We requested some light hearted humor but also a little sweet and romantic. He hit on exactly everything we could of imagined. Anytime I speak with my family and we talk about the wedding, they mention our officiant and how amazing, engaging and couldn’t of been more perfect for our wedding. Unfortunately due to COVID we had to postpone our wedding not only once, but TWICE! We were so thankful that Alan was still available. (Yes, I know, best wife award hahaha) Alan including sooo many Back to the Future references throughout the ceremony and it was just absolutely PERFECT!!! 10/10 would definitely recommend him!!!

We had no clue what to expect but Roger walked us through all the steps, from getting a marriage license to the ceremony. This was one of the most stressful events for my fiancé and I but Roger took a huge weight off our shoulders and guided us through every little detail with his experience and knowledge of weddings. He made us calm and laugh during times of nervousness and anxiety. He entertained my guests amazingly and filled the ceremony with fun and laughter. The two that picked out were booked, but he quickly had someone in mind based on the people I had chosen. He sent Rev Gab my way. He did not fail to impress. They helped us choose our location, Pointe Dume. Rev Gab was easy to work with and really took my husband and my story to heart. He centered the words of his ceremony to match us perfectly. We were late to our own wedding due to it being a new area and traffic in LA, but he was so patient and understanding! It was, hands down, the most beautiful day of my life! Great Officiants also has a huge selection of ways to customize your ceremony, so we were able to select one that we truly felt reflected who we were as a couple. There was a little bit of a glitch with our amp during the ceremony (issue with the venue), but Clifford went forward without interruption and our guests commented that they were still able to hear the entire thing (even from the back). We had our wedding on New Year’s Eve (12.31.21) out at the Irvine Spectrum Marriott and wanted our entire event to be a party (since it’s also NYE) and Roger delivered!!! My husband and I are huge jokesters and Alan played a joke on us and our guests during our ceremony by telling us he got the President of a trucking association (My Husband is a Truck Driver) to attend! It was hilarious and perfect!! He made our ceremony so personal to us that we couldn't have asked for anyone better than Alan!! Kudos to you, Alan, for hitting a home run for us!! Our wedding was almost 2 months ago now and our friends and family are still talking about how Epic Alan and our ceremony was!!! Pick 3 to interview. Have a little tête-à-tête and pick the one you like. It also sounded that like if the 3 you picked weren’t a good fit, Alan would be willing to Goldilocks with you. There’s not enough space here to talk about how fantastic Roger is. But I will try anyway. 1) we actually have mutual acquaintances . 2) he was a comedian on a cruise boat so he fit our criteria of a light, funny ceremony 3) he really wanted to know us as a couple like all the little details & was able to tailor the ceremony to fit us 4)he did such a great job that people thought we had picked a friend to officiate our wedding. We had the pleasure of telling them we paid him to say nice things about us. Pros: Diversity- Great Officiants has different religions, languages, faiths. Love wizards? Some of them will dress as Gandalf (for a fee). Seamless interview process. Online application was very easy Roger. Pick him, just do it (unless you have a sense of humor akin to a teaspoon) Cons: Great Officiants definitely has a monopoly on the market and is on every venue list. So honestly I didn’t really interview any others. So I have nothing to compare to. Travel Fees. I have to write some kind of negative. This is a standard industry practice not really a con but something to be aware of as Roger lives in LA county and our wedding was in OC)

Roger really took the time to make it special, he allowed us a moment of silence in the beginning to commemorate those who couldn't be with us (like my Dad who I lost when I was 9, my Grandfather who I lost earlier this year, and my husband's Grandmother who passed a few years back) it was so special to us. Our wedding was Harry Potter-themed and Roger DID NOT DISAPPOINT! He came in full Hogwarts Student garb from the cloak to the tie! I really can't say enough about him, you can tell he just loves what he does and it so shows. If I could recommend him to everyone I would. Go with Roger, you won't regret it!

I expressed that I wanted a bilingual ceremony as well as to have someone of faith to bless our marriage. He told us how to find the perfect candidates and that is how Father Geoff came about! Father Geoff checked all of the boxes! He was bilingual in Spanish and English and was a person of faith!! We decided to go with him and we had two phone calls with him which were very helpful and he also had so many resources for us to use for the day of our wedding. I didn't tell my family I was going to have a Father at the wedding so when my family saw him it was an amazing surprise and they are still talking about it! The ceremony was lovely and everyone felt included and he did not take too long which was very important to me. He also added my cultural traditions of the arras and the lasso. Another thing to mention is that I was also able to get my marriage license through Great Officiants since it was so hard for me to go to the county office. They got it done the same week I asked which was one less headache!!
