GQ and the Lady

We booked GQ and the Lady for our wedding this past June and are so glad we did! Linda was great, taking the time to go over the details with us before the wedding day and accommodating requests including a custom medley for the father-daughter dance. (Yes, we were needy… and they took it like champs!) They provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing after dinner and were fantastic throughout. They sounded great, we got lots of compliments from our guests, and best of all, we had a great time dancing!

Seriously guys, you want to hire this band! My husband and I first saw them at the East Bay Grille in Plymouth; we were impressed so we decided to book them for our wedding. When it came time for the wedding WOW! Just WOW! They were so much better than when we saw them at East Bay. They had people on the dance floor the entire night. We chose to do the DJ/Band combo they offer and they did not disappoint! Everyone at the wedding is still raving about how great they were! It was so much fun! I wish I could relive that night all over again! I could go on and on about how great they were but just hire them! You will not be disappointed!

Just amazing!! GQ and the Lady made our wedding so special. Loved the classical guitar for the ceremony, piano for cocktail hour, and the live music for the after dinner dance party was spectacular. So talented- the entire band. Our guests were in awe and had so much fun!! Linda was so easy to work with and offered all the guidance we needed every bit of the way. So accommodating since they had to travel on a ferry to our venue (Thank you!!). Very easy to communicate with and just a pleasure!!! HIGHLY Recommend.

This band was AMAZING. The played at my wedding and they had everyone up on the dance floor including myself! Extremely fun and energetic and the music was perfect! Extremely impressed with them! Very happy with my decision to use them for my wedding.

GQ and the Lady is THE ABSOLUTE BEST. The most legitimate wedding band I have ever witnessed. I got married on 9/1/18 and worked with Linda and her team for just about a year leading up to our wedding. Linda is so kind, easy going, and supportive. She was willing to make any adjustments to accommodate our vision. Our guests were completely blown away by their talent. They do an amazing job of knowing exactly what type of music to play based on the vibe of your guests. I truly can't say enough good things--they were without question the highlight of our wedding, I would highly recommend booking them ASAP. We could not have been happier.

I had the pleasure of having GQ and the Lady perform at my wedding. Linda was amazing to work with, she offered suggestions and assisted with the flow of the reception. We asked the band to learn two songs and they were flawless. Our music selection ranged from rock and roll to disco. The band didnt miss a beat. Our guests danced all night long . I could not have been happier. Thank you for a memorable evening.

We absolutely loved having GQ and the Lady play a part in our wedding. We initially selected the band because we enjoyed watching their fun and energetic renditions of both new and old songs on their website. But just as importantly, Linda and her team were very easy to work with during the months leading up to the big day, and we found her to be responsive and generous with her time when it came to planning wedding day logistics and picking out songs. And once the band started to play - everyone went crazy! Many of our guests (some of whom pride themselves on being armchair music critics and snobs) told us that the band was one of the best, if not THE best, wedding band they had seen. We also found their price to be a total bargain - we ended up going with the 2 hour live band and 2 hour DJ package, and the team did a great job emceeing the dinner hour, first dances and toasts before the live music kicked off. We can’t say enough good things about GQ and the Lady and we heartily recommend them for any type of big party or family event!

GQ and the Lady is amazing and we were so lucky to have had them perform on our special day at the end of last month. Two members of the band played for the ceremony then we had a trio for cocktail hour and dinner, followed by the six piece band for cake and dancing! They were really easy to work with and stellar performers. Everyone at the wedding danced up a storm and asked me who the band was, because they were so impressed. This band is the real deal!

GQ and the Lady surpassed our expectations at our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The beautiful ceremony music by Ben (piano) and Alex (guitar) made walking down the aisle that much more special. We had a DJ/band combo during our reception, and Linda and the band were very flexible with our dinner requests and special dances. Mike (the drummer) is an incredible DJ, and he brought our guests to the dance floor right away. Our last two hours included music from the whole band, and the dance floor was filled for the whole evening. We have seen GQ and the Lady perform so many times, but we were blown away by how amazing their sound and the set list were. Our guests can’t stop raving about the band’s talent and the amazing show! We had so much fun with GQ and the Lady for our June 2017 wedding on the Cape. They have such a great sound and kept us dancing all night. We live in NYC and didn't even have a chance to see them live before booking them, but they have such a great reputation and did not disappoint! The guitarist for the band also played for our ceremony, which I have received so many compliments on. Thanks guys!

