bsite. We explained to them what we were looking for in our menu, and they put together an awesome menu for a proposal that perfectly fit what we wanted. There were cheddar biscuits, a grilled peach and pecan salad, beef tenderloin, chicken dijon, mashed potatoes, and green beans. We were able to do a tasting at their location in Austin, and the food was AMAZING. We brought along a couple of family members for the tasting and they loved the food too. Gourmet Gals asked for feedback on each item so that they could adjust based on our feedback.
They also worked with us to accommodate vegan and vegetarian guests, as well as a guest with a severe dairy allergy. They made sure that each guest had their dietary needs met, and completely separately prepared items where cross-contamination would be an issue. The vegan/vegetarian options included some of the above menu items as well as penne with tomato sauce, quinoa stuffed bell peppers, and rosemary roasted potatoes.
The day of our wedding, the Gourmet Gals crew were super professional. They had worked with info from a Pinterest board we had to make sure that the buffet table matched our theme, and they did a great job. The food was so good. Multiple guests commented on how good the food was. The beef tenderloin was so tender and juicy (even when we microwaved it the next day as leftovers). I personally am not a huge fan of red meat, but their beef tenderloin may have convinced me otherwise.
At the end of the night, they worked with our wedding coordinator to make sure two meals and some cake were in our getaway car. We were so glad that they thought of this and thoroughly enjoyed eating the leftovers once we got back home the next day while we discussed everything that happened at our wedding.
Overall, we’d highly recommend Gourmet Gals to any couple getting married in Austin. Their experience in the wedding industry shows through their delicious food and impeccable professionalism.

The reason I dinged a star was that, in the last month leading up to our wedding, I caught multiple issues with our order. The vegan option on the menu had been changed without alerting me and after I had already ordered printed menus. The rental numbers (linens, napkins, utensils) were also off. Both of these issues were corrected after I pointed them out and the owner personally called me to apologize, but it was a headache I would have rather avoided.

The buffet ran smoothly and quickly, it seemed to only take a song or two for everyone to be fed. Additionally, they were so attentive to us as the bride and groom ensuring that we had full plates first and stopping by our table every so often to make sure we didn't need or want seconds of anything. Everyone says you don't get to eat the food at your wedding, but Gourmet Gals made sure we were full before all the dancing began. As if that wasn't enough, they even packed us a go bag with two full plates of food, some of the passed appetizers, a slice of the bride and groom cake, and a bottle of bubbles for us to celebrate with that night.
We booked the Gourmet Gals as the all-inclusive option with The Terrace Club and everything with the planning went so smooth and perfect its hard to believe.

I have been in the wedding industry as a coordinator for 15 years, and when it came time to plan my own wedding, it was really important to me to choose vendors that I had a personal relationship with and who were among the top 1% in the industry for what they do. I never even considered anyone else to cater our big day because of how phenomenal Gourmet Gals is at what they do. The menu planning is so easy and you even get to go in for a personal representative tasting to get a feel for what your guests will experience on the wedding day. The catering and presentation on the day of the wedding was top notch and my guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was. I had so many people tell me that it was the best wedding food they had ever had (which I also hear every weekend from guests at my client's weddings)!! ls delivered. I will admit that we hesitated initially because the food they often serve is typical American or southern/Texas-style food and we were looking for more Asian-fusion style food. We spoke with both the owner Sherrie and Chef Mark on the phone and they listened carefully to our vision. We were completely blown away at our tasting and regretted ever questioning them in the first place. The food at our wedding was fantastic - they captured the Asian-fusion flavors with sake marinated sea bass, char siu beef tenderloin, and lots of delicious vegetables such as a balsamic strawberry salad, crispy brussel sprouts, and french green beans in oyster and sriracha sauces. These may not sound exciting but they really cooked and flavored the veggies to perfection. The sea bass was probably the biggest hit and we received endless compliments about it. The appetizers were also delicious with lots of variety, including watermelon feta skewers, asian crab poppers, lime cilantro shrimp, and chicken satay. Gourmet Gals is so flexible and they can really create anything that you wish - they have endless lists of different things they can make and they're also open to new things and are willing to accommodate almost any request from the client. No matter what type of food you're looking for, definitely give these guys a chance - you won't be disappointed.

Delaney was so incredibly responsive to my many emails and calls - and she also worked with my (now) mother-in-law to help her with the rehearsal dinner. The chicken and steak entrees we had were delicious - but the vegetarian entree options Gourmet Gals created for both nights blew our minds - most caterers don't do vegetarian very well - but GG most certainly did!
