Kate and Jen made the process so easy. Between choosing the venue, picking the band, dealing with COVID uncertainties, actually running the show the day of, and a million other things, they were always responsive, patient, and so much fun to work with. It’s hard to know what the perfect wedding will look like ahead of time, and although we had some vague general ideas and a couple weirdly specific requests, we weren’t really sure about how it would all come together. Kate and Jen took the time to listen to us, giving us formal questions and plenty of their time to talk things out informally. It felt like they immediately got what we were saying and had ideas about how to make our wedding come to life. They were honest when they thought something might not work, and creative when we were trying to come up with solutions to an issue. All of that was so important because it could often feel really hard to plan a wedding while managing two busy careers and everything else in our lives, and it was so reassuring to know we had them making sure everything was on track. Their experience and their willingness to get to know us made everything come together that whole weekend in a way we’ll never forget. The best part about working with Kate and Jen is how much they clearly LOVE what they do, and truly feel invested in the couples that they are planning with. This really does not feel like just a job to them, and we felt so supported throughout by their warm and personal approach. We genuinely miss them so much already, and it's only been a month since our wedding.

Kate and Jen are the ones that you should choose for your big day as coordinators. They were always available for communication and answered any questions we had (logistics, insurance, table set up, etc.), they contacted our other vendors and venue coordinators to ensure that everything was all set, and they created the perfect itinerary to help with the flow of our wedding. We can't thank them enough for making our special day absolutely perfect in every way.

They worked tirelessly (and I don’t use that term lightly!) to help us plan an event at a house upstate that is not set up for large events. From working directly with vendors, to helping us know what questions to ask, to visiting the site in person with us to develop a run of show, they guided us every step of the way. We had no idea how many little details go into putting a wedding together, but we never felt overwhelmed because we knew Jen and Kate had our backs! They even helped supply us with decorations for our socially-distant reception and oversaw our rehearsal. In all sincerity, there is no way we could have pulled off our special day without their incredible skill. We are truly grateful for Green Apple and recommend them whole-heartedly. Special Bonus: They are super down to earth and fun to be around!

Jen are incredibly warm and incredibly professional and made sure our wedding day was a delight and a breeze. They absolutely went above and beyond, expertly handling kooky family members and doing things we hadn't even asked of them to ensure an amazing experience for our guests (and for us, too!). They also provided incredibly valuable advice and recommendations and, effectively, therapy via email in the months leading up to the wedding! Trust me: Send them a message right now! You’ll be very, very glad you did.

ing a wedding. Generally or at my age. GAW took it all on happily and none of us ever looked back. Kate and Jen were highly professional, on top of everything all the time. And given their amazing suggestions for vendors (we got married at the culinary institute in NY so it was out of state for us), we had little to do ourselves and yet it was the best party I’ve ever been to! Our goal was simple: food everywhere and memories of a great party. Check and check. The venue was beautiful and I cannot say enough about it and Jason Lowenthal - the CIA’s amazing event coordinator. But that is a separate review for a separate day. I am a huge foodie and the CIA was always on our list. But we did not expect how well all the vendors worked together under the careful choreography of Kate Diaz and GAW and how smoothly everything went (at least to us and that’s what this is all about!). Kate suggested (and then completely organized) the photographer (Kate Uhry), the florist (Melarosa) and the DJ /cocktail hour music(A Starry Night). All were amazing and we deferred to them to work their magic - for the most part. None disappointed. We used “Not A Booth” photobooth, which, as the name suggests, is not only not a booth but also prints 4x6 pix that can be framed. Brian, of Not a Booth, is a photographer by trade. He has an amazing eye, wonderful disposition, which with our crazy guest list probably came in useful, and he gave us some extra pix bc he saw a great shot as people were lining up. It was the hit of the wedding. Kate got our thoughts on rentals - tables, chairs, linens etc (we deferred more than we didn’t) and the took care of it all! Given our short time period to plan (engaged in May and married in September of the same year!), you’d think this would’ve been a huge challenge. It probably was for Kate and GAW. But the key point for me, is that it wasn’t - for me and Jim. Kate and Jen always had a can do attitude. From day 1. And they always got it done. Frankly, I can’t imagine thinking about a wedding for any longer than the 3 months we did- and in fact I’d recommend a short planning period with GAW! Sorry Ladies! Green Apple Weddings exceeded every expectation I had at every turn. Even my skeptical husband who initially wanted to do this himself (or have me do it all), said that this was the best money spent as part of the wedding. I couldn’t agree more! Not to mention that Kate and Jen are wonderful people to boot! I’d be happy to talk to anyone thinking about a planner generally or full planning, specifically. And if in NY or western CT, this is the group you want to go with. You’ll thank me....just not as much as you’ll thank them!