We had GQ and the Lady play at our wedding on May 20 and they were absolutely fantastic. They were extremely professional in every aspect and Linda was very easy to work with. The band had our guests dancing throughout the entire reception. They were able to quickly feel out the crowd and find the perfect mix of genres. It looked like the band was having a blast while playing and you could feel this unbelievable energy on the dance floor because of it. It has been a month since the wedding and our guests are still telling us about how awesome the band was. I cannot recommend them enough!

Everyone loved GQ and the Lady at our wedding! Linda was very easy to work work and responsive over email, in addition to setting us up with additional audio equipment. A friend of mine also sang at the wedding, and she was able to coordinate easily with the band to make sure everything was in key. Our reception took place in a large pub with outdoor wrap around porch, and whether guests were dancing on the floor or chatting on the porch, we had many guests come up to us praising the band!

Hire this band right now!! They had our dance floor packed in the first 30 seconds of the wedding. I highly highly recommend them! Linda the band leader is so incredibly responsive which during an extensive wedding planning process is extremely refreshing, she makes planning easy. She was open and flexible to our ideas and was willing to learn a special song for my dad. She was professional throughout and so amazing on the day of. She greeted me with a big hug and was so on top of every detail. Like I said prior, the dance floor was packed in the first 30 seconds of the evening and it never stopped. People danced all night long and after the event everyone wanted the band's information. They had an incredible performance and again made the entire process so enjoyable. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have the best band for their big day!!!

We had our wedding in Newport, RI at Belle Mer and GQ and the Lady were our band. A friend of the family had recommended this band after having them at their wedding. We had high expectations after hearing such amazing prior reviews and they more than lived up to them! The vocalists were amazing! They had people up and dancing the entire night!! Its amazing the variety of songs they are able to play....everything from "Uptown Funk" to "Livin on a Prayer" to "Proud Mary" to "My Wish". They even learned the song we picked for our first dance! We could not have been more impressed or happy with the choice to book GQ and the Lady for our wedding!

GQ and the Lady are absolutely amazing. We could not have asked for a better band for our reception on October 12, 2014. They also provided live music for our ceremony (guitar) and cocktail hour (piano), which we received so many compliments from guests. They had the dance floor full the entire evening and I don't believe the night would have been the same without them. There playlist was great- covered current hits to any guest requests. Linda was extremely professional, easy to talk to, and always reachable. If you are having a New England wedding I can't recommend a better band than GQ & the Lady.

We were beyond happy with GQ and the Lady!! They were a blast to have and my husband and I definitely agree that they were worth every penny. They played fantastic music throughout our whole night. We loved what they did for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They also brought down the house at our reception. They played a GREAT mix of songs (so many genres) that kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night.... Old and young! We didn't stop! Everyone that we talk to about our wedding comments about how awesome the band was and how much fun they had! They are an extremely talented group of people. When planning our wedding it was a big priority of ours to have great entertainment so that we and all of our guests could have the best party! GQ and the Lady definitely delivered that and more. We had our wedding at Mechanics Hall in July 2013 and tossed around the idea of a DJ for a bit...but you really can't let that stage go to waste. We had to go with a band. We found GQ through my sister, actually, who is friends with their sound man. Since my now husband and I live out of state we sent my parents and a trusted aunt to see the band. They LOVED them and said we had to book them -- so we did. :-) And boy was that a good decision. Linda was great to work with -- really laid back but at the same time so competent. Exactly what you need to stay relaxed before the wedding. The band sounded great and even learned a song for us. EVERYONE who I've talked to about the wedding has said, more than any other feature, what a great band!! They kept people up dancing and seemed to read the crowd well. I wish I'd had more time to talk with them because they just seemed cool to hang out with too :-P. No complaints at all. A little expensive, but as my husband says "You've gotta pay to play." And they were worth every penny.

G and the Lady Band were amazing because of the simple fact that they can sing! So many wedding bands that we listened to were ok, but not great. As soon as I heard the sample songs on GQ and the Lady's website, I knew we had to book them. They really added to the party atmosphere of the wedding!

GQ and the Lady are amazing! They played at my wedding last month. So many guests came up to my husband and I asking who the band was and where we found them! They kept the crowd dancing all night long! Linda, the lead singer, was very organized as well. She contacted the event coordinator where we held our wedding months prior to the big day. She also had me fill out a worksheet specifying exactly how the night would go as far as introductions, cake cutting and special dances. GQ and the Lady is definitely the wedding band to hire!

GQ was the hit of the wedding!!! The amount of guests who came up to me and RAVED about them was tremendous and made me feel so proud! From the first time I heard them live in public, I knew I would be booking them for my wedding one day...and I did and could not have made a BETTER DECISION! Linda and the boys...thank you so much for all the fun, life, entertainment and finesse you added to the most important and memorable night of my life.
