As the bride, I had hoped for a more balanced representation of both our musical tastes, especially since dancing means so much to me and I knew I’d be on the dance floor as much as possible. Unfortunately, I felt my portion of the requested playlist was ignored, and we had to approach the DJ table to request my songs again. My husband had one specific song he wanted played during the open dance time, which was included, but my request for 2010-2015 club hits—featuring artists like Lil Jon and Usher—was mentioned but not fulfilled. Instead, the open dance portion mostly featured music from the 70s, with songs like "Play That Funky Music," "Dancing Queen," and "Brick House." Overall, the DJ did a good job mixing the music he played, but I would have loved a better collaboration that included my vision for our special day. If you're considering hiring them, just be sure to communicate your expectations clearly.

We were worried initially that we would have a hard time getting older family members to dance, however, even our grandparents were having a great time all night! When booking, Michelle was very responsive and accommodating to our needs! She always answered emails within days at most, and checked up on us between booking and the event. With some vendors, it can cause a little stress when you don't hear from them for months at a time, especially with a high-pressure day like a wedding. However, the lovely people at Grant Hemond and Associates made sure to keep in touch, which definitely helped ease our anxiety! Sometimes, when booking vendors, you can start to question if "what you pay for is what you get." I can solidly say that this was NOT the case with Grant Hemond. One of the reasons we pursued them as a vendor was because they were actually affordable with their offerings, and their add-ons were a good price as well! The owner, Michelle, was happy to work with us on pricing for up-lighting our venue, and I could not be happier with the result! My husband and I had a couple of requests as far as specific versions of songs that we wanted played, and Jason did amazing at making sure the correct version was played on the day! His overall demeanor and attention to detail really made the day so smooth and fun for all our guests. Overall, if you're looking for a reliable, affordable, and professional DJ service, I would recommend Grant Hemond every time!

Every transition was seamless, and Tom masterfully read the room, knowing exactly when to amp things up and when to slow it down for those special moments. The Photo Booth was very popular as well. We provided a guest book and asked photos from the Photo Booth to be included.