lf, and were anxious about orchestrating a wedding with our student schedules and workloads. We heard of G. A. through a family friend and decided to meet with Kate. From the beginning it felt like the universe had dropped a gift into our laps. At first we weren’t sure what level of planning assistance we wanted, but after meeting we decided on the full service option, and we are both *so* grateful that we did! Kate was such a calm, kind, steady, practical, and caring presence from Day 1. At first we only had a broad strokes vision of what we wanted -- a celebration focused on fellowship, with a priority on the comfort and enjoyment of friends and family -- but Kate instantly *got* the feeling we wanted to create, and was excited to help us make that a reality. We wanted to host the ceremony, reception, and meals outside on a family farm in rural CT in October. We knew that meant a TON of logistical planning, but I don’t think we truly appreciated how many moving pieces that would involve. We worked with Kate and Jen over the course of ~11 months, and through it all, they were amazing: they created a detailed timeline for the planning process, kept everything organized, calm, and moving along; they gave us helpful feedback and reality checks when needed, and made us feel so supported and comfortable asking questions and bouncing around ideas. And we had a LOT (i.e., way too many!) of ideas about details we wanted to include. Kate and Jen were wonderful about helping us think through how to choose the right things given the budget we settled on and the realities of planning an outdoor wedding. They were so thoughtful about sending us gentle reminders re: approaching deadlines, decisions, etc., and were nothing but patient with all our questions and occasional nerves. And SO hands-on (in the best way)! Kate and Jen were always willing to take as much of a lead as we needed them to, and were happy to get in the weeds with us whenever we needed support -- whether that was in vetting a huge number of vendors for everything from a tent, tables, heating lamps, a DJ, and a restroom trailer, to hay bales, fire bowls, flowers, and food (Kate even accompanied us as we tried out catering options in the Hudson Valley); creating a variety of floor plans for us to choose from; sourcing/putting together the decor and flowers for the ceremony (helping create bouquets and centerpieces, stringing lights along a fence in the field, and way more); or suggesting the perfect idea for a “guest book” when I was making things overly-complicated. Through it all Kate and Jen went continuously above and beyond. They were both so generous with their time and spirit, and were instrumental in helping design and coordinate a fabulous, joyful celebration for everyone involved, from the earliest brainstorming stages to the day-of logistics and itinerary. We had a wonderful time at our wedding -- as our first anniversary approaches, family and friends continue to reach out to say what a wonderful time it was. :) We couldn’t have done it without Kate and Jen, and the peace of mind we had along the way, knowing they were in our corner and keeping all the balls in the air, was an incredible gift. Thank you, Kate and Jenn, for everything you did to make our wedding so special!

On the day of our wedding, Kate ensured our plan was well executed and addressed guest questions and other minor issues that inevitably arose, allowing us to relax and be absorbed in the moment. She is also a joy to work with - friendly, energetic and reassuring. We strongly recommend her for an event of any size.

They were always available to answer one of my random questions, and were really a godsend in helping me communicate with the many, many vendors that go into a backyard wedding. While they were so organized and detail oriented, these ladies never hesitated to jump into any sticky situation - even dealing with a disgruntled vendor the night of the wedding, and staying on top of a DJ whom we had had little communication with leading up to the big day. In the calmest manner possible, these ladies ran about making sure every tiny detail the day of was taken care of (including making sure I was fed, and taken care of!), and the night ran smoothly and on schedule. They are so easy-going and ready to run with whatever idea I threw their way, and I felt they were really personally invested in my big day. The only time she pulled me aside to ask me a questions was because the florist was arranging something differently to the notes I gave Kate. She remembered the details I sent and made sure there was nothing off from what I had planned. She took care of all the vendors (and family) and made it feel like everything was going smoothly. Because of Green Apple Weddings, I was able to enjoy my wedding.

erfect wedding day without Kate & Jennifer. They were available to answer our questions (as ridiculous as these questions may have been at times) from the moment we hired them to be a part of our day. Our wedding was held at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City and while the staff there is wonderful, there isn't a day of coordinator to help with all the details leading up to the day. As funny as it sounds, the reason I decided I was hiring a wedding planner was because I had a moment about halfway through planning where I thought to myself "who's going to cue the music and make sure we all know when to walk down the aisle?"While my husband was initially skeptical and it wasn't a cost we had budgeted for, he agreed. Enter Kate. She knows the Metropolitan Building like the back of her hand (seriously. I think our wedding was like her 106th here). About 6 weeks before our wedding, we did a walk through with Kate to select items, go over floor plans and just talk about the experience we want our guests to have. We walked out that day and my husband exhaled and said "this is literally the best money we've ever spent. No way we could do this without her". Kate & Jen did what we feel was so beyond partial planning. They contacted vendors, created floor plans and timelines for the day, helped us select antiques to be used to decorate the space, eased any nerves we had and yes, told us when it was time to walk down the aisle. Wedding planning involves so many details. We are eternally grateful for Kate & Jen's help throughout our engagement and on our wedding day. My husband and I are both sad we don't get to talk to them anymore but hopefully our paths cross again soon! Book Green Apple Weddings & Events. Make room in the budget. She has resources for every thing you could possible want and we mean ever thing!!! We can't even imagine what else she could have done for us! Kate met us at the venue for a planning meeting and walk-through prior to the wedding, which was so helpful. She really knew the venue and had great ideas for placement of decor. Prior to the wedding, she confirmed and finalized schedules for all of my vendors, which really took the stress and pressure off of me. She worked with our officiant to coordinate and run the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, which helped everyone feel prepared and at ease. On the wedding day, me, my husband and our parents were able to truly relax and enjoy the day, since Kate was on top of everything. Kate's assistant was unfortunately ill on my wedding day, so her husband stepped in as an assistant to lend an extra hand. This really showed to me how devoted Kate is and how willing she is to go above and beyond! Kate ensured that everything went smoothly at the wedding. It felt like everything magically fell into place, but I know that it was Kate working her magic behind the scenes. I can't thank her enough for helping to make our wedding day so perfect!

reen Apple was highly recommended to me by a very detail oriented colleague. After my first phone call with Kate, I knew I had to hire her. Kate and her team provided, clam, clarity, and detail. She asked questions of me I wouldn't have thought to address, she asked questions of my vendors I wouldn't have known to ask. She acted as anchor, and brought clarity to many a situation made difficult by too many cooks in the kitchen, she ran the show day of and took wonderful care of my husband and I. Kate is a strong and calming presence, who was always on call, and available to me, I truly cannot recommend Green Apple enough.
