I could not be happier with the Graduate for our large wedding. The space was beautiful and the food was excellent. Jessica was beyond wonderful to work with. She put me at ease a...
nd thought of every little thing to make our day go great. Thank you!
We loved The Atherton, Jessica, and the entire staff. As Penn Staters, we always knew we wanted to get married at Penn State but we wanted to be downtown (where most of our memorie...
s are) and The Atherton just seemed like the perfect choice. Jessica (the coordinator) was amazing. She was easy to communicate with and extremely easy going. She helped us to choose a package that worked for us. We had around 125 guests and were very happy with having cocktail hour in the lobby and the reception in the main ballroom. Every staff member at The Atherton was professional and kind. Jessica thought of everything and made sure that we were happy with everything at every step. The week leading up to our wedding, it was projected to rain alllllll day. I panicked and decided to order about 20 golf sized umbrellas for the bridal party and Jessica actually let me just mail them directly to her at the Atherton. That is just one example of her kindness and commitment to good service. We loved every minute of our wedding and are so thankful to have chosen The Atherton.
My husband and I cannot say enough good things about having our wedding reception of about 80 people at the Atherton Hotel in May of 2018. Jessica, the coordinator was extremely de...
tail oriented with the planning of our day, and answered every question we had in a timely fashion. We felt fully at ease having the latter half of our day in her hands for the evening. The staff was extremely kind and made us feel welcome during our stay there the entire weekend (our hotel block was set up at the Atherton as well). In addition to the well-trained staff, the cost of the wedding was extremely affordable, especially compared to some other pricing in the State College area. We cannot recommend using the Atherton Hotel enough!

ook care of everything and I didn't have to think about the cocktail hour or reception on my wedding day. The food was absolutely delicious. We also had a welcoming reception for guests the night before the wedding! Being in the heart of downtown was a great plus. The hotel worked with us on everything. I highly recommend as a venue!!!!!
My husband and I spent our wedding night in jacuzzi pent house suite which was spacious and intimate at the same time. We bought the sweetheart package so were were given champagne...
, chocolate covered strawberries, a free breakfast, a discount on supper, and a 2PM checkout. The food was very good as well. We enjoyed eating and discussing the murals in the dinning area. The decor and cleanliness was impeccable and we had a wonderful time because we were in a wonderful environment.
This venue was a perfect size for our wedding. They were easy to contact and meet with when we had questions. We had a few mishaps during the wedding but nothing major, and nothing...

ates at any time. She collected everything from me for the reception the week before the wedding, listened to exactly how I wanted everything to be put out and decorated, and she had my entire reception decorated beautifully when I arrived. The food at the Atherton is AMAZING. I had so many compliments on how delicious everything was, and the wait staff did a stupendous job! My wedding reception was absolutely beautiful, stress free, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night!
