Gray Duck Bake Shop

We thought our cake was amazing and delicious too! We had a few restrictions in selecting a bakery because I (the bride) am gluten free. We did decide on carrot cake for the main cake and would get a second flavor for those that for some reason don't like carrot cake:) We tried several more expensive bakeries, and everyone had great gluten free carrot cake, but the other flavors were not as moist nor tasty - until we met with Mary at Gray Duck. She had never made gluten free cake before, but for our samples we got carrot, vanilla and red velvet and it was delicious (even the none gluten free folks liked her cake the best!). Most places only offer vanilla or lemon, so to get a great red velvet cake was awesome! Second we wanted the cake decorated like a birch tree to match the theme. Mary was the only one that ran with the design and suggested where to add a knot in the wood and wasn't phased when my husband said he wanted rings on the top (like if you had cut a piece of wood). Our only concern was that she is part -time (which means no back up if something should happen, God forbid), but we all agreed that the taste of the cake and the creativeness of her design were worth the risk! I am glad we did, because the cake was delicious (both flavors) and it was beautiful! She really did a great job and we are really happy with our choice!
