Gracefully Jules Wedding Planning

We hired Jules as our day of coordinator and would not recommend her services. As we only used her day of services, my wife and I developed most of the vision and decoration plan ourselves. During our meetings leading up to our wedding with Jules, it seemed that she had a strong grasp on how we wanted the day to go and what we needed from her. It turns out this was not the case. To start off, she was 20 minutes late to our rehearsal as all of our family stood around waiting. As the groom the next day, I was setting things up that she had assured us she would be able to complete (and hadn’t) just minutes before the guests were arriving. The tables were not set up at all when guest were arriving and she even asked us if we even needed to put out all of the types of glassware we had rented. It was overall a fairly low production wedding and the tables were her only job prior to the guests arriving. She also failed to put out the signs we had spent time designing and ordering (welcome sign, table charts, etc.) which would have taken all of 60 seconds. During the wedding, I only ever saw her standing around and chatting with the other vendors. We were obviously a bit distracted in the moment, but multiple friends and family members told us they were shocked at how little she was doing. When it came time to cut the cake, she had told us the DJ would be announcing it to the crowd and to make our way over, but when we had cut it she hadn’t thought to grab any fork or plates for us to place the cake on leading to an awkward moment where thankfully one of our moms stepped in. I would expect much more than the services we got for $1,000 for one day of work. Jules made us feel comfortable and confident in her leading up to our wedding, but in the end it feels that the money we spent on her was not worth it at all.

Jules is a true professional! We worked with her on a wedding we did video for. She is organized and so friendly. She made our job so much easier and can tell the couple enjoyed having her as their planner too. Would highlight recommend!

TL;DR - Jules is such an incredible coordinator. Great personality and amazing work ethic. People keep saying I planned a great wedding, but I told them I wouldn't have made it go as smoothly and perfectly without her in the background. For my wedding, I did all the research and booking and whatnot. But she was always available if I had random questions, needed suggestions, or I needed help with dealing with the other vendors. Honestly though, booking people and researching was the easy part. She was a HUGE party in making things come together for the day of. I booked her as my "Day of" wedding planner and she was AMAZING!! Jules is very flexible, creative, and patient. Everyone around me (and myself) were a mixture of frazzled, excited, nervous, upset, very happy, etc. But she was calm and collected the entire time. If I wanted something to happen or something came up, she was on top of making it work. She was talking to every vendor and the venue coordinator to make sure things were on track. If she saw or heard I was getting worked up, she'd let me vent to her and asked if she could help with something. And when there was a lull in festivities, she checked in on me and the groom. She was so kind, respectful, and has a great sense of humor. She blended in just fine at a wedding full of civilian and military drunkards. I highly recommend her as your next event/wedding planner, 100%. I'm a bridesmaid for a wedding next fall and am a guest for one next Spring. I've already recommended her services to them, hahaha. Although, if you DON'T go with her, at least go with SOMEONE because I wasn't going to do it since I had planned and booked everything. But I'm REALLY glad I had her because I was having issues left and right between the vendors, my family, the venue, and my dress. If I had to do what Jules did AND deal with the other stuff, my brain would have imploded.

My fiancé and I got engaged in July 2023 and quickly became overwhelmed by the planning process so we began looking for wedding planners. After a thorough search, we came across Jules. The reviews were great and the communication during the inquiry process reassured us that we were making the right choice- we received responses quickly and often and were easily able to get in contact with her. In the middle of August, we decided to move forward and booked with her. I had already done a lot of research on venues and inquired about others. She suggested two venues that we decided were not quite the vibe that we were looking for. She booked a visit at one venue that fit our vision and we did a tour of this and two other venues we found. We fell in love with one of the venues we had found but learned that Jules was not available during the dates we were interested in/what the venue had available (in June 2024). Our venue requires a month-of and day-of coordinator, and since she was not available for our wedding day, we had to pay for their coordinators. We had a discussion with Jules about this and were reassured that we could continue to work together until we transition to working with our venue coordinators the month before the wedding. After this, communication dropped off and became extremely sparse. We did not receive any responses from her for weeks or a month at a time. We were contacted by her assistant at the beginning of November after nearly two months of no responses. Her assistant was able to tell us some lodging choices. At the end of November, Jules sent us quotes from the DJ list we had sent. The last communication we ever had with her was December 5th, 2023. I sent her a message a few days after that, and again in January, thinking she possibly took time off for the holidays but have never received a response. I have never written a negative review in my life but feel that people should be aware about this before they spend their hard-earned money thinking they will receive help with planning their wedding. TLDR: We paid over $2,000 and received the following: one venue tour booked on our behalf, a few DJ quotes from a list of DJs we sent, and the names of hotels near our venue.
