Grand Finale Desserts and Pastries

I originally reached out to Justin for a quote on a 3 tier cake. Described the deign that I wanted (easily would work for 3 or 4 tiers) he told me it wouldn’t be a problem, that he could do that. And that I would want 4 not 3 tiers for the amount of guest I have. I originally wanted to supplement the missing cake with other deserts from home (cookies, brownies…) was told no they have to supply all deserts if they supply the cake. I respected that. I was told 4 tier cakes are about $650. Which seemed fair. So I bought a cake tasting box ($15, very reasonable). I went to the address provided and couldn’t find the bakery, i went into a local business that was at that address and they pointed me to a window (not service window, like a house window with a screen) I talked to a lady and she brought out the box, it was really sketchy. No one gave me any information on the box, just flavors Scribbled on top of the little containers nothing on the cakes. It wasn’t until days later I got any questions answered when Justin replied to my email. I told him what flavors I wanted and was immediately shot down because I wanted a different flavor per tier. I was told I’m only allowed 2. So that irritated me that I didn’t know about that prior to the tasting. But we chose 2 and let him know, along with pictures of the design we had already talked about so that he understood the color combination that I was looking for. Over a week later he finally emailed me back wanting me to sign a contract. This is when I was told it would be $450 more for my design, that didn’t change at all from the original description. So in all the cake would be just under $1200 including delivery. Overall terrible experience. He didn’t get back to me in reasonable amounts of time, the price is insane and I should have been told upfront. And the bakery was sketchy and weird. Won’t be working with them. Complete waste of my time. Only thing good about them is the flavors in the tasting box were good and the cake was moist.
