. The day was such a whirlwind and I am truly grateful to the entire staff that was by our side, making sure everything went smooth. We can't thank Courtney and team enough for every detail, big or small, that went into making our wedding day amazing! Thank you thank you!

Gourmet was *awesome* to work with. We were late in planning and felt like we were on a super short timeline, but Courtney, Jeanne, and the rest of the team assured us everything would be fine and we wouldn't have to worry about a thing. True to their word, everything went off without a hitch. The guests raved about the food (including a pair of people who had a number of dietary restrictions who said it was the best they've ever been taken care of) and we got to enjoy the day to its fullest. They were proactive in planning, incorporated our feedback, and helped out in countless unexpected ways. It was truly a joy to work with them!

Gourmet Caterers catered our wedding at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter in February 2020. They were incredible every step of the way. From the first call I had with Jeanne I hoped we would be able to work together. She was so helpful throughout our wedding planning process, she even went out of her way to suggest a wedding venue that might fit our budget better. Gourmet is really so much more than a catering company, Jeanne and her team were always willing to provide guidance on anything wedding related - from the band we chose to the seating layout to the flow of the overall event. They are experts in their field and know everyone in the Boston wedding circuit. They helped us design a great menu for our wedding, and the food and service was exceptional. We loved the menu tasting at their offices a few months before the wedding, and had so many guests comment on how great the food was at our wedding. We felt relaxed on our wedding day knowing that they had everything under control! We can't thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone considering them for their wedding or any event. I hope to be a guest at a Gourmet wedding in the future so I can experience this all again!

I was nervous when the venue I booked had a designated caterer. I had a clear vision of what I wanted and Gourmet did not disappoint. They worked with me to set up a station style dinner, with a taco stand, slider station and even Moroccan station. They went above and beyond with my request for ice cream sandwiches, AND they partnered with Union Square Donuts for some extra desserts. Working with them was so much fun. My guests are still telling us how much they loved the food!

Gourmet Caterers provided the bar, food service, and set up for our wedding reception at Peabody Essex Museum, and we could not have asked for a more perfect team. Having worked in the food/catering industry myself it is hard to let go and allow someone else to be in charge and execute an event. Without Gourmet, Courtney and Jeanne, I would not have been able to let go and enjoy my wedding as much as I did. From our first initial meetings right up to the end, they were listening and paying attention to the vision for our day. Gourmet was flexible, adjusting menu items to our tastes and preferences, even creating some mini pies for us, instead of the traditional wedding cake. After many back and forth conversations on the phone and via email, we were so thrilled at the tasting that the food was as we envisioned, and tasted even better. From the tasting to our wedding day, I could not wait for the delicious meal that we would get to eat and share with our wedding guests, and again it did not disappoint. Every detail was taken care of and for that I am truly grateful, as we would not have been able to let go and simply enjoy our wedding reception as much as we did. Our guests told us how wonderful the food looked, tasted, and how seamlessly flawless the service was. We can’t thank Courtney enough for being a key part of our team from the very beginning!

If you want the best of the best for your wedding hire Gourmet Caterers. I very rarely comment on food after attending someones wedding and I had multiple people say it was the best food they have had. Jeanne Spence and her team have it down and were great to work with. The food tasting was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. Everything we tasted was DELICIOUS..I could have eaten it all day and on the day of our wedding Jeanne made sure her staff was so attentive to me and my husband. We even had our own personal waitress to follow us around during pictures to make sure we didn't miss out on the food and specialty drinks that we had. It was top notch! I highly recommend Gourmet for your wedding, you will not be disappointed!!!

Gourmet Caterers is THE BEST! They catered our January 2019 wedding at the Peabody Essex Museum and we were blown away by how outstanding they were. We worked with Jeanne and Courtney and they could not have been kinder, more flexible, and more attentive from our first emails straight through to the wedding day. They are truly gems! Jeanne and Courtney worked flawlessly with our venue and helped out so much with many of the day-of logistics all from setting a timeline for the day through to the smallest of details. And the food! This is not wedding food, this is outstanding restaurant-quality food. Our guests were so happy (and my husband and I still talk about the food!). Gourmet was also able to easily accommodate several of our guests dietary restrictions as well. I know a lot of couples are worried about not eating at their own wedding, but you cannot help but sit and eat during dinner when Gourmet caters your event--it is far too good to miss! I cannot recommend them more highly--you will be so happy!!

