If you are a same sex couple, don’t bother wasting your time. My very first contact stated that we are same sex. They allowed us to make an appointment to tour the venue. My fiancé...
, her mom and I drove over 3 hours (one way) and toured the venue. The woman hosting the tour never said anything. She watched as we excitedly planned placement of decor and tables in the reception area, showed us the chapel, grounds, and one of the cabins. She told us our date was available. We loved it and wanted to book it. We were told to contact the owner. I did so the following day. 5 days later I finally get a call back only for the owner to tell me they do not host same sex weddings. We are so sad and frustrated.
To the owner, please list on your various websites that you don’t host same sex weddings. I don’t want this happening to someone else. It’s cruel that we were given false hope. Planning a wedding is already stressful.
Not LGBTQ friendly!!!
My sister and her fiancée were denied being able to use this venue for their upcoming wedding. They told the venue when they first emailed the venue to set u...
p a visit, that they were a same sex couple. The venue then proceeded to set up a visit and when they tried to put down a deposit, they were told that they could not do so, due to the fact that they were two women.
As a wedding venue in 2021, this is embarrassing and just plain disheartening. Why would you not be upfront about your policies. There is nothing on their website stating they do not hold same sex marriages. Instead, they allowed a couple to fall in love with their venue, start making additional plans and then pulled it all from under their feet.
My wonderful day at Green Frog was truly the best of my life. The space was the perfect place to get ready in, and we have the most beautiful pictures (and memories) from it! Krist...
a provided us with everything we needed, but she did a great job of giving us all the space we needed! My bridesmaids and I stayed in the B&B so we were already on site when we woke up on the wedding day. It made for such an easy day!
Great to work with! Beautiful place. Has all the amenities needed for a wedding including guest accommodations!
