We had only done one tasting at a different bakery prior to Gourmet Goodies, and we felt pretty underwhelmed by the selections and the lack of customer service. I had seen numerou...
s members on this Facebook group mention Gourmet Goodies – upon visiting their website, we were excited about the options and pricings, so we wanted to experience the cake taste testing. Debra worked with our availability and scheduled us for a Monday afternoon – when we arrived, we were confused by the closed sign, but then the door opened, and Debra warmly welcomed us in with a table set up for us. We had no idea that Gourmet Goodies is typically closed on Mondays, so we were truly touched by her gesture to allow us to experience what they have to offer! We were offered several cake and pastry selections, and when I asked whether they made macarons, she happily brought some out for us to taste and take home! Debra listened to our vision, gave us so much information and suggestions based on our guest count, and even gave us tips and questions to ask our other vendors (e.g., whether our venue’s staff trays pastries or not). She gave us a month to hold our date, giving us time to think before putting down a deposit while feeling reassured that Gourmet Goodies wouldn’t be booked by others during this timeframe. We ended up not looking at any other places and felt so confident going with Gourmet Goodies!
Debra answered all of my questions finalizing our pastry selections leading up to two weeks before our wedding day, and it was amazing that she had several GF and vegan options for our guests! While we did not try most of our pastry selections beforehand, it was certainly a hit among our guests because we didn’t get to eat any of them! Our wedding cake was perfect – it was super moist and flavorful (hazelnut cake with mocha filling) and exactly how we envisioned it and asked for (two-tier cake with lightly textured buttercream frosting and dainty floral decorations from Hopper Hills)! We also had the Gourmet Goodies staff tray our pastries, and they did an amazing job with it (they worked with our pastry table that had our wooden cake tray and place cards I made for the desserts)! Thank you Debra and Gourmet Goodies for being so talented and detail-oriented, and of course for all of the delicious desserts!!

ted the cake exactly as I envisioned. I am gluten free, so we did our small cake the gf chocolate and some of the cupcakes the white gluten free. So moist & delicious! We opted to get more cupcakes then she recommended and less of the small pastry desserts.. which was our only mistake. Should have listened to Deb, all the pastries were gone in a flash and we had lots of left over cupcakes. So happy with how it all turned out. We received so many compliments on the desserts from our guests. Thank you again!

s for each tier. The bakery was very easy to work with and very responsive, especially with the current covid restrictions. We had to change our final guest count 2 weeks before the wedding and Gourmet Goodies didn’t have any issues with it. I would definitely recommend this bakery!

e so delicious! Plus, when we met with them they were able to brainstorm with us and come up with ideas that we wouldn't have even known to ask for. We ended up with a cake more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. My husband and I weren't 100% sure what we wanted for a cake, but leaving the meeting we were so excited and Gourmet Goodies definitely didn't disappoint! Great Job! Looking forward to getting many more cakes here!

bummer was that they were eaten so quickly, my husband and I didn't get to have any!! (Though we did a sampler when choosing desserts, so we had them once before). Second, they were one of the only local places that made Tuxedo and Bride chocolate covered strawberries- and those were also a huge hit. In fact, they were the first dessert we ran out of! We cannot thank them enough for how amazing everything was! HANDS DOWN RECOMMEND.

ur colors, ideas, and the look we were going for, showed us photos of other beautiful cakes that she has made, a proposed a beautiful idea for a cake! All of the flavors we tasted were absolutely delicious. We ended up choosing two different flavors for our tiers. We had a large wedding, so we had her make a 4-tier cake for presentation, and had the remaining servings as “kitchen cakes” or sheet cakes, to cut and serve guests but remain within our budget. It worked out perfectly, and we got so many compliments on how delicious and beautiful the cake was. I also had her make a groom’s cake for me for a surprise for my husband of the Miami dolphins logo. It was picture perfect, and tasted amazing! You won’t be disappointed in working with Deb and Gourmet Goodies!

. Sure enough, I was right. The cake was perfect. Simple, elegant, and styled just as I had hoped without giving many instructions. We didnt get to taste much of it that night, besides what we had shoved in each others faces, but had it for thanksgiving dinner the following week and had leftovers for some time after. Can not compliment it enough. I did have a special request to dye inside of cake wedding colors, which was accomodated! Frosting was great and not too sweet for buttercream which I sometimes get- filling was chocolate and delicious. I highly recommend!

. Unfortunately, when we asked for samples of her pastries to have with our coffee station, they were presented beautifully but were much too sweet. We were glad to have tasted samples first and know that her pastries were too sweet for our liking. I would definitely recommend her for cakes, but not for pastries.