Jeanne, Courtney and the Gourmet Team blew our guests away with the quality of their food. As we desired, the appetizers were really special. The dinner was spectacular, with a really high quality first course in addition to delicious mains. They have a team which is able to bring a portable commercial kitchen to the venue and make it on site. This is key to having high quality good: it is made fresh and close to the plates, rather than made ahead of time and kept warm. Equally important, they were patient in guiding we who were novices with regards weddings. They were a pleasure to work with. Their staff is important to the experience on the day of the event, and they were superb.

I cannot say enough about Gourmet Caterers! Jeanne and Courtney truly made our big day...and so much planning leading up to the day...truly special! We held our wedding at a venue that wasn't a traditional wedding location, so there were a lot of design and planning decisions involved. They helped us with planning and narrowing in on other vendors, ensuring that so much of our planning process was stress free. Choosing our dinner and cocktail hour menu was incredible - and everything was so delicious on the day-of. So many of our guests are *still* raving about how incredible the food was! To top it all off, they made the day-of special for us, ensuring that everything ran smoothly from start to finish and that we could enjoy ourselves (and eat)! Thank you, Gourmet, for everything!

Delectable. Memorable. Creative. Exciting. Delicious Jeanne Spence and her team at Gourmet Caterers created a memorable and truly special five course meal with wine pairings for our wedding reception. This was NOT your regular old wedding chicken! My husband and I are foodies so naturally we wanted our wedding meal to be unforgettable and special for our guests. He is Italian and I am Puerto Rican and we wanted our cultural traditions to be present in the menu. We worked with Chef Dave to create something really special. The amuse bouche was a fried plantain, the first course was a sunchoke soup that guests are STILL talking about, the second course was a carbonara, the third course was a latin spiced filet, and the dessert course was an italian gelato with espresso beans and salted carmel. YUM! We had french service for the soup and the dessert that delighted our guests. They did an excellent job of assuring that everyone's meat was at a temperature preferred by the guest. They gave our menu to a sommelier to pick out wine pairings for each course that brought out the flavor even more. My belly is happy just thinking about it. Gourmet is not your average caterer.. they go above and beyond to excite the tastebuds and provide you and your guests with a memorable experience. All of the servers went above and beyond-- the steward even helped me hold my dress so it wouldn't get ruined in the rain and held umbrellas for people all while we were taking photos. She was like our maid of honor and best man! We loved working with Jeanne Spence. Her spunk, energy, attention to detail, love of weddings, love of food, honesty, and genuineness made the planning fun! We really appreciate everything that she did for us. She was conscious of our budget and did everything to make our vision happen within that budget, in suggesting linens, size table, and floral decor that would make the space perfect and affordable. She truly cares about us as a couple and as people, and we consider her now a new friend. When all other caterers say no, Gourmet says yes. We are so grateful and will use them again in the future (baptisms, birthdays, anniversaries, showers, etc). They are simply the best.

You know it's good when guests are telling you it's "the best wedding food I've ever had"! Absolutely everything was delicious and professionally presented. The staff were obviously well-trained, professional and courteous. No complaints whatsoever! Highly recommend!

Working with Gourmet was another one of those "best decisions" we made in our planning process. Jeanne, who was our point person, was professional, practical, and made us feel like what we wanted mattered. She didn't try to make us do things that we didn't want, and listened to our vision and theme. She was easy to get a hold of, answered all of our questions, and made our wedding day seamless! I felt at ease knowing that Jeanne was in control because she is super-organized and knew us as a couple. And the food!!! Absolutely fantastic! I loved working with Jeanne Spence at Gourmet Caterers. She is the absolute best and runs the show! I came across Gourmet Caterers on The Knot and decided to give them a ring. Jeanne was my sole point of contact from the consultation all the way through my wedding day. She helped me, not only with my food selection, but with various other non-food related questions. Her professionalism showed every step of the way and was extremely personal. I can rave a long time about Jeanne's service but let's get to the food! It was absolutely scrumptious! My fiancé and I went into our tasting not knowing what to expect. We came out blown away. Jeanne had arranged our personal tasting at her office location where we were greeted to a lovely wedding-style setting, server and custom menu. She ensured that we not only tasted the food but got a true sample of what our day-of experience would be like. We booked Gourmet immediately! It was our first and only tasting since it far exceeded our expectations in taste and performance. We couldn't stop talking about the food after we left the tasting and a few days post! I can't speak highly enough of my experience since it was absolutely flawless. We had a seated dinner and the entire staff was professional, friendly and courteous. Jeanne always reassured me she had everything under control and she was right - I didn't have to lift a finger and everyone & everything was taken care of. My guests raved about their dinners but I heard some got full just from the cocktail hour because the food was too delicious to stop eating! Good problem to have :) I highly recommend Gourmet to any bride/groom looking for a partner on their wedding day!
