Grant was amazing. My husband had asked for ALL of the pictures, and Grant sent us all of them. He had so much energy that day, it sure helped me to take pictures. And I loved all of the candid shots that he took. It helped me to see all of the little things I didn't notice/see that day with everything else going on. Amazing deal for the price, and such a wonderful person to work with. Will not be disappointed if you book him.

Grant made my wedding day SO very special! I knew from the first time we met that he would be fabulous and he did not disappoint. Wow, what great energy, enthusiasm, charisma, creativity, and attention to detail. My wedding party was quite large (25 total) and he was fantastic working with all of us individually and collectively. He took the time to get all of the important details from me and even went to our suite to photograph my dress because it was a better shot! Throughout the night he took amazing photos of all of the over 225 guests making everyone feel a part of the evening. He was so professional throughout the entire process. I met him and hired him a year before my wedding and he kept in touch and asked for a list of specific photos I wanted and who was most important for me to be photographed with at the wedding. I just can't give him enough accolades for how engaging he was with everyone, how polite he was and so relaxed. I hate taking pictures and he made me feel so at ease. I would not only recommend him to all brides, but I would say if you don't hire him you're depriving your special day of that "x" factor that helps create the essence of the moment. He took thousands of photographs and sent one to us immediately after as a sample of all the goodness yet to come from the remaining photos. Truly a gifted artist and consummate professional. Grant did an amazing job with our wedding at a reasonable price and sent us all of the pictures he took on a thumb drive just days after the wedding. What more could you ask for?

Choosing Grant to be our photographer was a no-brainer. Grant captured three of my cousins' weddings. I love their pictures and hoped that when my big day rolled around, mine could be as beautiful. Once we were engaged, Grant was the second decision we made (right after nailing the date at the venue). It is without a doubt that Grant was worth every single penny. Grant remembered some of the special photo requests that we had and brought his own ideas. Our dog was our flowergirl, but that didn't stumble him at all. Grant is an amazing wedding photographer. I hate taking any kind of pictures so having his energy was so needed for the amount of pictures that we needed. He was great and kept the wedding moving along quite well. When we got all of the pictures they turned out wonderful. I would definitely recommend him for your wedding.

Grant did an amazing job as the photographer for our wedding. His energy, enthusiasm, and passion were unmatched and he truly added to the culture of our wedding and made out special day even better. Grant is not afraid to ask or direct wedding participants into certain positions to capture the best shots. Grant has a loud, commanding voice and outgoing presence, and was able to capture amazing photos of both my wife and I, our family and wedding party and other wedding participants and venue. Our guests loved him as well and a few people even complimented me on picking out such a fun and thorough photographer. Not only did the pictures from the wedding turn out fabulous but the turn around time on picture delivery was extremely fast as well. It took Grant just a few weeks to get us back all our pictures! He was able to get our proposal pictures sent back to us within a week. Truly remarkable service. I would highly recommend Grant as a wedding photographer or for any type of photography in general. Our proposal pictures turned out amazing as well. We plan on using Grant in the future for other photography needs.

Grant is crazy amazing! I first found Grant while attending my friends' wedding that he was hired to work at. I knew right then that he was going to be my photographer! My wedding was 10 days ago and I am still flying high on the excitement of my wedding. And a huge thanks for that has to go to Grant. Not only did I believe this, but several people at my wedding said that Grant made the party that much more fun! He was high energy for the whole 12 hours we hired him for! He was super flexible in dealing with our different shoot locations (hotel to get ready, park for ceremony and a hall for the reception). He made the whole experience fun and engaging! He even got several awesome photos of us with our flower girl, she is our fur baby, pug. There was maybe one time after the ceremony when we felt like we where done with photos. But we couldn't help but feed off of Grant's enthusiasm. And after looking at the photos now, I absolutely don't regret taking the extra couple of minutes to shoot a few more poses! As a digital artist myself, my favorite thing that Grant does is snap thousands of photos and then simply hands them over! It gives me the freedom to not only edit lighting and effects on the photos but more importantly, I get to choose which shots are my favorite! I will advise that he very literally sends thousandssss of photos. I got around 5000! So it means that you have to do a bit more leg work after receiving the flash drive. But again, getting the freedom to choose any of the photos including the "blooper" photos is priceless. With that said, With all the photos he took, they all where amazingly shot, and I don't even feel the need to spend days.. or even hours editing them. I might play with a couple that i want to print on a large scale, but otherwise perfect for digital sharing! I can't thank him enough! If his price and his skilled photography wasn't enough, his personality was nothing short of being the iceing on the cake! With all the weddings i have yet to attend this year and next, I would not be surprised at all if I ran into him again! Thank you again, Grant. We love you!

Grant was the photographer for my wedding in May. He was absolutely amazing. We got so many compliments from our guests about him. He gave every great direction; no one was confused about what they were supposed to be doing. AND he kept everyone laughing and smiling the whole day. You won't find anyone better. Some of our party members were skeptical at first that one man could do as much as Grant offered, but by the end of the day, Grant exceeded everyone's expectations. If our wedding was a football game, Grant was Russel Wilson! My wife met him at the Tacoma Wedding Convention, and when she started to tell me about the different vendors and photographers she had met, she kept coming back to Grant. His energy and fun-loving personality made an immediate impression, and when I was able to met him later on, I had to agree that we had found the perfect person to shoot our wedding. We made the decision early on that though we needed to keep our wedding on a budget, we were going to get a great photographer, and what a wonderful decision that was! For a great price that fit perfectly into our budget, Grant gave us everything we wanted and more. When we needed a MC, he stepped up. When we needed direction and experience (we were the first of our friends to get married so we were playing it by ear), he pointed us in the right direction. And his positive energy on our big day pushed us and kept us going through every transition, from getting ready to bridal and groom photos, from the wedding ceremony to family photos after, and of course, throughout the reception. Since the wedding, we have had so many friends and family exclaim over how wonderful he was and everyone with whom we've shared our story and our photos have been amazed with everything he created and captured. On top of everything that wasn't in his job description, his photos were incredible. We have about 700 photos from our engagement shoot, and something close to seven thousand pictures for the wedding and reception. All of which we have the rights to. He didn't charge per hour, so when we decided to add an hour to the reception we didn't have to stress. He was there from when we started setting up until after we left for the hotel, getting great shots and helping everyone get into the wedding spirit. My wife and I even talked on our way to the hotel how it was a little sad that the wedding was over because we weren't sure if there was another event in our lives we could afford/need a photographer for. Rest assured though, if we hire a photographer again, it's going to be Grant.

Highly professional and lots of fun! From the moment he arrived to the church and until the wedding was over late in the evening, Grant was working non stop taking pictures and entertaining all guests. Everyone kept saying this is the best photographer they have ever seen. It is true for me. We received our photos yesterday, tons of them and they are perfect! Thank you Grant! We feel so lucky and honored to have you at my daughter's wedding.

We originally hired Grant because he had great energy during our 'getting-to-know-you' meeting (casual coffee shop atmosphere, and he brought a bunch of photo books for us to look at). Our main goal for the wedding was to make sure everyone had a great time. Grant was in contact with me for the months leading up to the wedding, made sure that we had all the details nailed down, and was happy to meet us at the 'pre-wedding' bridal prep area on the day-of and then follow us to the church. We got married in a Catholic church, which has some photography restrictions, but he managed to get hundreds of beautiful photos during the ceremony. He was discreet during the peaceful ceremony (I don't think a single person noticed him). At the reception he made sure to catch every moment. Numerous guests remarked at how we had found such an awesome photographer. He was really energetic and dialed-in the whole time (I was impressed that he could stay so enthusiastic). Grant sends all of the photos he takes on DVD discs (unedited). Ours arrived shortly after we returned from our honeymoon two weeks later. There were 8 discs - somewhere around 6,000 photos. It's a bit to go through but was actually quite fun and it was nice to have our pick of the litter. Plus, his pricing is amazing compared to every other comparable photographer we looked at (and we live in the future where i-devices can make at-home editing cheap and easy). I would HIGHLY recommend Grant for anyone who wants an energetic photographer and who doesn't mind a little 'dirty work' after the fact.

When I met Grant at the Tacoma Wedding Expo I knew he would be the perfect choice for our wedding. I am so glad I went with my instincts! Never in my life have I met such an upbeat, fun person while they are working. He throws himself into his work so entirely. He first showed us his great attitude at the bridal show at the Tacoma Dome. My husband and I were still deciding on photographers at the time, but as soon as we met Grant we both just looked at each other and said "Yes! He's the one!". He brought such life into taking pictures we all just had a blast! My family felt comfortable and very happy. I was amazed on how he got all the shots he did. The whole time Grant was taking pictures during our wedding, our whole bridal party was talking about how he is now going to do their weddings as well! If we were pent-up stressballs on our wedding day, Grant was the relief valve. His high energy, high effort attitude was exactly why we hired him. We knew that as the day and night wore on, our eagerness to keep going would wax and wane. Grant was always there to lift us up, snap a picture and tell us to keep on going. Even with an unorthodox photoshoot involving all of my husband's car buddies (and cars), he was totally into it. He takes A LOT of fantastic photos which he sent to us on CDs about 1 week after the wedding. We just pick and choose at our leisure (although choosing which ones to show family and friends is the real hard part). If you want someone that won't let you forget how spectacular your wedding day is, go with Grant.

I found Grant at the Seattle wedding show in January. We were able to work out a deal that fit perfectly within my budget. My fiance and I met up with him for an engagement photo shoot and the images turned out pretty well, but nothing outstanding. It made me a bit nervous for the actual wedding, but he had such high reviews so I was able to remain confident. When the wedding day came, Grant showed up right on time and was ready and eager to start taking pictures. His personality was infectious and put everyone at ease. As a member of a large family, I know how chaotic it can get trying to organize everyone for pictures. Grant was not afraid to take charge. He was able to get everyone where they needed to be and get great pictures and stay within our timeline. I can tell in the wedding pictures that everyone had genuine smiles. He got several shots of each pose and a wide variety of poses pre-wedding with all of our family members. During the wedding he was stealthy and efficient. I never noticed where he was, but he still managed to get great shots of every event in the wedding. He got a huge array of candid shots of all of our guests, and a lot of cute portraits of all of our guests. I have had several people comment that our photographer was a blast and they really had fun at the wedding. Grant used 2 cameras- one with a normal lens and one with a wide angle lens, which allowed for a lot of different types of pictures of each event. It took less than 2 weeks after the wedding to get a DVD in the mail with all 6,000 pictures. The DVDs contained every image he took, un-watermarked and in high resolution. Long story short- he was a high quality, high energy photographer and my husband and I would use again in a heartbeat. We both highly recommend him!

Grant Horiuchi was our "photographer" for our wedding. Notice the quotation marks. The reason I included those is because Grant was so so so much more than a "photographer". He was a new friend. An inspiring figure that stood out at our wedding. Grant seemed like he was everywhere at once. I almost could swear he has a twin or is using some 23rd century technology to transpose his image and likeness through space and time. Grant was humble, yet was able to control people to get together for specific photographs. He was not rude, in fact, quite the opposite. Some controlling photographers go too far when they tell people what to do. With Grant, it felt more like we were an untouched clump of clay and he was molding our wedding party into the perfect poses. Grant seamlessly covered our entire wedding, entertained guests with his outgoing and genuine personality, and completed the atmosphere of our wedding that we were looking for. When we met Grant at a recent wedding show in Seattle. We had talked with him for maybe 5 minutes. And something just clicked, we knew this was our guy. It was the best decision we made for our wedding. Thank you Grant for being you! I found Grant from attending another friend's wedding and I was so impressed with his positive disposition and overall professionalism that I booked him asap for my wedding. Then when I saw my friends wedding pictures it sealed the deal that this guy has to be the best wedding photographer that I've ever met or heard of!!! Follow through and on time, check! Able to get a photo of all 200 of my guests in one shot, check! Able to get photos of my mother in law that goes out of her way not to be photographed, check! Personable, friendly and warm to all of my guest, check! Absolutely beautiful pictures of the whole wedding day, check! We traveled to attend my cousins wedding in Seattle and we still can't believe we met our wedding photographer there. After watching Grant photograph her wedding. We knew we had to have him photograph our wedding in La Jolla, CA. He was amazing. Our pictures are stunning, his energy was refreshing and our family's and guested loved him. Grant took a very active role, directing us and others, picking locations and scenes. He was great with kids. Very happy with the results. These will be good memories. Well worth the money, and I'd hire Grant again. Only nitpick was we got two different sets of pictures (from different cameras) and we had to try ourselves to put them together (i.e. which ones were from the same setting or scene).

Things happen for a reason and seeing Grant Horiuchi photograph a friend's wedding weeks before my own was a blessing. I could not find a photographer that shared my vision or someone that I could connect wih. Grant Horiuchi went above and beyond with his service and with the photos that I was presented with after our wedding. I asked for unlimited photos, rights to those photos and photos of everyone and everything there and he did it and he did it with so much spirit, so much enthusiasm, so much patience and always with a smile on his face. My Dad is a prickly old guy and doesn't like being photographed and way before the night ended my Dad said take my picture with so and so and so and so and even tipped Grant a $20. I appreciated that Grant wasn't shy, he just got in there and took those shots. Even my Aunties were calling his name to take their pictures. I've never seen that at other weddings and I've been to many weddings. My family and friends keep hounding me for their picture copy. LOL! Grant didn't have much time to review my answers to his questionnaire because of the time frame for which I submitted it back to him but he sure did remember everything I listed on it. My husband (yippee) and I are overweight and we are self-concious about our body image but not that day. We felt good and we felt calm and a lot of it had to do with the direction and the kindness that Grant gave us when working with our shots. Grant even saw beauty in the area around our church that even we hadn't noticed before. When I look at the pictures, what I see is what I remember feeling from that day. I felt beautiful, I felt loved and I felt beyond happy and that's what my photos show. It was great working with Grant Horiuchi, it was a great experience and on behalf of my husband and my extended family we are looking forward to working with Grant again...for someone else's wedding though, I'm happily married. We knew he was the one when we met him. He is a fun-loving guy with an amazing energy about him. He did such a great job at our wedding. Totally brought the best out of everyone in photos.
